They can graze on the lettuce all day long! My goldfish also hand feed! I have many videos doing that as well lol. It's so fun!
I lightly steam my broccoli about two mins in micro until its breaks off easier. I use the clip and all mine go berserk for it. Great tip on the seaweed!

I read that peas are a laxative for Goldfish and should only be fed a few times per week sparingly, 2 peas at most, crushed up with the shell removed. They help with constipation.
I hand feed both my fish and I just started holding the food under the water between my thumb and finger, the fish were curious and came up to my hand for a bite... Sometimes they would, sometimes they wouldn`t in the beginning, but after time they just got used to it and suck my hand now looking for food when its in the tank doing maintenance. They associate my hand with food. It also depends on how much interaction you have with your fish. When they trust you more they will feed from your hand. Slow movements are best, so you don`t startle them...
I usually boil brocolli for 5 minutes because just blanching it or less than 5 mins it's still hard for my ranchu fries to chomp down. They all go nuts when they see it in their tank.

I have 3 orandas, 1 Ranchu, 1 red cap and 1 pearl scale goldfish. All except the pearl scale come to my hand and want to be petted and played with. 😉 I had to laugh about Butter digging up the plant, I don't think they like planted plants. My fish did the same thing after so much time planting them. I went to the Dollar store and bought 2 vases, added the live plants along with a bunch of artificial plants I already had. I put a rubber band around the bunch added some colored gems in the vase along with the plants! They don't bother them now. There are also videos on how to super glue plants onto driftwood rocks etc. I also used this method for one of my aquarium piece. I feed my fish, brine shrimp, freeze dried blood worms, healthy flakes, and granduals that have contain garlic. My first goldfish was a Ryukin and he was very friendly too, he loved to play and loved to be held!
One time I had a fish tank with 3 or 4 different kinds of fish. I got a new kind of fish food and fed it to them. Every one of them spit it out!! All of them hated it, so I had to return it for a refund. Got another brand and they loved it. Weird moment.😆 Yes, please do a hand feed training video!🤲😆

I have a betta fish, Zeke, who I think I could try hand feeding.. He seems me through his tank and comes to the top when hungry. I feed Zeke fish flake pieces that float, so it's kinda hard to hand feed those. But now that I've seen your video with Butter, I think I'll try it! Also, bought the book The Kind Diet and am loving eating organically non animal foods! I've lost about 6 lbs. so far and think I'll stick to this "kind" lifestyle. If you don't like having to replant everything at the end of the day, i suggest replacing your plants with either Java Fern or Anubias, since they are almost completely goldfish resistant.

I feed my goldfish cooked broccoli they find the raw kind too hard to eat... They don`t touch it raw, but gobble it down when its cooked. Does Butter have a friend? I hope so, they love the company of other fish. :) I also feed my fish pea-shoot salad, water cress and lettuce (I wash them well under a tap first to clean off any pesticides) which they enjoy, besides the variety of fish food made for goldfish that I also feed them.
I rescued a goldfish who was living alone in his tank, when my neighbor who owned the fish went to prison, it was left behind... I already had two goldfish. I put his tank next to theirs and he started going crazy and swam up to the end of his tank so he could be closer to my goldfish. I couldn`t believe my eyes... He was wiggling his butt and going nuts! As soon as I put him in the tank with my other fish, he instantly calmed down and they all kissed each other and acted like they had been friends forever. I didn`t realize goldfish were so social. This is why I ask please, if Butter doesn`t have a tank friend, please get her a friend... I have two goldfish left now. The other fancy goldfish I had developed swim bladder problems I couldn`t fix. The two I have left are inseparable and follow one another around the tank.
Goldfish WILL EAT PLANTS. Although, you could try and do anubias. Anubias shouldn’t be rooted though, the rhizome shouldn’t be planted in the substrate because it would eventually rot. Maybe you could tie or super glue the anubias to a piece of rock.
My didn’t have to train my fish to hand feed. After a while they associated me with food. If I put my finger in without food and will nibble my finger lol
I love butter! I have have 5 goldfish in QT from liveaquaria that has fish lice😭 very sad and upsetting but they seem to be doing well. Hopefully I will put them in my 65 gallon soon. Would love to see hand feeding video💛💛💛
I read that fish lice is from the water levels not being right... all fish have these in trace amounts naturally but when the water levels are not balanced the parasites thrive. Look up the Pond Guru on You tube, he discusses the water cycle of a tank and how to get the right balance of bacteria to support your fishes gut health which keeps them healthy. Also add water conditioner to the water in correct amounts during every water change as the chlorine in tap water is harmful to fish.
First goldfish don’t like plants for that reason. If you do plant I recommend anubias plants. They are strong and easy to grow and gold fish like them. Second I would definitely upgrade tank sizes…

The broccoli is likely to hard for her to eat. Try blanching it to make it softer for her to eat. Just a suggestion.
