As a Vietnamese there's something unfortunate that you need to know. After some independent investigation I uncovered where the vietnam factory for nintendo was, the factory is called hosiden #6 owned by the korean subsidiary of hosiden the major assembler for Nintendo switch, it was built in september 2019 located in the Quang Chau industrial zone of the Bac Giang province in North Vietnam. Here's the unfortunate part, a few days ago a category 3 typhoon called yagi wrecked through asia including southern china, philippines and most importantly north vietnam. After the storm, came flooding by the red river being filled up and many dam being broken let to the submerging of many provinces in north vietnam including Bac Giang. This could mean that if the machinery used for switch assembly and manufacturing weren't destroyed during the storm then they are very well under water now not even counting the people who can't go to work because of the flood. In conclusion, there may very well be an internal delay for the switch 2 as supply of it could be affected by this event.
@@Cae_the_Kitsune My choice. I think the video was fine and the response was very good but a tiny number of people took against it. And under the circumstances, if even 1% of people find it upsetting, that's not really what I want for the channel.
My prediction is a new Mario Kart and Metroid Prime 4 at launch. Both play completely differently, appeal to different audiences (casual for Mario Kart hardcore for Metroid) and would be the perfect double whammy to appeal to everyone at launch
I thought this for a long time too, but with rumours on the rise about Switch 2 having a very strong third-party lineup at launch I don't really think they'll need to rely on Prime 4 to hit that demographic for day one. Like Forecast said, I think an EPD4 system showcase title seems a better fit here.
i dont think prime 4 is going to be a launch title its way to niche they need casual and well known games for launch things like mario kart or 3d donkey kong or a new 3d mario or a new pokemon game like legends ZA games etc etc
I didn't know there hasn't been a single launch day Mario Kart. I always thought Super Circuit and 64 were, but it turns out they were a smidge afterwards. What's good is that any game could arguably be a launch game if they wanted it to be, as Super Mario Odyssey started development in 2013 before the Switch hardware was even finalized.
Very mixed on the possibility of MP4 at launch. On the one hand, I think Metroid is on the cusp of really blowing up and becoming a lot more popular, and having it be the day-one game could be just what the series needs to push it that little bit further. However, I think a big trend at least in terms of Nintendo's competitors is that this generation feels like a half step - most games on the current generation of consoles are still cross-gen, giving little reason to buy the new consoles for most people. This would definitely be something Nintendo is aware of right now, and although this practice worked with the Wii and the Switch, I imagine they would be wary to kick off their new system with a cross-platform title like MP4. The edge the Wii and Switch had was that their predecessors weren't as popular and so there wasn't really a fear of the GameCube release of Twilight Princess or the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild over shadowing the new version. The switch, however, is very very popular and as such there's a much higher chance that a cross-platform launch game diminishes the initial success of the new system.
Metroid is not "on the cusp" of blowing up. The trailer barely had over a million views. Plus the trailer was so bad, it looked just like any Metroid prime gameplay wise with nothing improved(other than graphics) from previous titles. Will it build on old titles and add new things? Of course but none of that was even hinted at during the trailer. It will unfortunately be a huge flop
@@HoboWithAShotgun I'll agree that maybe "blowing up" is a bit of an overstatement but you can't deny that the series has the strongest momentum right now than it has had for maybe more than a decade. The series was practically on hiatus for the first half of the 2010s, and with the release of Other M and Federation Force things looked really quite dire. But starting with Samus Returns in 2017 the series has been steadily growing, and I think that's really clear to see in both the critical reception and sales data of Dread and Prime Remastered. I'm not saying Metroid will ever reach the heights of Mario and Zelda sales-wise, but with interest in the series steadily rising I think there is an undeniable opportunity to reach a larger player-base than the series has ever seen before with a new AAA 3D Metroid on Nintendo's new system.
I think that Metroid is one of those franchises that had a LOUD fanbase on the Internet that makes it seem like it is a possible console seller that sells like 10-15 million but simply the general public that is not on the Internet that buys Mario Kart just because it is Mario Kart, they are simply not interested in Metroid when it has a unique theme/tone that is far removed from the Nintendo familiar perception that Mario and Zelda always convey. Perhaps even to many casuals Metroid is a strange Third Party franchise idk.
I think it's highly likely that Nintendo will be banking on 3D Mario to be its big system seller. it's been ages since we got a new 3d Mario so it seems like the perfect time to use it for a huge boost in sales. As for Prime 4 and Pokemon ZA, I think both titles could be cross-gen just to bolster its roster of games. This along with a test demo title something like 1 to 2 switch would make for a good line up of games.
Man, how historic it would be if it finally happens since Super Mario 64, that a new 3D Mario title is launched day one on a Nintendo console celebrating Mario's 40th Anniversary with the first fully Open World game of the franchise (it will still be a historic event even if it is not a fully open world game).
the mario kart shop window effect by making it “Mario Kart: Nintendo All-Stars!!” is genius for three reasons: 1.) where do you innovate on mario kart at this point? where do you go? what new spin does nintendo have to justify a whole new entry? the answer: Nintendo Kart 2.) as stated in the video it will be a living, breathing advert for other Nintendo franchises, imagine a player who only cares about mario and zelda and kirby seeing a metroid track and suddenly thinking “maybe i should try prime 4…” or a hardcore gamer (because everyone plays mario kart) seeing a kirby track that shows off something from kirby’s late game cosmic horror stuff and suddenly having interest in the franchise, maybe they’ll check out forgotten land now! 3.) it allows the opportunity for nintendo to have a crossover franchise that doesnt overly utilize third parties like smash does now, theres room for both a video game crossover and a nintendo exclusive crossover on the switch and switch 2 imo, and with the switch 2 likely being backwards compatible i find a new smash coming soon unlikely (with the exception of a melee remastered or something like that), a new smash will likely lower the roster and feel lesser to ultimate, and it will kinda cannibalize itself if ultimate is available on it’s same console, so yeah, Nintendo Kart will give us our crossover fun (especially if each nintendo all star has their own unique abilities and plays a little differently like in smash, even if they just have unique items like in double dash) without having to do something with smash after ultimate already perfected that series for many and will likely still be available on switch 2 and a bonus fourth point: i think a Nintendo Kart crossover game should have the following: -unique abilities and items for each franchise character -unique tracks for each franchise that really utilize and show off elements and gimmicks from those franchises -a story mode/mission mode that allows for deeper single player play, and that switches up which character you play with regularly so everyone gets time to shine, something like Subspace Emissary mixed with Diddy Kong Racing
A crossover Mario Kart game is something I've thought about a lot, giving the kind of graphical fidelity those games usually have to franchises other than just Mario would work great for the brand. Also, I'm still a little salty that Splatoon in the Mario Kart 8 DLC only got a battle mode map, lol.
