I just don't understand how people think it's a great idea to try cooking something they haven't cooked before to win a competition. Wouldn't it be so much better to cook something that you know will work?
Rebekah Samuels yes I thought that too but I guess people want to think out of the box but at least practice new things you don't normally cook.

The vegetarian, queen of vegetables, ate all kinds of animal gelatin without checking. Foodies know what is used to set cold deserts.
she's not a vegetarian, she's a pescatarian so she still eats living things. I'm a professional chef and there are vegetarian ways to set desserts besides gelatin such as agar agar. just saying...
Freezing makes the dessert solid too.

Someone who eats fish and seafood, couscous cooked in chicken stock, marshmallows and desserts made with gelatin... wears leather shoes and has animal skin and fur rugs.... is NOT a vegetarian and should not be calling themselves one. She's so full of herself.

Andrew actually has NO CLUE about good food. And his...19 whatever called wants their whatever back is so 19 whatever, and they want their saying back. He played DIRTY by scoring the lowest I have seen on this show.
The fake vegetarian was annoying, pushy, and dull.
Manon was lovely, and she had a good meal!
Tracy's meal could have been so much better if she executed it better.
Brent was a sweetheart, and went through a lot of trouble and work with his main and dessert. Andrew was clearly jealous and nit picking. He could have NEVER pulled that off. I guarantee it. Brent should have won, and he can cook me dinner any time!
I wish I could like your comment 100 times I completely agree. I love Brett what a sweet, funny, gracious guy and he really put a lot of effort and thought into his night.

Wait, wait, she only eats wild caught salmon because she wants what is sustainable? What's more sustainable than fish farms? That's like saying you only like your furniture built out of trees that aren't grown for the purpose of being cut down... wtf (also, I'm a vegetarian and I don't get her logic)

Wow... lots of anger in the comment section. Jennie is a pescatarian and the narrator commented on that, then referred to her incorrectly after as a vegan. Both she and Andrew are just mean. Simply put.
I was raised a vegetarian and my mum put out food for her guests, not for herself and she did so graciously and without any judgement. People didn’t even notice the meatless dishes on her plates. She didn’t mind one bit that I decided to eat meat; although for health reasons, I’m now on a limited diet.
Jennie is a bit of an imposing hypocrite. She’s upset about animals and will only eat those that are killed in a certain way and to her liking; yet she has animal products. Animals which are farmed and killed brutally for their hides, skins and fur. That’s at odds.
There’s nothing wrong with being vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian; but just like you expecting others to accommodate your needs and wants, then you should be prepared accommodate your guests theirs. Without the, and I quote, “They’re wrong. I’m right” attitude.

I worked with a girl that was a "vegetarian".. I seen her several times eating chicken fingers and fries for lunch at work. So I asked her if she was one of those vegetarians that eat fish? She said no meat, dairy... practically everything on the food chart...Naturally, this baffled me as I seen her eat meat, mac n cheese🤣🤣🤣... she tried to convert me..
It will never cease to amaze me when people cry and carry on about not having any meat in one single meal. I'm an omnivore myself but if I was eating at a vegetarian or vegan's house, it wouldn't even occur to me to think they might add a piece of chicken to my dinner. You'd think she was asking them to go without meat for the rest of the year.
Brent should really have won, Brent and Manon were the only sincere ones. The rest I would have kicked straight out of my house. Disgusting, back stabbing, pathetic.. my 3 year old nephew has better manners than them

Manon initiated a conversation which not only alienated her guest (Andrew) but allowed her other guests (Tracie) to rudely judge and make inappropriate comments. Not good.

Olivia Mulgrew there is a difference between vegan and vegetarian. Yogurt is acceptable to vegetarians but not to vegans.

As a Canadian the whole group in this episode was hard to watch but then as a Canadian myself this WHOLE series is hard to watch. So much nasty, small minded rudeness..I think I am done with CDWMC. But thanks for the uploads! Back to British TV for me.

Really interesting to see how this show is played differently in Canada....for example, the contestants are far more involved in sabotaging their rivals nights than in the British show. Is that a Canadian thing? I haven't only seen it in this episode

I disagree that wild caught fish is better then farm raised fish, there is not enough evidence to support that either one is better than the other. they both have there pros and cons. Now if you are going out there and catching your own fish with a fishing rod, that's a bit different in my opinion.

The vegetarian night she should have added like warm goats cheese to her starter or falafel and her main course could have done with some home made nann bread or chapatis. She could have done a sagg paneer as a side with her main. She also didn't make enough and over cooked the veg. When you don't have meat you really need to up your game. I mean most Indians are vegetarian so if she did some research she could have came up with a much better main.
The only one I liked out of this lot was Brent and maybe Manon

At about 11:45 minutes in that tv in the background with receiver Omgoodness that has to be 40 years old. It does fit Mano’s personality, she doesn’t even know how to cook on a bbq.
