Where did the money go? Corruption

The primary change needed here is linked to reshifting the "homeless identity,'' as housing is just a basic need, not a driving force personality need. Historically, the identity of "city settlers" drove many Americans to leave home and resettle, but has since been socially deconstructed and 'unhoused' in America, despite once pioneering California's thriving livelihood.

Don't lie, even if they didn't spend that 17 million on the bike lanes, it would not go to the homeless either. Might as well provide something for the taxpayers like bike lanes than let that money just disappear.

    "Permanent Supporting housing".
There's a lot to unpack on the wording there, but I doubt they got anywhere close to that amount backing them up.

People forget that a lot of homeless rather stay that way because they don’t want sobriety smh. And you can’t force them to want to become sober and stay sober. Matter of fact ask the Governor what is he doing with all the empty prisons now? It would cost less to repair those and use some for sobriety shelter and some for those who don’t want sobriety.

It's actually surprising that the City of San Diego allowed 20 tons of trash to amass and never bothered to clean it up long before it got to that level. Maybe it's because California has the governor it has. Austin also allowed very big homeless camps to grow underneath a freeways like this but cleaned them up (at least getting rid of trash and waste) every now and then when the pressure was applied from the state. I guess no pressure from the state in this case. Poor San Diego. I'm glad got to enjoy the 60s, 70s, and 80s here when the quality of life was sky high but the cost of housing wasn't. Every city in the US is slated for this and all the big cities already are or worse.

First thing I knew to do was stay far away from the other homeless. I do not think that the current solution of figuratively pushing the homeless into the sea is a winner.

So what do his blessings have anything to do with it?
Doesn’t change that each individual human wakes up with the ability to make good choices.
If you give up due to the severity of your challenges and then are mad at the world dont expect anything to change.
If you are overwhelmed by your challenges, seek help, make every good decision you can, expect things to get better. Usually they do. Obviously some things we cannot control but 90% of peoples problems are self inflicted.
Those who are really seeking truth and wisdom know this.