I completely refuse this idea. I'm part of the "Keep the Mario in Mario Kart" camp. HOWEVER, where I'll nuance my point is that, as a Sonic and Sega AllStars Racing fan, I'm actually really on par with the idea of a Nintendo kart. I just think it shouldn't replace Mario Kart. Here me out : 1st, Have a Mario Kart at launch : an _easy_ racing game appealing to every audience, easy to pick up and play. Next, at let's say the mid life point of the console, have a Nintendo Kart : A harder racing game, with more complex mechanics, a different gameplay feel, and of course, franchises you would usually see in Smash Bros. And I actually have a good reasoning for this : We know that the Next Smash game will likely act as a "semi-reboot" since the head developer will likely not be Mr. Sakurai anymore. Therefore, considering this new way of working for the smash team may slow down the development process of the next smash game, having another, lighter crossover game to fill that potential gap would be a good idea. And assuming it does not contain major 3rd party characters, this would truly be a "Nintendo Kart". All of this to say : Keep the Mario in Mario Kart.
@@cutecharacterpower i think you’re right! the thing is, this is what im suggesting: because Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the Booster Course Pack DLC is that (relatively) Mario only simple Mario Kart on Switch 2 (assuming it is backwards compatible as rumors suggest)
@@cutecharacterpower It's not like they'd need to remove the mario aspects of the game, they'd just add on stuff from other Nintendo franchises. And that gimmick doesn't have to stick around for the whole franchise, it can just be a one-time thing.
Animal Crossing deserves strong consideration since NH was such a huge success on the switch and was responsible for a lot of console sales on its own. I don’t think it’s normally a launch title, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo makes it one this time to help give the new system a good head start.
I honestly think Pokémon Legends could be the BotW. A cross-gen single-player campaign with epic scopes. We didn’t get a Pokémon in 2023 or 2024, so they’ve had a lot more time to go crazy on this, there’s mass appeal, and it’ll likely be extremely well received by fans. Then drop new Mario Kart a month later.
I would love this, but there’s no way the Pokemon Company can make a game in the same league as BOTW even if they had 10 years development, I just hope it retains the Arceus catching mechanic I loved that so much
@@chrisbarnes3660 honestly I believe they absolutely can make a game close to the caliber of BotW. Arceus is a fantastic game, but it also is a fantastic foundation. If they locked tf in (interactive objects in overworld, more battles, deeper story, voice acting, more Pokémon behaviors, some form of online interaction, etc.), I think it could be a truly phenomenal title. Now, will they actually do that?? Probably not, but if it’s even half that, it’ll still be a freaking banger launch game
@@jacksonlovesnintendo I agree it is a fantastic foundation but I’m afraid they’re going to bin off most of what made it good and try a completely new mechanic (as they almost always do). Some work, some don’t but they usually spend so much time sorting whatever the new thing is they don’t put enough resource into developing the building blocks of the game, like all of your examples. I hope you’re right I really do but Game Freak are years behind the curve in developing big 3D games and they aren’t gonna catch up anytime soon
@@chrisbarnes3660 Agreed, I think Pokemon Legends will only ever reach that level if Nintendo themselves decide to get directly involved in supporting its development (which they really should considering the IP's importance)
Great video! I’d have to guess a new 3D Mario will be the launch title with the next mariokart installment right around the corner and as well as cross gen legends Z-A and possible deluxe up ressed versions of 2024 switch releases (e.g echoes of wisdom)
I was planning to do a Switch 2 focused one in the next couple of weeks although if Nintendo does in fact reveal the thing this week I may have to adjust plans!
My prediction. Nintendo absolutely wants to spread out games throughout the year, so even if something like Mario kart is ready right now they would probably wait on it to keep momentum going. Considering this, it is easy to consider the idea of Nintendo’s own offerings to be only 1 or 2 at launch. However, I think Nintendo wants to be more aggressive with their launch. They need to get their initial install base as big as possible. Therefore, I have come up with 4 launch games I think we will get and my reasons why. 1. 3D Mario - As pointed out, there is a huge precedent for major mainline marios to be launch games. They are consistent high sellers and typically showcase what the console can do. With a console rumored to be as powerful as a ps4 pro people are going to want a massive adventure to go on to make use of that new power. And especially to be wowed by it in handheld mode. 2. Casual showcase game - Even if there isn’t any major new innovations with the console, I think it is still the good idea to have some form of causal party appeal for a game at launch. What game it would be I don’t know. It could easily be a new ip or something like a revisioned Nintendogs like you said. 3. Breath of the Wild - Definitive Edition - Breath of the wild is a Wii U game. As such, it could see massive improvements when built for PS4 pro level console and their indeed rumors of such a showcase with their apparently being a tech demo of Breath of the wild that showed zero load times. Now it was a tech demo, but there is an argument of turning it into a real game at launch to showcase to the more causal consumer the advantages of the new hardware, especially in comparison to what Sony tried to do with the PS5 pro. Then there is the fact it would be a definitive edition. Those who missed out on both the Wii U and Switch can immediately jump into a complete package of the dlc. 4. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond: I think we are almost at the same wavelength here. The decision to make Metriod Prime 4 a cross gen launch title would be an out of the box style of thinking move. It is not a decision to make Metroid Prime 4 to sell 20 million units but a decision to help everything around it. Metroid Prime 4 I think would be a title that reassures the audience that Nintendo is thinking of the hardcore crowd. The hardcore audience is important as the initial install base to be the hype men of the console. We see this with the fact Nintendo has ended directs with games like Thousand Year door and even the topic of discussion Metroid Prime 4. Even if these games don’t go on sell the same amount as other games the fans going out to express their joy is helpful to Nintendo. I think Nintendo knows how excited people would get if they saw Metroid Prime 4 was a cross gen launch title. There is another matter, which is that Mario has some holes. The most important being the perception of being a kids game. No matter how epic of an adventure Mario’s new title would be, there is going to be a sizeable amount of people who swear off it immediately because “it is for kids.” Metroid, I think, provides the much needed experience these kinds of people would want. And then of course yes. It is still an opportunity to bring up Metroid as a franchise. But now there is an elephant in the room. Could third parties and backwards compatiblity not make up the difference with everything I’ve said? Couldn’t they launch with 3d Mario and Elden ring and call it a day? Elden ring would be impressive, but it definitely will have compromises made to it for a switch version. As such, I think it is imperative to have Nintendo made games to really push the hardware since they know everything about their systems from inside and out. I think it would be exciting for people to have 60fps Breath of the Wild and Metroid Prime 4 at launch. Anyway, that is my thoughts. Obviously there is so much not known internally about Nintendo so I can never claim to know what they are thinking and planning but those are what I suspect at least.
