    Fine job thanks for sharing .
    You take beautiful photos ❤
    I have been shooting film since back in 1977 in 2022 i purchased my first digital camera.
    Every month i enjoy shooting the full moon.
    So much nicer than doing it with film / slides 😊and bracketing then waiting for development.
    Over the yrs i shot many many night scape so i had the program down.
    Having the ability to look at my night scapes pics at the shoot....to much enjoyment ❤

    Good timing! I’ve honestly never seen the moon as big as it is tonight in the UK. Just went out into my back garden and saw it rising over the old Victorian chimney tops and it’s HUGE. It doesn’t look real. Might take my camera out now before it gets too high.

    One tip is to try to coincide the sun setting and moon rising more or less at the same time so you have enough light for at least 20 mins. It is usually like the day before the full moon here in the Caribbean.

    Spell check lol. Full moon is tonight but the day before gives me better details. I put mine on IG. Tonight, it is darker and the moon is an orange glob? I am going to try to shoot tonight and incorporate something in the foreground. Fun stuff. Thanks for all the tips.

    Just saw this and it was excellent. I live in Pennsylvania, always try to photograph the moon within an Earth's Shadow.That is difficult enough but at 80% of the times I hope to do at on the day before full moon, it is cloudy. I see some many of those photos from the West and most times the photographers are not familiar with Earth's Shadows, Belt of Venus, etc. I visited NM in 2003, loved it and wished I lived there. We are birders and I just loved the Gila and of course Bosque del Apache. Stayed at what was Grey Feathers Lodge, enjoyed 100s of hummingbirds. Hoping you can do a shoot on hummingbirds during fall. Just loved it there. You could bird watching along a country highway, and the locals in white pickup trucks would slow down and wave. Not here; seldom a place along the roads to park and if you do, people are more likely to blow their horns at you. Great to see New Mexico. Please, sometime do a shoot of Acorn Woodpeckers!

      Hey thanks Kerry, I appreciate the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I definitely have quite a few birding and wildlife videos from around here, including in the Gila and up at BdA.

    Another great video! I have the same problem. I bird with my R5 and found it can be a lot of work to switch settings and lens if a beautiful landscape opportunity presents itself. I like to bracket my sunset landscape photos. I recently bought the Canon remote shutter BR-E1. It's worth the money if shooting with that 100-500mm at a slow shutter speed.

      @@sagetheowlfatfeathery2083 I used to do that but it's hit and miss with disconnections and the BR-E1 is always ready to go once past initial setup.

    I have a canon r6 mark 2. Still learning the camera I got in Dec. i just heard about focus stacking and wondered if taking the picture of the moon here and trying to get the cactus in image too, would focus stacking help in that situation? We’re heading out west soon and traveling to many National Parks. Really trying to get landscape/sunrise-sunset pics.

    Love the full moon on the horizon! Although I typically do moonset since the mountains on the front range of Colorado are to the west. I use Photographers Ephemeris to plan my moonshots. I was wondering what you use.

    • @BrentHall
      @BrentHall  2 года назад

      I use a few different things depending on the situation. TPE, Sun Surveyor, and sometimes Photo Pills, and a lot of Google earth and maps.

    I want to start photographing landscapes and specialize in lunar photos and maybe over time astrophotography which camera would be good to start with? thanks

    • @BrentHall
      @BrentHall  Год назад

      That's a tough question to answer. I think lenses are more important than camera bodies, especially theses days, when most cameras are pretty good. Getting the gear is obviously the first step, but learning how to process the images, especially for lunar and astrophotography is super important.
