Don't put the generator indoors, turning it on will produce fumes that will end your character. Leave it outside, but against the wall. You'lll have to repair it occasionally but that's also a good way to farm skills. You also can't use it without a 'how to use generators' manual. The tv has a channel called 'life and living', it's on at 6am, 12, and 6pm. It's a great way to passively get skills such as Carpentry, Farming, Fishing, Foraging, and Cooking. Really good, like, you'll level up a skill in two sittings, sometimes one. Books give you a passive boost on your skills for 2 levels. Mechanics 1 for instance, will mean you get more exp from mechanics related stuff for the level 1 and 2. Because of the tv channel, I often seek out Carpentry Vol. 1, Foraging, Fishing, Farming, and Cooking, first. Keep an eye on your moodlets, getting tired, exhausted, or over-encumbered can end a run incredibly easily. When you find radios, look for a station on them called 'Automated Emergency Broadcast'. It'll let you know the weather, when power is going out, and if the helicopter is coming. At your level, the Helicopter Event is deadly. But avoidable if you remain indoors the whole time. (It attracts zombies to the sound, if the helicopter sees you, it'll hover over your location for ages and the zombies will flood to you. If it doesn't see you, it goes much quicker. Stock up on water and food, eat fresh food first. And most importantly, don't get overconfident. That'll take you out so much faster than anything else.
This is the BASICS?? I have a lot to learn lol. Thank you for all the great information, especially about moving my generator, it’s in my bedroom and I would’ve killed myself lol
@@dogboooties no problem dood. I made a comment before but I guess it could got removed or whatever. I would recommend you to put weapon outline on any in the settings. Makes the game a little abit easier
