Pro Tip:For those of you who want to gain more GP in Tempest Water Way (finding yourself running short anyway) , you can jump off the little waterfall platforms in the beginning, really easy to get the X rank on them, and two out of the three can give you 2/3 of your bar back.
Fun Fact for the Gigan Rocks track. If you use the Gravity Dive and do a dash blast thing off of one of the things near the Jump you get an automatic X rank trick.

They may handle awkwardly, but that's because they are designed to emphasise the wheel mechanic instead of using the gravity turn (in a sharp turn, you are expected to jump, and hold the button while turning to grind along the ground and shoot off again at a great speed. The game doesn't do a great job at telling you this, but it's something you learn over time).
To simplify things how about we say the reason the Master Emerald keeps changing sizes when Knuckles holds it is because as the guardian of the Master Emerald he has the power to interact with it in more ways than anyone else just like Tikal

When Clement was talking about Crunch being a horribly controlled racer, I thought he was talking about Crunch Bandicoot. Which is funny because in Crash Nitro Kart, Crunch had horrible handling as well. So I guess that means if your name is Crunch, you're automatically a bad driver.

The major difference between the Mook Robots and the Leader Robot is that the Leader robot is capable of flight... and isn't a power character. Other than that... who knew that Eggman was a Level 20 Trickster.
The theory makes sense since in Riders universe, everyone's way slower on foot unless with a special power-up... just like 2006 and Sonic can't directly fight robots... just like how he can't use the super sonic spin attack on robots in 2006... aunno, I could see STH and Riders universe being the same.

I really think the writers for this game initially thought the races were linear rather than lap-based. But they found out way too late in the process. Wouldn't be the first time Sonic Team rushed a game...

We still have Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Black Night, Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games, a possible Look At of Sega All Stars Tennis, Sonic Free Riders, and Sonic's move-set in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, then Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing, and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 (Not exactly in that order maybe). Then it's Sonic Colors.
14:55-15:20 Is that? Was that!? Dr. Ivo Eggman Robotnik's Egg mobile model from the first Sonic Adventure game!? It is or at least its gotta be, because I played that old gem dozens of time throughout my childhood and life. It even moves like it did in Sonic Adventures as well as the model's texture choice make it stand out when seen Robotnik's riding it and the Egg Mobile is flying away from the Babylon Rogues' ship like when Tails and Amy were escaping the Egg Carrier that was "losing altitude" at the time in SA1 with everything in that scene being proper CGI except for Amy and Tails. Actually, SCR-HD is a Fly Type despite being a wheel. I've tried taking power shortcuts with it, but it crashed. SCR-GP can take power shortcuts as it is a Power Type, but you're right about it having the worst control in the game.

The only beef I have with Zero Gravity's soundtrack (I have the soundtrack, but not the game) is the heavy orchestral-ness. I kind of liked the more electronic songs from the original game because they felt like they had more variety between tracks -- every song being based on a different set of sounds. I do like the overdriven TB-303s though.

Sonic Riders may have a premise that's backward from Sonic's concept, but the story's the best I've ever seen in a Sonic game.

Well in SA2 Sonic is consumed with chaos energy so teleporting was possible as Sonic has the ability to copy abilities like tail's spindash
