Printing a simple document in Excel is a nightmare! Microsoft should do something to make life easier for us users.
Thank God we have this video. Thank you Kevin.
agreed!
This is one of those videos I wish I could have watched a long time ago. It would have saved me a lot of time looking these techniques up.
Hi Kevin, I print things from Excel all the time so I assumed I wouldn't learn anything but I actually learned a few very useful things, so thanks so much for that. Thanks again for always putting out stellar content!
You are more than a teacher sir!.
Not thanking you is just same as saying don't watch your videos, you deserve more than a "Thank you" sir.
I was looking for paper break skills for a long time! This tip really helps save me a ton of time!
👍
Solid help for beginners (and those of us who haven’t printed in years)!
It's so much harder than it looks. Thank you for a good video, Kevin.
Thank you! Exactly what I needed and so simple!
Thank you very much for this comprehensive video on excel.
Thank you for these tips. I knew a lot to format a page for printing, but this is way easier. I specially love the page layout button down below and the resetting of the page breaks
I just started watching your videos recently but find them very helpful. Only thing, I am a senior & you go a little fast for me 😀😀
Thanks for the feedback! Will adjust.
Pro Tip: Create a folder in your RUclips account under the SAVE header just for Kevin's video's (or maybe call it a Cookie Jar) You can then bookmark them and refer back to them later using play/pause/play/repeat until you're confident you understand the instructions. I have multiple folders on the various topics I'm interested in and that way I don't have to do a search to find the videos again.
Including the grid lines definitely helps making the sheet more readable for the end user. I also like shading some rows but clicking on the row number then home/format/format cells/fill and giving it a light shade of gray. This effect looks like tables in Word, with the added option that one can shade something other than every other row. Doing this for a couple page printout is often worth the effort, especially if the Excel sheet is inserted in a longer document going to press.
I can't express how grateful i am for this vid. Really helped me last minute with my college assignment. Thank you so much.
Excel is extremely user unfriendly...
Extremely!
Amen...
Best video on this topic
Outstanding presentation. Thank you Kevin!
Thank you trees for allowing Kev to make another great video!
Kevin !!! You are helping an old lady here , I thought I understood your directions , I guess I didn’t , I could not fix the situation, but I didn’t give up , and I did something and at the end I fix it!!! It was your gentle , fun and motivation way of teaching, that allowed me to persevere and I did it . I am a new subscriber, thank you for empowering me 💪🕊😀
Always informative 👍🏻
Thank You very much, Dear Mr. Kevin Stratvert!
In fact not many are so fluent with printing their tabulation jobs done thru Excel.
Me too!
That is until I grabbed hold of the hidden intricacies in Excel!
Your informative article video instructed me on more unknown nuances and intricacies.
Mastering MS Excel is indeed too a gigantic task!
And mastering MS Office wholly is even more gigantically gigantic!
Thank you very much once again!
Years ago, on my very first day, as the instructor of Computer Applications, before the students, I filled up columns upon columns and created a table. (Of course, carefully evading visits to the unknown corners in it!)
Formatted painstakingly every data in each cell and "Presto!"
"Control + P" and a stylish gesture and a "Hit "on the "Enter Key!"
Whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - - whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - - whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
The single table of a quarter of a page gobbled up the full ream of paper and blinked for more!
I forgot to "Set Print Area!"
Thanks for the video, good refresher! Straight to the points! Awesome
So packed with useful tips that I need to watch it again and save it for future refreshers - thank you!
yes, about 50 tips to get to a readable spreadsheet. How wonderful.
Best awaited series from you
Thanks man
Good video.
Awaiting next video on printing, covering other features in Page Setup menu.
"Scaling" in Page sub-menu to print text in large font without actually changing font size in the sheet.
"Black and White" and "Copy count" in
Print sub-menu in Sheet
Page set up and printing of a Workbook with different ranges of data with differently formatted and or similarly formatted Worksheets.
Bravo Kevin!!! 👋 Thank you 💓. Useful
Kevin! Aren't you getting some advising on how to catch the viewer's attention? You are soooo gooood! Good luck & God bless! I recommend your channel to all! Always!
I love your videos because I learn about computing and English at the same time
Rachel's English (channel on RUclips) is awesome for English. Well worth checking out.
@@KevinStratvert thanks!!
I've gotta rewatch this video a few times to get it 😖 I absolutely LOATHE Excel! Thanks for helping us Excel dummies....
Blown away, I never knew the inserting page break 😳. Even some time ago I struggled but today I am hilarious 😂
Great video Kevin. Thanks for pulling out this video.🤗
Helpful thanks
I feel like this topic is not something I need. Quite basic. But Kevin always has a tip that makes you go, "I did not know that!"
Thanks for all you do.👌

