- In this video I shape a little mouse lure on my little lathe. This is actually easier than you might think. With a little bit of carved detail it looks pretty mousey. I know the bass like it... #lurefishing #topwater #lurefishing

Ain't nothin' wrong with that guy no matter how many times he tried to jump and run off during clear coating. Looks and moves great! He's gonna be a big hit!
Thanks for reminding me... I was looking to buy a transparent black yesterday. When you pull out the Oil Discharge, you reminded me that I already have those Badger paints.
Despite the setbacks, you made a beautiful lure. That would work great for hunting Northern Pike. Another great video Franko. Oh, by the way the Lurh Jensen crankbait that I made did fantastic in the water. I can't wait to paint and clearcoat them.
Excellent...good luck with them.
Very nice Franco. Next one, use a fan brush to create a natural hair pattern. How I paint mine
Perfect timing with this video, I just got a lathe. I've caught some Decent bass on a mouse lure. That stinks when a lure comes off the spinner.
I've been modifying frogs to become mice for many years and love it. It was something a little different the fish hadn't seen.
Truly enjoy8ng your content - Thanks
Very cool!
@EngineeredAngler I lack your skills for hard baits. Inspired by Larry Dahlberg many years ago to make and mold my own soft plastics.
Watching you a may need to expand my horizons.
Great video and great looking mouse lure very nice action on it
Thanks 👍
I like the fishing segment you do at the end every once in a while. I got that ozark trail rod as well that your were catching those crappie on
Nice one, looks quite realistic and I like that you brought down the paint a bit lower on the belly on 2nd paint job, really makes it look like a real one.
Thanks
Great looking lure Frank. I am a big fan of top water and saw the hurdles you over come and kept your friendly damener.
Charles
Thanks 👍
Nice action on the mouse lure! And crappie for dinner!
You got that right!
Awesome job! It turned out really good despite all the setbacks. I’ve had those days I felt like throwing the whole mess in the garbage. 😂
I actually started over on the lathe then decided tough it out with the original.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video!!! Keep up the good work!!! God bless!!! Chuck Knight from Atascocita, Texas. ✝️🎣👨🌾🦌🙏
Thanks 👍
Nice one Franco, that tail was a nice touch too. Have you tried the other style of knife with the metal body and reversible blade? I find they are way easier to get a decent carving with. Guessing you have, but thought I'd ask just in case. Anyway, top work at always mate, appreciate the work, especially given the mishaps!
Yes...but I find these small knives can get into tighter spots, I like that I can extend the blade, and just pop off the end to start with a fresh point.
My God that looks DEADLY 🔥🔥❤️
Awesome action on that lure! I wonder if you concaved the nose a bit if it would push more water for more disturbance? Great job! May have to make one of thse!
That looks amazing! Nice action.
Thanks!
Great video as always.
Hello from Maine.
Hey, thanks!
Another great video. Looks great with nice action
Thanks 👍
That bass rat looks awesome!!! The two things I always wondered about was your light box and horse injector thing and what made you decide on them? Anyway I love the bass rat.
Turned out good
And so... the hunted becomes the HUNTER !!! 😏
I made something similar but used a worm hook on the back connected with a split ring for short strikes
Cool build Franco. I wish you would have done this 3 weeks ago as I just finished a mouse lure.
Wasn’t sure what I wanted to do so I made a popper instead of a crank. I had an issue about what to use for the tail so I put a hammered willow leaf just to attract attention while popping it. It now looks like a mouse with a beaver tail haha. Truly a Canadian made lure🤭.
Looking forward to the next vid! Take care from the white North. 🎣👍🏻🇨🇦
A beaver tailed mouse...maybe the have them on Australia 😄
@@EngineeredAngler platypus….? 🤭
I lack your skills but have been turning frogs into mice for 20 years.
You should do a paw paw wotta frog next
Love the lure. I'd call it an awesome possum instead of a mouse, great and inspiring nonetheless
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice!
Thanks!
Let's see u make the silicon mold box please. Great work by the way😊
Thanks for the idea!
Make a flounder lure. Or a other flatfish lure out of wood that swimms nice. Just if you looking for new engeneering challenge
👍👍👍👍👍
Franco..id say zonker strips for a tail & legs/ feet, if not shorten ur rubber tail by atleast 1.5"
Something will forsure eat that!! If not send it my way..they will kill it here!!
I think you called the crappie a “speckled perch” in your last video, or was that a different species?
Black perch, speckled perch or crappie I use them all interchangeably. Not sure its accurate
You should have kept it nood and put some Gray lines on it for details
I concidered that....maybe the next one
that mouse has a nose for bass
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that s^*t happens to.
I would like to buy, the floating gray/ white mouse. Let me know, how much they are. Thank you.
Fun
How much, to buy one?
😂👏🏻👏🏻
How much are you selling them for?
I'm not selling anything for now. Thank though
