This song is my childhood. Back then I lived in magic and it was so real. Life was a romantic story and every moment was the turning point full of emotion and mystery. Somewhere along the way after trauma after trauma after trauma I lost the magic. I stopped believing and life became cynical. Though magic finds its moments to pour back into my life and overwhelmingly fills me with hope and aching nostalgia of the past. I yearn for meaning and purpose. Passion and inspiration come and go without any foreseeable patterns. I cry at a moments notice of seeing something pure and true no matter how fleeting. So for those wondering why this song speaks to me, touches me the way it does, I found the most beautiful woman I have seen in my life. And while others would surely agree that she's beautiful, I feel like I have seen thousands of diamonds. Different, but each of them beautiful. Until I saw her. She's beyond beautiful. She is radiant. She is the feeling of seeing the first sunlight glistening on fresh snow. Everytime I see her or hear her voice, I am enchanted. Breathless. But, she's living in a different world. And this song expresses this feeling. It's like looking into the sky, seeing the stars and realizing for the first time, they are forever beyond your reach.

When I listen to this music, I start thinking about my ex-girlfriend and our past relationship, and it brings back a wave of sadness. My mood takes a downturn. I reflect on the days when we were together, recalling her face and her soft hands. We spent around 4.5 years together, but we broke up because she began seeing me in a negative light. She seemed to always want to find the worst in whatever I did. We still chat occasionally, she's good and me also. Life is moving forward for both of us. I believe she knows I still have feelings for her, but neither of us seems willing to revisit the past, perhaps because that period was challenging for both of us. However, this music reminds me of her, and I can't deny that I still love her. :(