One idea I have for Nintendo for the Switch successor is to balance between pre established IP and New IPs. Nintendo tends to create new IPs and the sucessor of the Switch might have new IPs but also bring importance to the classic IPs such as Star Fox, Wario Land and many others. Also, ARMS could get a sequel on the successor of the Switch. So I accept a balance between pre existing IPs and New IPs on Switch 2.
Considering the financial success of The Super Mario Bros Movie, and the deal with Illumination meaning there's more coming, I can see the stars getting special treatment. Off the bat, a new 3D Mario and Luigi’s Mansion 4 will either be launch titles or released early on into the new console's lifespan.
Not sure about LM4. They need to keep something big back and it's not yet 3 years since NLG's Mario Strikers. I expect LM4 to be a very large and lavish affair, especially if they want to announce a film version off the back of it.
@nintendoforecast A Luigi movie is definitely on the way. It's all in the psychology. February 2022 saw Charlie Day expressing an interest in Luigi’s Mansion after watching his son play it. Fast forward to March 2023 and not only is Day completely in favour of a Luigi movie but Chris Pratt hypothesised a "Nintendo Cinematic Universe" and specifically mentioned Luigi’s Mansion. Every actor who was cast signed a document which stipulated their obligation to star in a series of sequels and spinoffs based on the Mario franchise. They're only talking about potential movies to avoid violating their contracts. Luigi’s Mansion 4 is inevitable. The franchise is now one of Nintendo's most profitable. Making a new game to coincide with a Luigi movie is a win-win scenario.
@@dannypalin9583 I agree that LM4 is inevitable but I don't think Nintendo cares whether it coincides with a movie or not, I mean, everyone assumed that Nintendo would release a video game based on the first movie and it didn't happen and games like Mario Wonder didn't come out if not until long after the first film was removed from theaters.
I can see a new 3D Mario launching the system then FREE DLC release near September to celebrate his 40th anniversary. Metroid Prime 4 will have to have something significant to separate it from the Switch version, so I think that's less likely. One idea that came to me while watching is Monolith Software's next game has been in development for quite a while. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 came out within the first year of release of the Switch. So in a perfect world it would launch the system with Dragon Quest XII: the Flames of Fate to get the JRPG crowd early.
i see prime 4 being a launch title as an opportunity, not just to recoup the tens of millions of dollars they've spent on development and turn metroid into a bigger franchise, but to attract non-nintendo gamers. seeing a mature, complex title will draw the type of player who may have become disillusioned with their playstation or xbox throughout this generation. a game like that, 8 years' worth of content they missed on the switch, likely the 3rd party games they're used to such as madden and call of duty, and comparable graphical features like ray tracing, 4k, and high frame rates, to top it off with handheld capabilities and a competitive price, it could be a slam dunk. just add on a game such as nintendogs to appeal to a wider demographic (while not overshadowing metroid), and follow this all up with mario kart about 8 weeks later. there are other reasons i would release prime 4 at this time if i were nintendo. this won't be like the early days of switch where titles were scarce and every new game had quite the spotlight shone on it. switch 2's library is going to be bursting at the seams, so releasing metroid later on in the year could mean it gets drowned out, and it's certainly not holiday season material with 3d mario on the horizon. it also wouldn't be wise to release the game in quarter 1, because if it's cross-gen, the excitement for both versions would be deflated
I don't know, Metroid has held a holiday season spot a few times before - Prime 1&2, Other M, Dread. I don't think they'll wait until October but I don't think it would struggle there. Great thoughts though. I'd love to imagine that Prime would invite over some Microsoft/Sony folk.
@@nintendoforecast maybe "drowned out" is a bit exaggerative, yes. it would do fine near the holidays. but nintendo's ambitions for samus go beyond just another game to fill a slot in, say, september. i think they want it to earn its place on the nintendo website home page as one of their tentpole blockbuster franchises, and potentially accompany pokémon or mario in a holiday season one day, akin to luigi's mansion. treat it like a big deal until it is
It’s worth keeping in mind regarding Legends Z-A, it’s potentially not releasing until Summer or Fall 2025. People have noted Pokemon Company have announced TCG packs for the first half of 2025, and nothing is related to Z-A. And with that in mind, and how The Pokemon Company considered Legends Arceus a mainline entry, it’s pretty reasonable to assume Legends Z-A could be leveraged as next year’s November title, which gives them extra time to let Gen 10 cook and get polished for 2026. And it makes sense. Make use of new Generation titles like Gen 10, DLC in place of a third version, maybe a remake, and now the Legends branch of the main series, and you can extend the time between games without needing to stop all the merch- because you effectively extended the deadline by introducing Legends. Now, I’m no predicting man, much less a forecasting one, but I’d put it at a decent 50 percent chance this is true and that Legends Z-A is the only mainline entry for 2025.
Mario 3d and Metroid as launch titles, Pokémon ZA, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing to keep the drumbeat of hits in the first year. Animal Crossing did sell many, many consoles on its own.
I'm thinking dual release of a "blue ocean" game (Tomodachi Life?) and a "hardcore" game, probably the next big 3D Mario. Followed shortly by Metroid Prime 4, the next Mario Kart and ports for big games like Elden Ring and Resident Evil 4.
something of note for pokemon is that there was No august pokemon presents, when there usually has always been one. i think thats a very big sign that pokemon is changing their release and work schedules to be longer i fully agree legends z-a could be the "splatoon 2" slot of the switch 2! and i personally feel like gen 10 will be 2026
i agree that AC sells huge but i can see it being another TTOK situation, where there’s less people playing the game because they believe it’s exactly the same as the first one. depends on marketing obviously but even if the AC sequel is vastly different i think people are just gonna see “AC” in the title and make their assumptions (again, TTOK).
I suspect they'll save this for the launch window of their Lite equivalent. Even Nintendo would struggle with the one island per console thing if the consoles are top price.