Nice and very complete tutorial!!
Wow ... this was soooo helpful. Thank you.
This is helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing tutorials!!!!so easy to follow thru
Dude thank you so much!! You rocked it in a 5 minute simple and easy to understand instructional video. I hate Excel. I rarely ever have to use it. I wanted to make a new chart today to print out and thought the biggest problem would be printing it in a way that fits correctly.
Thank you!! And yes thank the trees I love the trees, we hang out frequently, I talk And they listen. Then I shut up and I listen. 😂
I thaught I am good at Excel, but kevin makes things better and bigger than always.
White Chocolate Macadamia Nut column: Narrow the column and let the title flow to two lines (set that row height to fit). That will cause the print area to enlarge to fit the narrowed column(s), and coincidentally push more rows to page two. Also, page numbers are traditionally placed in the bottom header.
I was going to suggest the same thing about the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut column. That is a waste of space that would make the page easier to read if fixed.
Ah, missed that! Good call out 👍😅
super helpful ! thank you very much!
Helpful and On the point guide very nice👍
very clear and concise
Lovely. Thank you!
This video just save my job within just about 12mins I got what I wanted.

Splendid. ❤
Many thanks for sharing..
Thanks to the trees and you :)
good Kevin.
Great video
At work, I am known as the formatting guru. I used to have a strict boss who said no one is to ever send an unformatted document or spreadsheet to a customer or vendor. My biggest pet peeve is when someone sends a spreadsheet and selected border formatting across the entire spreadsheet, and it will print a lot of pages. So, I got used to reviewing print/formatting every document/spreadsheet. I would have lessened the width of the white chocolate column by wrapping the text and using ALT+Enter to drop text to another line within the cell, then narrow the column. When there are a lot of columns, landscape orientation will be needed. I sometimes use page setup, page, Fit To and add a number of pages. Then I go back to print preview and see how the page(s) looks. If there are multiple pages, I use the header/footer tab, go to the footer section, click on the drop down arrow and chose Page 1 of ?. This lets people know how many pages are in the worksheet. Sometimes spreadsheet formatting can be a challenge, but I enjoy it.
I won't say thank you Kevin. Rather I'd say loved this amazing vedio a lot. Keep it up! :)
Thanks 🌹 😍
Groot thanks you.
helpfull video!
I would like u to make a video of printing cad drawing A4 and A3 paper.

Who do you print a spreadsheet , from google sheet on mobile phone
Thank you sir Kevin for this tutorial! Learned so much...still need to watch more of past videos :) All the best sir.
More to come!
Hi Kavin
Thank You so much. I never get it right when I print the tablein Exel. Cheers
Thanks trees
I'm a silent subscriber but today I have a question. I made a duty roster on landscape orientation that spilled to a second page as there are more & larger columns than rows so I chose to fit the sheet in one page. However, I now have a new problem. Although the sheet is evenly placed from side to side as the margin allows, it is not evenly placed from top to bottom on the A4 size so the content is in the middle with too much blank space at the top and bottom. Please, how do I spread the content evenly across the page?
Great job Kevin. I must commend you. Your explanations are always very clear and easy to understand. You have no idea how much you have helped me with your videos. More power to your elbows. Thank you!
This video really help full.
If my small amount of data going to next page then want increase the font size and width of rows. To making read easy. But this not works fine. Suggest to how i do this.thanks
Yep, once again there are things I do in Excel the hard way because I'm mostly self taught. I never paid attention to the fact that the Display Settings where sitting at the bottom right. I use all those features, but go through the menu. I do love some shortcut keys though. I learned many of them 20+ years ago and they have been invaluable when re-designs happen and features get moved around.
Does anyone know if there is a fast/easy way to set default (preferred) margins in Excel without making a template with no content? I love narrow margins so I can maximize my work area and in Word it's super easy to click on the .5 all the way around. In Excel it's not that simple (or it is and I've just forgotten where it's hidden).
😮🥴 Thank you
is there a way to print a embedded exel table from an email in outlook??
thanks trees
😂
