- Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (and many other faiths) believe that Jesus Christ will reign personally on the Earth for a thousand years after His Second Coming. We call this time the Millennium. In this episode, Dave explains what the Millennium will be like, and more importantly, why it’s part of the plan and what people will be doing during that time. Not a member, but this church helped me with my self harm. Forever grateful ❤️💖
Why do you not join .I have found that it is the neatest church on earth .the church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints has not paid ministers in there congregations. Members of the church has opportunities to get up and preach .cool .
hurrah
Papal secretary: "Your Holiness, I have good news and bad news".
Pope: "What's the good news?"
Papal secretary: "Jesus has returned to Earth and is on the phone!"
Pope: "Praise God! What's the bad news?"
Papal secretary: "He's calling from Salt Lake City."
LOL🤣🤣
Not to ruin the joke, but in this hypothetical situation made for this joke, I think Missouri would fit better, since that's where he's going to return. I don't think the church headquarters are going to be in Salt Lake at that time.
That’s time very few good people in the Salt Lake City,
While being an ordinance worker in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, I was a proxy for a sealing of a man to his wife. I suddenly felt that he was angry that I was doing his sealing. I thought in my head, “you do not have to accept it, but I’m doing it anyway.” That was the only time I felt that type of anger in the temple. Every other time I felt love and appreciation for my work.
22 seconds in and this is iconic
What is iconic about God our Heavenly Father loving all his children. The essence or purposes of life is growth and to become and to overcome. A baby can grow up and become an adult we can grow up and become like our Heavenly parents. These processes are learning and growth for the calisstecticks of growth and development to be more like our Heavenly parents.