I'm really hoping this is why they've washed their hands of ACNH... because the next one is around the corner, and they've put all their energy into it.
I think we get a 3D Mario game at launch, then Mario Kart 10 in the fall. Metroid P4 and next Pokemon will be cross-gen, and act as showcases for the differences in the systems
I really hope we get Mario Kart within the first year, but I also really hope it’s not called ‘Mario Kart X’. Hard to describe why, but I just don’t like that name.
I think it will stick to Mario character as a priority instead of replacing it with a crossover racing game. Besides, even if tour is technically a mainline game, calling it mario kart 9 or not using any number all together can stop it from the Wii U situation.
“X” as a name / suffix had already lost a lot of its oomph over the decades, but I think the Twitter/X takeover and renaming was the final nail in the coffin. Ick by association is a strong motivator for avoiding it these days I think.
Mario kart: eXtreme. The main gimmick will be crazy tricks and tracks. Like MkWii but taken to a next level. It’ll have a vibe similar to the Strikers games.
Two issues with your Pokémon analysis... 1. As I said in the comments of another video, Game Freak & The Pokémon Company are almost never at the forefront of new hardware (Gen 2 being the outlier). If anything, they opt to wait until the new system builds up more of an install base before dedicating resources towards it. As such, it's more likely for Legends Z-A to be a Switch 1-only title that's still playable on Switch 2 via backwards compatibility. Unless Nintendo actively pushes Game Freak & TPC to go cross-gen, I don't think they'll go for it. 2. TPC's multi-pronged approach to the Pokémon brand is exactly why I don't think PLZA is launching until Late 2025, partially because the trading card game doesn't have any kind of PLZA tie-in planned for the first half of 2025. For context, Legends Arceus had a TCG tie-in a month after its release.
I'd like to note that they've only ever announced four games over a year before release, and they were all new generations that made more sense to build extended anticipation for. Even if the game got delayed due to feedback, the early announcement shows they likely still knew it would release in the first half of the year.
That’s true tho things could be different this time as now it’s one unified system. The difference with BW2 or USUM is that they are basically sequels or similar games to where gamefreak didn’t want to alienate the previous audience by forcing them to upgrade. Legends Z-A however, is completely disconnected and if pokemon does not have another game next year, it will likely be the holiday title (unless they will follow Arceus strategy and launch window substitutes for holiday). Of course since it is automatically Backward compatible there might be less incentive to create a next-gen version but I think the reason why we haven’t gotten new Z-A bits and won’t till pokemon day is because of its release date. It likely was only announced this year because then they wouldnt have any new game info to share since while TCG pocket will be decently big, it’s not really something that tickles the hardcore and even casual audience. Tho if I had to bet on it they’ll just allow it to be playable and automatically upscale on the Switch successor
I feel that you are not putting nearly the effort into research for these vids as you did in the beginning which really set this channel apart and are now mostly but not entirely giving just your own hopes and opinions with some really baseline research to back it up. i expected this video to include at least have a look at what each internal dev has been working or potentially been working on to get a better look at what the real possibilities for the launch titles.
Sorry you feel that way but the truth is I've always had a balance of deep-dive and outside-perspective videos as fits the topic. In this case, I've already deep-dived EPD 9, EPD 5, EPD 10 and we know what Retro and EPD 8 are going to be working on so the question is less what can they do and more the psychology of which titles fit the launch slot and that's what this video focuses on. I do have a video more like the one you describe for the launch year coming up, plus some massive and very research-intensive videos coming up - one I'm finishing up right now is a 50+-minute survey of every studio currently developing for Nintendo. There are also some lighter, quicker videos - the one today will be one such video - just because they're a palate cleanser for me and hopefully for the audience.
I predict that Nintendo will release sequels to Wii games like Wii Play, Wii Party, and Wii Music as launch titles. The reason I say this is because back when the Wii was launched a launch title for it was Wii Sports and Nintendo released a sequel on the switch called Nintendo Switch Sports. So I think it would be great if Nintendo gave us sequels to those other Wii games as launch titles for the Switch Successor
Who would have developed a potential new 2D Metroid for Switch 2? Mercury Steam severed their partnership with Nintendo so that they could make like some fantasy RPG game right
In 2017 and 2021, MS released an independent project and a Metroid in the same year. Enric Álvarez is directing their new Project Iron and he was in a management rather than a creative role on the Metroids. All things are possible but I'd strongly expect a new MS Metroid to be in the works.
MercurySteam has been confirmed to have multiple projects in development. Dread was also their most successful game critically and commercially, so they'd be fools to drop the Metroid IP and their Nintendo partnership
Obviously a Mario and Metroid 4. Obviously big third parties (Elden Ring...). But the other big AAA first party game will be an old IP : DK, StarFox, f-zero (my bet is on an open world DK). We know it can’t be a Zelda*. It’s very unlikely MK or Smash will get a new game because these game are already so massive that new entries will look lame in comparison. So we’re left with something that will be a big surprise. *there’s a non-zero chance that we might get a new entry in the BOTW world... A game starring Zelda in the past of Hyrule. Could they have been running 2 games in parallel for all these years ? Highly unlikely... but fun thought experiment.
My predictions: Aside from a new Mario Kart and Metroid Prime 4, there would also be an action-oriented platformer featuring Geno as the protagonist. His role on Star Road may be analogous to Mario's role in the Mushroom Kingdom, as well as get the same treatment as a Snufkin.
I think Prime 4 is a real candidate for a launch title because the Metroid franchise is steadily growing in sales numbers and the Switch 2 launch is a perfect opportunity to grow the franchise even more and get more eyes on it. Nintendo is likely thinking about ways to increase the appeal of their more niche IP for movie adaptations.
My predition: MP4 will be the cross-gen launch title, plus some casual "showcase" game ala wii sports and 1-2-switch, plus enhanced versions of many switch games (backwards compatible, think BOTW and TOTK running at 60fps while also looking better than ever), mario kart 8 will be the first post-launch release a few weeks later and a new 3D mario will be the big holiday title for 2026
i would love to hear a forecast about a Super Metroid remake/remaster/enhanced port Among all of the SNES's big 1st party games, this one oddly stands out as one thye never chose to re-release with some improvements. Mario, DK and Zelda all got their games into the GBA, and even Super Mario Kart was lowkey remade into a side mode of Super Circuit. The complex control scheme explains why SM didn't come to the Game Boys, but from the DS forward.... weird that they didn't try pushing it, imo.
