Kill My Mind, We Made It and Don’t Let It Break Your Heart are a part of Louis’ trilogy of music videos. After watching all three music videos in this exact order you are mean to get a clear story.
This song makes me wanna go ride a motorcycle too! And yes he jumped of the cliff, his music videos are related. You should watch "we made it : directors cut" its 15 min long and its very interesting, you will understand everything!
This is part of a trilogy! First song/mv: Kill My Mind Second song/mv: We Made it Third song/mv: Don’t Let it Break Your Heart But if you want to understand the full story, with all three songs and extra scenes and talking in between, there’s the Director’s cut you can react to! Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/mdtglux863A/видео.html (The fandom has their own interpretations as to what it can possibly mean, but I’d love to hear what you think of it. You know at the end of the day, no one other than Louis himself knows the whole story and Louis’ mind works in ways I can’t imagine or understand. Just always know there’s a reason behind his songs and music videos, maybe in relation to his life but he explains it using other actors and, I guess, metaphors or whatever. No one really knows except for him, but there’s always something deeper)
Louis can do it all, but what I love most is that even on a total rocker like this one he’s still bringing the emotional intensity and exceptional vocal clarity. It’s a total banger, and live performance of it is amazing.
I'm loving his music but wanted to find out more about him. Didn't realize he was part of 1D! I remember when the band was formed. So needless to say I just went down a rabbit hole that was wild. The whole story from 1D to all of them finding their own voices. Louis is amazing and will be great when touring comes back, as all of them will be!
You mentioned when he jumped of the cliff, and in the music video Dont let it break your heart he does too, but he survives. I think it has to do about the same thing. You should react to that one!
According to him, his next album will be more like KMM, Walls, only the brave and copy of a copy. And I think you really should watch the director's cut. This song is part of a trilogy of music videos (we made it, don't let it break your heart and kmm) tells a whole story and give us somethings to think about, it's very interesting
Louis shows time and again he can write for any genre! As we all know his next album will sound more like Kill My Mind, Walls, Only the Brave, and Copy of a Copy of a Copy I am beyond excited for his next album!!!
I agree with you, that's exactly what I get from the song. It's incredible how he can be deep but also just have some fun. I said that a billion times, but I just love Louis so much.
Yes! What you say was exactly his intention with the song. He needed something more energetic and he wanted to make a sound statement with it that this is the kind of music he wants to do. His voice is just naturally punk/rock to me and I think this type of music fits him like a glove. Unless you are tired of his songs by now I recommend to check out his live stream concert. Hearing his album live with a more alt. rock-ish live band sound makes you see them in a different light and you really see it's his style. His roots are more indie rock than the modern music they put out these days. He did try to do songs like those in the beginning and wrote tons of songs but scrapped most of them and started over after he decided what direction he wanted to go. This song, Walls, Only for the brave and Copy is where he's trying to go. The Walls album is a transitional album. He wanted it to partly fit him but also partly fit his fans too. And his fans would be 1D fans. So there are definitely songs he put on the album just for that audience in mind and not perhaps because it was his first choice per se but still songs he could stand behind and felt were him. He's had a couple of difficult years and I think you hear it with how somber it turned out over all. But that's not who he wants to be. So. This song was important to put on the album. I'm not sure but I think he said this was the last song written and yet it came out first (after Two of us) as a single. That's how important it was sound wise. Thanks for the reaction!
I love this song so much, it just fits his voice so well. You're right, it is fun and energetic. I really love the red in the video, it also gives off the best vibe for this song. Louis is such a storyteller and seeing the visuals of his music video's is the best. I always look forward to seeing what he does next. I just know his second album is going to be amazing and if he does do any music video's (hopefully) they'd also tell a intresting story.
about what u said at the beginning, i dont think he said his next album is gonna be more upbeat necessarily but he’s said the sound will be more similar to Kill My Mind, Walls (the song), and Copy of a Copy of a Copy which im so happy about cause those are my favs!! he always said that his first album had some of his personal sound and some of what he thinks the fans were used to, so kind of a transition album while the next one will be more closer to the kind of music he wants to make. im so excited for it!! 💓
I think Ive said it before so sorry for repeating myself but... I would really, really love it of you reacted to his earlier songs as well to hear your thoughts on them. Perhaps after you've finished the album? There's only 4 of them. I think you'll find the sound is more pop-ish overall and 2 of them are collaborations so a very different feel to them. I think it shows that Louis could do more songs like that IF he wanted to. He just don't want to. His very first song "Just hold on", with Steve Aoki, was such a surprise as a first solo song from him. No one expected that genre from him. I think it's a great mix of Aoki's sound and Louis heartfelt lyrics. The message of the song is the same as "Don't let it break your heart". It came out just after Louis lost his mum making the lyrics even more poignant. And I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry watching his first performance of it. If you decide to react to this song I would love it if you compared it to Louis own live version of it where he had adapted it to fit in his tour sound. Best sound is from his London Live stream. His second song "Back to you", is the collab with Bebe Rexha. I think it's great. Straight pop and such a bop. Their voices fit very well together. And you get a glimpse of Louis beloved hometown and football field in the MV. (He has said it is NOT personal btw. Have to add that as he usually do write personal stuff, but not for this one.) Also think "Miss You" is a really great song and have a message that is similar to "Always You" in a way. Sound wise very different. The last song, "Just like you" was only released for the fans really and is not a real single. There's a great official lyrics video to it though. It's not a fav of mine. Just sound wise I don't feel it. Lyrically on the other hand it tells the truth of any celebrity that has had their name dragged by the media like Louis has experienced. So I still love it for the lyrics. An important message IMO.
So there are actully three music videos with a continuation story. Starting with Kill My Mind, then We Made It and Finally Don't Let It Break Your Heart. You should react/watch WMI and then DLIBYH to understand the story and also at the end of these music videos , you'll find the snippet of the upcoming song!!
Yeah and the MV is part 1 of 3. But the story in the MV is not related to the song. It works for this song because what’s really going on in the video is kept vague and works as a stand alone video as this was the first single. The other 2 MV parts are more connected and will be confusing on their own if you don’t see them all. It’s a cool idea and the director put them together like a 15min mini movie as well.
I’m sure people already told you but the video is the first part of a trilogy! The next two parts are (in order) “we made it” and “don’t let it break your heart” so you’ll understand the storyline better! The songs have nothing to do with each other, it’s just the videos, but I recommend you watch them in order

This is Louis favorite song 💙
I agree with your explanation ... ^_^
Btw., Louis' video is kinda a trilogy movie:
1. KILL MY MIND
2. DON'T LET IT BREAK YOUR HEART
3. WE MADE IT
I'm loving his music but wanted to find out more about him. Didn't realize he was part of 1D! I remember when the band was formed. So needless to say I just went down a rabbit hole that was wild. What a HUGE difference makes to sing a song that suits your voice. He want bad but here he shines. Well done “luv”

Not me coming back here for this after so long!..... He's killing his tour tour right now and I couldn't be more proud!😍😍💙💙

Louis really Kill my mind 💙
all of his music videos on this album are kind of like a story which i find really cool. they all tie into one another
He did a directors cut that includes 3 songs and Kill My Mind is included in that. The 3 videos tell a story.