Can't wait for this to happen!
We as JWs also believe in what you call the millennium.
In fact many JWs have been focused on it for many decades now and I don’t recall a time in which they haven’t thought that it’s close.
But of course they don’t know Only God himself knows. Apparently even Jesus doesn’t know the day or hour according to the bible.
But like you said in another video, the moral fabric of today’s society do fulfill prophecy about the kind of moral fabric that we could expect to find in the “last days”
The only question is how long do those last days go on for?
Nobody knows for certain but it’s good to be on the lookout and in expectation since most people have no insight into the times we live in but we do
2:53 "That's not fair," Johnny Depp-"Shut it!" so good haha
I have a question. I’ve (obviously, since I’m commenting here) heard about your Gospel and beliefs. But I don’t believe in everything that you do. I’m a practicing Muslim. Although I certainly respect you and your faith, and love learning about it. So, let’s suppose I make it to the Millennium. Will I get a chance to change my mind about what I’ve believed in this life? I ask because if Jesus or God were to show up, change the whole planet, and tell me I’ve been wrong, of course I’d listen! I really would. I don’t believe that this will happen (sorry!) but if it were to, I’d let go of my preconceived ideas. Considering that, would I and people like me get a chance to convert and become one of the Saints, make covenants, and so forth? Thank you in advance for an answer 😊
Abi Pereira just my personal opinion not doctrine, I think it won’t be that easy to just “switch over”. It’s not the right way of thinking to say to yourself, “well I’ll just see if this all comes true and happens”. I suggest you simplify things and just start with the Book of Mormon. If that’s true everything else starts to fall in place like Joseph is a prophet...etc.
Like what was mentioned at 1:30 God recognizes all of His childrens' efforts to be good and righteous. It is also an important part of His plan that we are different, with different circumstances and perceptions, so why would anyone be punished for that? People who havn't previously accepted Christianity probably wont be some of the firsts to be resurrected, but that doesnt mean they won't have equal opportunity for glory and joy.
Abi Pereira The short answer is yes! We know that all people who live or have lived on Earth will have an opportunity to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ and come unto Him. Like said in the video, the purpose of the Millenium will be to “save souls”, or simply put, bring people unto Christ. I believe that applies to people who have died but also people who are still living during the 1,000 years. I admire your respect for our religion and what seems like a strong desire to do the right thing and follow God. I also have a lot of respect for your religion and think it is so interesting to learn about! I do agree with some of the things said by the other responders to your comment-why wait until then to explore the option that this doctrine is true? God and Christ have already come before and “changed the world”. 😊 But i also totally respect your commitment to your own faith. If you have any further questions or just want to discuss religion in a respectful environment-which I love to do-I would be so glad to do that with you! Have a great day!
Abi, great question! Thanks for the comment. If you were living on earth during the catastrophes leading up to the 2nd Coming of Christ and the Millennium, and if you survived and were living during the Millennium, then yes, I believe you'd totally have the opportunity to adjust your belief system. There will still be missionary efforts going on during the Millennium, teachings people about Christ. I suppose the people living during this time will be extra-lucky because Christ will be personally reigning on earth. That said, we still believe other religions and denominations will exist during the Millennium, even though everyone who survived into that time will be righteous people (there are righteous Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, etc).
If you die before the Millennium starts, your opportunity to accept the gospel will come from missionary efforts in the Spirit World. If you accept the gospel there, then you'd need to wait for mortals on earth to complete your ordinances in a temple before being resurrected, etc. But there also might be a difference between the teaching of people who never had the opportunity to learn the gospel, and those who did have the opportunity but rejected it. If you have your chance to accept the gospel in this life, but reject it, I'm not sure what that conversion opportunity will look like in the Spirit World. I would assume the missionaries there prioritize those who never had the opportunity to learn the gospel. Idk. Moral of the story: I'd suggest doing everything you possibly can in this life to determine whether or not this gospel is true. That said, I totally respect where you're coming from and can gladly say that even if you totally reject our faith in this life and the next, we don't believe you're going to suffer in an eternal Hell. So that's nice haha.
David Snell Wait, you guys believe that people outside of your faith can be righteous, too? How do you guys define righteous? That’s really interesting to me! Likewise, most of us Muslims believe that, too, but I didn’t realize that you guys did.
Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed reply. It was very informative and cleared up my confusion. I tend to forget that you guys don’t believe in a Hell in the same way that most of the rest of us in the Abrahamic faiths do.
To everyone else who replied, thank you all as well.
I honestly don’t believe in the Church doctrines that differ from those of my own faith, and resultantly I can’t see myself converting. I feel rooted where I am. Having said that, as I said earlier I always strive to stay open to God’s guidance, and I practice the faith that I do specifically because I’m making my best effort to please and worship Him. If, in the next life, I were to realize that my firm convictions in this life were wrong, I would be shocked, but I would change insofar as possible. I hope that makes sense. It’s hard to put big theological concepts into words.
Thank you all for your patience and sincerity with me. 💜

Sounds like fun
Can people who go to spirit prison and then accept Christ in the afterlife make it to the celestial kingdom?
Spirits are being granted the opportunity to accept Christ and be baptized, therefore receiving a remission of their sins. If they choose to accept the ordinances being done on their behalf, God's grace is sufficient to redeem them and give them access to His presence.
However, each person will be judged on their own works and the desires of their hearts, and there is more of a process to conversion/repentance, even in the afterlife, than just accepting an ordinance.
So, yes.
Jenny Whatserface yeah mostly
I was watching the Halloween episode and I have a question:What is the Mormons’ view on ouija boards?