I think I very briefly touched on it here: ruclips.net/video/WzjZVTHReFE/видео.html My hunch though is that MS will stick to new Metroids for a while and it's unlikely to be worth their while doing ports in between (except perhaps Samus Returns). I agree it would be awesome.
I think a launch slate of Nintendogs, Metroid Prime 4, and a Mario game (Kart or 3D) would appeal to as wide a swath of the Nintendo fanbase as possible, giving most everyone who owned the first Switch a good reason to buy the second.
While I do thinl Mario Kart is the most likely, I don’t think it’s gonna be Nintendo Kart like most people want and hope. I do expect to see some more other Nintendo Characters but I feel it won’t go beyond EPD/In house titles so no Kirby, no Fire Emblem, and no Pokemon.
With how much hype there has been for Switch 2, they could get away with just one launch title. I know I'm buying it as soon as it releases, and I doubt there will be any games I want for it that releases at the same time. But I'll be able to play all my Switch games on it so that's fine
Same year as Pokemon's 30th too. But I figure for Metroid it'll be more a game release, a few NSO icons and a section on the eshop. It's not going to be anything like the scale of other anniversaries.
I'd give Prime 4 a bit higher odds, though I feel there's pretty good odds that both it AND Mario Kart would release. Mario Kart would be the big name and high seller that appeals to everyone, and Prime 4 would be the big epic singleplayer game that properly builds hype and sells systems to the core fanbase (since I feel Mario Kart is more like a game that people buy when they already have a system, rather than one that sells systems). You raise a lot of good points though. Honestly, I just want Prime 4 sooner...
I think that Metroid prime 4, a casual game, and Mario kart/3d Mario will be the games they release with it. Whichever Mario games doesn’t release with the console will come out in October and Pokémon legends z-a in November. Mario will sell the switch 2, and the switch 2 will sell metroid. This is metroids one and only chance to become a huge franchise.
I believe Metroid Prime 4 and a few third-party titles will be sufficient for the new system's launch, along with enhanced versions of existing Switch games. The ability to upgrade these games, even if it costs around 10€, should appeal to many players. The new console will sell out simply because it’s a new system, so there’s no need for Nintendo to rush MK9 at launch. Instead, I expect MK9 to release within the first 2-3 months to further drive sales, followed by a major title like a 3D Mario game for the holiday season
@WERV2003 And that's not really the point a 3D platform will never beat a 3D adventure that has that Witcher, Elden Ring look. Odyssey was a part of the 1-2 punch of that year and is the highest selling 3D Mario game. Secondly 2D Mario will always leg to high sales. 2D games aren't held that high this generation.
Interesting you mention Nintendogs as I had a theory about that; if they wanted to bring it into the present why not utilise AR? Mario Kart home circuit did a pretty decent job bringing a game into your home (I loved it but don’t think it sold very well) and Pokemon Go uses AR to bring Pokemon into reality(ish) so why not do the same with Nintendogs/cats?
I agree, I think that would work well (and it fits with this patent from the other year: image-ppubs.uspto.gov/dirsearch-public/print/downloadPdf/11557103)
What happened to the latest video about possible manufacturing issues with the Switch successor due to floods happening in Vietnam and other countries? Was the video deleted?
No, it was my choice to take it down. To be clear, I stand by the video which I feel was factual and transparent in its sources and measured in its tone. The metrics were very strong in terms of likes ratio and so on. I think it's possible for people to both appreciate the scale of a tragedy and to want to figure out how this relates to their particular interests and passions. I think that's just human. Just as people talk about the pandemic effect on Animal Crossing or the impact of the war on Advance Wars, I feel it's a legitimate topic to discuss how natural disasters affect production realities, especially for a channel explicitly aimed at examining the under-the-surface considerations that impact how Nintendo operates. However, ultimately, I decided that I just didn't want this to be something the channel focused on. Partly because anything like this requires extreme care in every word and different people receive things in different ways and I could find no means of presenting the information that I felt wouldn't potentially upset people. Not saying it can't be done; just not sure I can do it and even the small risk of offence really isn't worth it for a topic, Nintendo, that's meant to be about joy. (It also became apparent to me that people were getting backlash from sharing it - backlash it must be said from people who I'm sure didn't watch the video and were responding to the topic, but I didn't really want to the channel in the middle of that). But ultimately I don't want my frothy Nintendo-focused hobby channel to become too distanced from the fun of the whole thing. I strive for objectivity but sometimes I think that reads to some people as coldness which is not the intention. I may return to the topic. I may even re-up the video. But, for now, I decided I don't really want it up. I'm sorry if you wanted to watch it.
@@nintendoforecast Your channel has intrigued me. You try to look for the bigger picture, even though it might look grim, it helps us learn what Nintendo has to deal with. Everyone else only talks about the things they want to see, because that’s easy. You are filling that niche of people who want to understand what is actually going on with Nintendo, even though some people don’t. When I watched that video, I felt sad. It didn’t feel good, but it felt important. It made me think just how hard it must be for the company to make sure everything works properly. It’s something that we don’t want to hear, but it’s something we need to know.
I predict Pokémon comes out later, but has a huge presence at launch regardless. Despite the debated quality of the more recent core games, no one can deny they've sold incredibly, INCREDIBLY well. There have also been limited edition switches for new Pokémon games coming out, notably the Sword and Shield Switch Lite which came out at the console launch months prior to the game launch. If the successor comes out before the holiday quarter, I'd expect there to be a limited edition Z-A console at launch at the same price as the base console. If the successor comes out in the holiday quarter though, it will be a limited edition console bundle at base price +$50, simply because it would be mutually beneficial for both Nintendo and TPCI.
If I were Nintendo I'd be releasing an updated Tears of the Kingdom with new DLC as part of the Switch 2 launch titles. As a relative newcomer to the Nintendo brand that is what would entice me to be a first day owner. But I'm probably not the target audience specifically for this, and I'm comfortable with that :)
You've mentioned the importance of Nintendo carrying their online subscribers foward into the next console before. Do you feel that may result in them pushing something online focused around the time of the new system's launch? Or would you expect that to only come closer to the 2025 holiday season?
Good question. I expect with Mario Kart and Splatoon they may not need to push NSO at launch. They may need something extra for Expansion Pak owners though.
I think we will see the new Mario game before launch but it will likely be the holiday title. Prime 4 and heavy third party support are likely for launch of Switch 2. I would also expect a new Mario Kart and a new Animal Crossing early in the Switch 2 life cycle.
I think you have Wii Sports in the wrong category. I would put it in the "System Showcase" titles. It just so happened to blow up into a cultural phenomenon. I would classify Twilight Princess as the Wii's intended system-selling game coming from a franchise with a strong pedigree.
i can’t see mario kart as a launch title since mario kart relies on an established install-base to get people playing online (3D Mario is my launch title guess). MK9 is likely to release the next month(s) after launch to push people who already own the console to get their online subscriptions
i feel like 3d mario is very likely since its been So long since odyssey, but i could also see animal crossing potentially being an early switch 2 game cause new horizons has been really left behind id also love for nintendo land 2 or arms 2 or the mysterious "iron18" fire emblem game to be early switch 2 games
I also think there’s more likelihood of Metroid being day one as a cross platform release with Switch 1-! And then there being an exclusive like Mario/Kart. Perhaps?!
If there were a new 3D donkey Kong game I would insta buy. It’s a dormant series right now, just remasters since tropical freeze on Wii U. A new game would turn heads
A blue ocean game is pretty likely, and my money is on a big 3D Mario being the headliner... but when you started talking about Mario Open World, I saw in my mind's eye the discourse that will come when some factor of old-school Mario will inevitably dissapear when open world Mario vones to be. It is so... so irritating in advance. Why have you cursed me with this insight. What did I ever do to you to deserve this?
I don't think metroid prime 4 beyond will be released on switch 2, because when metroid 4 was seen it specifically said it was for the current switch , but who really knows nintendos way of thinking.
MP4 is a niche title. Fans who would buy it are probably getting a launch day console anyway so I don't see the point in making it a launch title. I think there will be a Mario game and maybe wind waker
10% Metroid Prime Beyond on launch? Ooh spicey, that's bold! But yeah, we have a japanese foreign exchange student staying with us at the moment and though he is a gamer, there really is no appettite for the style of problem solving that metroid (dread or prime) employs. I suspect that's prevalent given my experience with others as well. Still... I'll be watching launch with that 10% in mind lol
I predict that we only get one big game on launch day, but that they feed out software once a month like they did in This last time. Maybe an A and B title (like BotW and 1,2 Switch/super Mario 64 and Pilot Wings) The days of launching a system with 3-5 excellent titles just makes less sense! Like the GameCube with Luigi’s Mansion, Pikmin, Rogue Leader, and Smash the next week. You gotta sustain the hype!
I can bet it's the new 3D Mario that is ready for launch, if not, i think Mario Kart is likely, but i think they will wait a consolidation of users base to launch it, MK8 deluxe was a different situation being in fact a enhanced port. MP4 i think will be a holiday 2025 title thinking about the restart of the project, and a DK project may be in the works considering the new part in the theme park, but i cannot say which developer will do it (maybe an internal EPD one, with Retro not available). Surely there will be some surprise, maybe a new IP that showcase the new gimmicks, or a relaunch of some other IPs like a remaster of Kid Icarus Uprising or a brand new F-Zero (would be my dream launch title for me). The rumored BOTW remastered i don't know if it will be a concrete project, but there's a great chance to rejuvenate a masterpiece with enhanced visuals and framerate, i could see it ad a interesting showcase. Some great third party ports i think are absolutely a necessity, games as Elden Ring, Persona 3 Reload/ReFantazio, and maybe some Capcom port with the RE titles or SF6 i think will be gorgeous to see in a proper portable console (not considering Steam Deck, Rog Ally and other PC configurations). With the next few weeks we'll sure see something, i'm very very excited for this launch, i think the price point will be $-€ 399 or 449, i think they will point to a 256 GB SSD and a cartridge slot to use also physical switch titles in retrocompatibility, i think it will use DLSS considering the rumors and i think the 4K upscale will be a no brainer.
If the Switch 2 is backward compatible with *Metroid Prime 4*, why would Nintendo release two versions of the game? Maybe a DLC would be enough to improve the visuals of the game in Switch 2.
I do not think they will do both 3D Mario and Kart in day one. One other hypothetical game that I could see being an early or not launch game, especially if they go with Mario Kart instead of 3D Mario is a sequel to Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
I do think you missed something that, while I'd probably pin at 10% chances, feels like it should be part of the conversation: Animal Crossing. Capable of getting 8 figures? Clearly. Even if we ignore New Horizons due to the pandemic, both New Leaf and Wild World sold over 10m. It will also have been 5 years since New Horizons and 3 since Splatoon 3, meaning the development team will have had a substantial amount of time to make the game. (I don't think it will be a launch title, but I do think it will be fairly early and it is a possibility of a launch title.) But, yeah, the only thing I'm disagreeing about the rest of the video is that it feels like Something Mario is a 90% chance rather than a 70% chance to me given how long it is since we saw 3d Mario, and if you pushed me to predict the nature of that 3d Mario, I'd probably go 90% 3d Mario; 10% Mario Kart.
Animal Crossing is an interesting one but I feel like it's so connected to their handheld-specific model. It would definitely be huge if they had it near launch and supported it for a substantial period.
The MK team was working on the expansion pass until last year. I don't think they've had enough time to build a new MK game for the system launch. As for Metroid Prime 4, that's confirmed to launch on Switch. There is no reason for Nintendo to release a separate SKU for this product when the Switch 2 will likely be able to play this through backwards compatibility. Instead, it will likely be just like the End of Life DS games and just be a good game for the previous system you can play on the new one. Okamiden and Ghost Trick both launched immediately before the 3DS launch and people could just treat them as pseudo 3DS launch titles. The same will be true for MP4. The only other possibility I see is the cart being a "dual" cart where it gets special benefits when inserted into the new system, like certain 3DS games like Majora's Mask got when inserted into a new 3DS. New 3D Mario would be great, and seems possible as a launch title as far as timelines are concerned. I don't, however, believe that open world would be a good move. Open world doesn't magically make everything better by forcing it into the formula. For a 3D platformer like Mario, I think it would be detrimental. The biggest issue with open world games is that they create these expansive maps that take too long to traverse. Because of this, many games, including Zelda, have fast travel to shorten the distance you have to travel. But Mario is a platformer, a game where movement *is* the hook. If your maps are so large that the player no longer wants to move and instead just wants to warp, then your platformer has gone off the rails. For 3D Mario, It would be better to just have more worlds to visit than to have them connected together.
The flawed part for MP4 being a switch 1 only is how people stopped buying switch games when we keep on seeing lower sale numbers across switch games in the past few years.