There is also a really bad Kris Kristofferson move called Millennium
Uh oh, copyrighted music!
Wow!!!!
Is there any chance the Millenium has already started, at least in some? The reason I think this is a very reasonable question is that Messiah did not come as expected the first time, so maybe the next time will also be way different than expected. Perhaps the Millenium is not a whole world experience but rather many individual experiences for people who receive the fullness of Christ in them and therefore are transitioned and get to live 1000 years or so. I'm not asking to stir controversy, but hoping to spark some serious thought.
That is an interesting take on the matter. However the scriptures do mention Christ "coming in glory" (forgive me for not having the reference off the top of my head), so I assume it will be a notable event.
Yes like he said. He is suppose to come so that no one can question who he is. It will be an event where we will know and acknowledge who is and from then there would be no way to say you don’t know who he is.
It is not wise to try and misinterpret the word of god my friend
I've always wondered whether all Saints will be resurrected during the millennium, or only a selected few.. As far as I can tell JS said “It is understood that resurrected beings will reside on the earth as visitors...." "Christ and the resurrected Saints will reign.. " Which is actually quite vague.. Is there anything more specific out there, or is it a wait and see situation? I know quite a few people who believe it's all Saints, but I question that premise from the info we have (or that I've found in any case...). Anyone got thoughts on the matter?
Cranky Pantaloons any saint that lived faithful to their commandments and ordinances will rise in the dawn of the first resurrection. They will be first before other good people who choose not to accept the ordinances as well as Saints who weren’t valiant in their faith. After that, then the wicked who chose not to repent will rise right before the judgement day.
ONLY IF U R BORN AGAIN U BE THERE
So those who are living during the millennium still get to be with those who have died, and are resurrected?
Make another millennium video but with less goofy edits, more like a movie effects… ✌️
What will happen to the city of Zion? are they coming back during the millennium or after the millennium?
any reference? thank you.
btw, thank for this

The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom!
Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21
Matt 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Why do you say agency instead of choice?
Where do get your explanation of agency?
Agency is the freedom to choose. It is a right for everyone.
Everybody knows when Christ will return; he will come "in the near future". He's been coming "in the near future" for 2000-plus yrs, and 2000 yrs from now, he will still be coming "in the near future"!!
In the end, you said that you didn't know whether the battle will be physical or a war of 'words'. Remember that there isn't a big difference between spiritual and physical. The spirits of Satan will never gain physical bodies. In that sense, it will be spiritual. Even more, Satan doesn't want us to die but instead, he wants us to rebel against God. that sure makes me think that this war will mostly be a spiritual battle to corrupt as many celestial beings as possible over to his side. I call them celestial beings because it is only the sons of perdition that can eternal side with Satan and the Sons of perdition already have their calling and election to be saved in the celestial kingdom. They are such because despite what they have earned they turn from in rebellion in exchange for nothing.
Yeah I'm leaning towards the 'spiritual battle' interpretation as well. Guess we'll find out one day!
What does it mean to "be exalted"?

Still confused... why doesn’t the church teach any of this? It’s all confusing and shouldn’t be self-taught.
It’s all throughout the scriptures. Read the book of revelation and the doctrine and covenants for most of this. 🤷♀️
The church does teach this
This blog should have something that identifies it as being Mormon.
I do not believe this.
I think his s a wrong vision of the reign of Christ.
I do believe Jesus Christ is reigning now. The millenium is now.
This is so wrong! Read your bible properly instead deceiving people please
Let's talk about the holy bible. I have never read anywhere in the holy bible where Christ Himself did any writing except for in the sand. So who wrote the holy bible true prophets disciples of Christ..Christ was the only begotten of our Heavenly Father .we are children of real Heavenly parents. If not so why call Him Heavenly Father. Also I say Heavenly parents because women and men both keep their babies after resurrection. Why come to earth get a body if we can not keep it after resurrection. What do you think of life .I know that the essence or purposes of life is growth and to become and to overcome. Think about it when we die and between death and resurrection if we are a slave to anything like drugs alcohol or anything. God is love so some of the suffering some people go through befor death helps sanctify them and prepares them to live without their body .I hate suffering but Gods grace and love is there rather we want it or not. This is one of the reasons that God said obedience is better than sacrifice..we learn by experience but meny times it is better to be responsible and obedient than to suffer because we would not listen to Gods true living prophets and apostles to the growing up processes of true adulthood parenthood Fatherhood..remember that the essence or purposes of life is growth and to become and to overcome. We all have a need to grow up and become more like our Heavenly parents. I know that this is true .
What us wrong about knowing that Jesus is Lord. What is wrong about this info .explain to me help me understand..k
No, I will endure in my faith to the bitter end, even unto death I will not deny my heavenly father
No, you cannot believe in Jesus after you die and get saved, because it will be too late. Now is the time to get saved.
You have most of this wrong
The 1000 year reign already happened. Look into the the world fairs and all the Tartarian architecture. Satan has been already loosed and Gog and Magog is causing havoc upon the earth