@@therealjaystone2344 Those numbers will go back up if the successor is confirmed to be backwards compatible as long as the games being released are games people want.
@@HotdogDivebomb I highly doubt consumers would go and buy the game for I predicted it won’t surpass dread with just switch 1 alone especially when casuals don’t care about late switch 1 titles
My prediction. No cross generation games at all between Switch 1 and 2. 2 will be backwards compatible, so cross generation will just be redundant and unnecessary.
1. New 3d Mario 2. New Mario kart 3.Metroid prime 4 4. Xenoblade chronicles X remaster I think this would be a good launch and system seller for launch day
As a Vietnamese there's something unfortunate that you need to know.
Thank you for this post - not something I was aware of but very worth looking into. I hope you and your family are keeping safe and well.

I doubt it. Metroid Prime isn't a system pusher, they'd be better to release it when there's a high install base.
i dont think prime 4 is going to be a launch title its way to niche they need casual and well known games for launch things like mario kart or 3d donkey kong or a new 3d mario or a new pokemon game like legends ZA games etc etc
Prime 4 needs to release on it's own. Not nearly a popular enough series to even be considered a launch title
Prime 4 wont be a launch title
@@HoboWithAShotgun MP4 graphics finally went from PS2 to PS3 level graphics
I think that Metroid is one of those franchises that had a LOUD fanbase on the Internet that makes it seem like it is a possible console seller that sells like 10-15 million but simply the general public that is not on the Internet that buys Mario Kart just because it is Mario Kart, they are simply not interested in Metroid when it has a unique theme/tone that is far removed from the Nintendo familiar perception that Mario and Zelda always convey.
Perhaps even to many casuals Metroid is a strange Third Party franchise idk.
@@WERV2003 Mario Kart is a simple gameplay which casuals want
Odyssey 2 here we go
the mario kart shop window effect by making it “Mario Kart: Nintendo All-Stars!!” is genius for three reasons:
1.) where do you innovate on mario kart at this point? where do you go? what new spin does nintendo have to justify a whole new entry? the answer: Nintendo Kart
2.) as stated in the video it will be a living, breathing advert for other Nintendo franchises, imagine a player who only cares about mario and zelda and kirby seeing a metroid track and suddenly thinking “maybe i should try prime 4…” or a hardcore gamer (because everyone plays mario kart) seeing a kirby track that shows off something from kirby’s late game cosmic horror stuff and suddenly having interest in the franchise, maybe they’ll check out forgotten land now!
3.) it allows the opportunity for nintendo to have a crossover franchise that doesnt overly utilize third parties like smash does now, theres room for both a video game crossover and a nintendo exclusive crossover on the switch and switch 2 imo, and with the switch 2 likely being backwards compatible i find a new smash coming soon unlikely (with the exception of a melee remastered or something like that), a new smash will likely lower the roster and feel lesser to ultimate, and it will kinda cannibalize itself if ultimate is available on it’s same console, so yeah, Nintendo Kart will give us our crossover fun (especially if each nintendo all star has their own unique abilities and plays a little differently like in smash, even if they just have unique items like in double dash) without having to do something with smash after ultimate already perfected that series for many and will likely still be available on switch 2
and a bonus fourth point: i think a Nintendo Kart crossover game should have the following:
-unique abilities and items for each franchise character
-unique tracks for each franchise that really utilize and show off elements and gimmicks from those franchises
-a story mode/mission mode that allows for deeper single player play, and that switches up which character you play with regularly so everyone gets time to shine, something like Subspace Emissary mixed with Diddy Kong Racing
If there’s a new MK this is indeed the only way they can make it stand out compared to MK8 deluxe
@@cutecharacterpower It's not like they'd need to remove the mario aspects of the game, they'd just add on stuff from other Nintendo franchises. And that gimmick doesn't have to stick around for the whole franchise, it can just be a one-time thing.
I can see Metroid Prime 4 being a Switch 2 launch title with a new 3-D super Mario game being the big November holiday release game.
Animal Crossing deserves strong consideration since NH was such a huge success on the switch and was responsible for a lot of console sales on its own. I don’t think it’s normally a launch title, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo makes it one this time to help give the new system a good head start.
Mario Kart 10 will be about creating your own tracks. Calling it now.
Mario Kart maker 🤔
I honestly think Pokémon Legends could be the BotW. A cross-gen single-player campaign with epic scopes. We didn’t get a Pokémon in 2023 or 2024, so they’ve had a lot more time to go crazy on this, there’s mass appeal, and it’ll likely be extremely well received by fans.
Then drop new Mario Kart a month later.
This would be so incredible and I would be so happy, but it makes too much sense so I don’t think it’ll happen. 😢
It will be purple and Mario maker 3 on launch
Great video! I’d have to guess a new 3D Mario will be the launch title with the next mariokart installment right around the corner and as well as cross gen legends Z-A and possible deluxe up ressed versions of 2024 switch releases (e.g echoes of wisdom)
I hope Donkey Kong arrives 🦍
I would like it if there was a poll/form to predict the launch year titles. I enjoyed participating in the last survey
BotW DE at launch is a very good shout. Hmm...
@@nintendoforecastCan you imagine how good LM4 would look on the Switch 2? or even a Remake of the first LM on Switch 2.
@@WERV2003The movie's not based on the game. But Nintendo would 100% capitalise on the hype.

Thanks!
DK & Mario Kart combo?
I was waiting for a video just like this!!!
You're right. Mario Odyssey 2 it is
something of note for pokemon is that there was No august pokemon presents, when there usually has always been one. i think thats a very big sign that pokemon is changing their release and work schedules to be longer
i fully agree legends z-a could be the "splatoon 2" slot of the switch 2! and i personally feel like gen 10 will be 2026
Metroid Prime 4 and Mario Maker 3 to show off the new dual screen features.
Put another way, if dual screens are the Switch 2’s feature I give Mario Maker 3 as the showcase day one title a high likelihood.
@@jordanfishMario maker 3 would be so cool
Gut tells me they wanna launch with a new animal crossing, last one printed money without even being a full game
i agree that AC sells huge but i can see it being another TTOK situation, where there’s less people playing the game because they believe it’s exactly the same as the first one. depends on marketing obviously but even if the AC sequel is vastly different i think people are just gonna see “AC” in the title and make their assumptions (again, TTOK).
I don't think it will be called Mario Kart 9 but Mario Kart X because the 9th title was intended for the Mario Kart tour
Mario kart: eXtreme. The main gimmick will be crazy tricks and tracks. Like MkWii but taken to a next level. It’ll have a vibe similar to the Strikers games.
@@Ageman20XX the iPhone X did successful, but I don’t think many people cares about continuity as Mario kart spans 20 - 25 years instead of just 10
Two issues with your Pokémon analysis...
I’m hooked on your videos keep up the good work 👍🏼
Thanks!
Super Mario Kingdom was the name that popped up in my head for the next Mario game also. 😀

@@nintendoforecast huh. Didn’t know about their other stuff. Here’s hoping the working conditions are better, whatever they’re working on
MercurySteam has been confirmed to have multiple projects in development.
My predition: MP4 will be the cross-gen launch title, plus some casual "showcase" game ala wii sports and 1-2-switch, plus enhanced versions of many switch games (backwards compatible, think BOTW and TOTK running at 60fps while also looking better than ever), mario kart 8 will be the first post-launch release a few weeks later and a new 3D mario will be the big holiday title for 2026
And what would you do for Mario's anniversary that will take place in 2025? Just Mario Kart?
i would love to hear a forecast about a Super Metroid remake/remaster/enhanced port
Among all of the SNES's big 1st party games, this one oddly stands out as one thye never chose to re-release with some improvements.
New Super Mario 3D or New Zelda 3D. Only this 2 games suitable as a Nintendo new launch console game
With how much hype there has been for Switch 2, they could get away with just one launch title. I know I'm buying it as soon as it releases, and I doubt there will be any games I want for it that releases at the same time. But I'll be able to play all my Switch games on it so that's fine
The Metroid anniversary is a bad prediction. Same year as Zelda. Between the two they always celebrate Zelda.
A new animal crossing at launch would be an instant sell for me
If Nintendo does launch Switch 2 with Mario Kart the only thing that will limit sales is the amount of stock they’ve built up to that point
Although a Mario kart game would be fun, I feel like it would be better for them to release a new 3d Mario game at launch.
Odyssey as a launch window titles is in 25 mil territory... I dont understand how thats not impact.
Zelda BotW sold more and won the Goty that year, obviously it was a bigger impact than Mario Odyssey.
The game that’s coming out with it is the new Mario game that’s gonna be open world
If they don’t launch with the next big 3D Mario game lots of people will be disappointed
As someone who's most played game on the Switch is Dark Souls, I really hope Elden Ring comes out on the next Nintendo console.
That isn’t rain you feel on your head from leakers and rumors.
Yes, that's a good point actually.
i can’t see mario kart as a launch title since mario kart relies on an established install-base to get people playing online (3D Mario is my launch title guess). MK9 is likely to release the next month(s) after launch to push people who already own the console to get their online subscriptions
I wonder how long before Mario Kart becomes Nintendo Kart, incorporating many of their IPs for characters/karts/tracks
i feel like 3d mario is very likely since its been So long since odyssey, but i could also see animal crossing potentially being an early switch 2 game cause new horizons has been really left behind
id also love for nintendo land 2 or arms 2 or the mysterious "iron18" fire emblem game to be early switch 2 games
I believe Metroid Prime 4 will be a duel release in the same manner BotW was for the Wii U/Switch.
Mario Oddyssey was released in 2017... maybe with a new Mario 3d?
I predict that we only get one big game on launch day, but that they feed out software once a month like they did in This last time.
Maybe an A and B title (like BotW and 1,2 Switch/super Mario 64 and Pilot Wings)
The days of launching a system with 3-5 excellent titles just makes less sense! Like the GameCube with Luigi’s Mansion, Pikmin, Rogue Leader, and Smash the next week. You gotta sustain the hype!
I always fought we'd get HD Remasters of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes and Metroid Prime 3 Corruption before Prime 4 cameout.
With the next few weeks we'll sure see something, i'm very very excited for this launch, i think the price point will be $-€ 399 or 449, i think they will point to a 256 GB SSD and a cartridge slot to use also physical switch titles in retrocompatibility, i think it will use DLSS considering the rumors and i think the 4K upscale will be a no brainer.
what if they use old games to pander long term fans, like launching with Gamecube games on NSO, as well as a mass market game like Mario?
Mario Kart X MUST be a launch title!
I think it's gonna be a 1st year title
@@bugrasevinc9696 i really want it to be a launch title but i agree its probably going to be released in the first year of the consonsoles life span
New Donkey Kong or Super Mario game imo. 90% likelihood
If the Switch 2 is backward compatible with *Metroid Prime 4*, why would Nintendo release two versions of the game? Maybe a DLC would be enough to improve the visuals of the game in Switch 2.
I'm going with the launch of a new 3d Mario and Metroid Prime 4 as launch games. Metroid will be cross gen. ( also a casual game like switch sports )
I do not think they will do both 3D Mario and Kart in day one.
One other hypothetical game that I could see being an early or not launch game, especially if they go with Mario Kart instead of 3D Mario is a sequel to Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Its a new 3D Mario... which is backwards compatible to the ogi Switch
I do think you missed something that, while I'd probably pin at 10% chances, feels like it should be part of the conversation:
Animal Crossing. (I don't think it will be a launch title, but I do think it will be fairly early and it is a possibility of a launch title.)
But, yeah, the only thing I'm disagreeing about the rest of the video is that it feels like Something Mario is a 90% chance rather than a 70% chance to me given how long it is since we saw 3d Mario, and if you pushed me to predict the nature of that 3d Mario, I'd probably go 90% 3d Mario; 10% Mario Kart.
Animal Crossing is an interesting one but I feel like it's so connected to their handheld-specific model. It would definitely be huge if they had it near launch and supported it for a substantial period.
I want Power Stone 3 :3
@@therealjaystone2344 Casuals don't care about Metroid. That point is moot.
0:12 "A Major Release or Three" Was... Was that a Xenoblade 2 reference? Or do I just have brainrot??
My prediction. No cross generation games at all between Switch 1 and 2. 2 will be backwards compatible, so cross generation will just be redundant and unnecessary.
Persona 3: Reloaded
Elden Ring
Final Fantasy VII: Remake
1. New 3d Mario
2. New Mario kart
3.Metroid prime 4
4. Xenoblade chronicles X remaster I think this would be a good launch and system seller for launch day
I'll buy the nintendo kart game ONLY if there's at least 5 fire emblem characters in it.
You seem to be thinking mario kart is not 3d mario.
