  • Here are the top speeds I have reached with my Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 so far, when riding on racing tracks.
    As you can see, the bike is not a rocket when talking about high speed, but it has a pretty decent amount of torque that makes the top speed not so important on short straights.
    The Bike carry some modifications to improve the air flux, reduce the weight and to slightly modify the behaviour of the engine at low and high revs.
    - Extras: K&N Air Filter, Leovince Manifold, Booster Plug.
    Hope you like it!
    Let me know in the comments if you have seen a faster Svart 401!

    Great video! I'm thinking of converting my svart into a semi-track bike. I was looking into hardening the front suspension and upgrading the front brakes. Any tips on what else to change? Thank you!

      Thanks!
      I'm thinking the same about transforming my Svart too 😌.
      I just started going with the Svart to racing tracks a year ago but I must say it's difficult for an average guy like me to find the real limit of the bike on track, and actually you don't need to upgrade mostly nothing, because the power of the engine and the geometry of the bike are the real limits.
      I think the bike is so light, the only thing to change about the brakes are the pads. I changed them by the best brembos the calipers can mount. I have never overheated the stock front disc, so I think it's still not neccessary to put the wavy oye.
      On the other hand, as soon as I could I changed the position on the bike. I use the hardest rear shock setup and I pushed down the triple clamp as deep as the fork allowed me.
      I also changed the handle bar by the StreetFighter ABM with lower risers.
      Maybe I don't need to mention but the tires are not stock. Still knoby as they are the Pirelly MT60-RS, kind of over sized. Probably dont need the extra rubber butI feel safer with the 120 front and 160 rear.
      About hardening the suspensions, imo, if you have the last 401 version with the newer fork, go ahead, use the hardest setup. If you have the older version as me, you would need to spend like 500 euros in new for cartridges and springs, and I would say it's too much if you think about the real limit of the bike.
      I must say I think I'm pretty far of the bike limits in some many situations, so the preparation I'm thinking about is to transform the Svart into a little Hooligan bike with some addons I can use just in the track.
      Let me know what you think!

    Hey there! Is your bike bone stock or have you made any engine or performance improvements?

    • @rarroo
      @rarroo  4 месяца назад

      Hi! You have the mods on the description.
      Basically the purpose is to increase the air flux from the air filter, through the engine and exhaust.

  • @deepankar94

    Is this the new 2024 version or old? Is it modded or stock?

    • @rarroo
      @rarroo  6 месяцев назад +1

      This is 2019 version. The first model manufactured in Austria, slightly different.
      She has some mods to increase the air flux, basically a K&N air filter and a Leovince manifold. Exhaust is stock.
      One of the things really gives you more or less 10 km/h extra is the aerodinamics.
      I changed the handlebar by the lower ABM Streetfighter with the low raisers, and of course, wearing a racing leather suit really helps.

    • @rarroo
      @rarroo  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@deepankar94 I really like more the design of the model I have, but the concept of the new 2024 model would suit me better, as it is larger and I'm 180cm tall. Also most probably the engine will have more options to push it throug ECU and light mods.
      Looking forward to the 801 Svart presentation in about 3 weeks!

    how tall are you friend? I like the bike but I think it's small for me

    • @rarroo
      @rarroo  6 месяцев назад

      Hi. I'm 181 cm & 82 kg. The bike is compact indeed. It has very peculiar proportions. For example the seat is unusually tall and flat, and the distance between wheels is quite short. Also the fork caster is very short.
      I must say, currently, I love my Svart but I needed to adjust the geometry and some other things for what I need.
      For example I have the hardest setup on the rear shock. I also have lowered the triple clamp the max the fork allowed, and finally y lowered too the handlebars with the ABM streetfighter bar and low raisers.
      For me this is the best setup for my size and daily usage and also for trackdays. I must say though, going off road now is noticeably less comfortable, which is ok for me.

    • @Watson2108

      I‘m 1,87m and it fits perfectly. It indeed looks small when someone of my size sits on it but the seating position is literally perfect.

    Have you changed the gearing m8?on my 2022 svart 4th hits the limiter at 126 5th at 155.

    • @rarroo
      @rarroo  7 месяцев назад

      I don't. My Svart is 2018 but I think the gearing is exactly the same both years.
      In fact, I bought an ECU to get a little bit more power and extra revs, and I wanted to consolidate with smaller sproket on the rear wheel to get closer to 200 km/h.
      Maybe the sprokets are different between versions?

    • @konstantinoskourini

      @@rarroo could be the case but i know for sure that the pre 2020 models have more punch also! One last question m8...have you fitted the wider tyres on the stock wheels?did they make a difference

    • @rarroo
      @rarroo  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@konstantinoskourini Maybe. Also I have a Leovince decat manifold and the K&N air filter. This combo was a great difference for me.
      The Svart is wearing the Pirelli's MT60 RS 120/70-17 and 160/60-17, both on the stock rims, no legal problems.
      They are a big difference on how you feel the bike. Not so agile, but more stable. Not problem because the bike is very light. Some may say you don't need wider tyres but for me on the track I feel safer and I feel I can go faster.
      The tires are also lighter and muuuuch softer than the stock Scorpions, so much more suitable for asphalt, but they are not so durable. It's fine for me though.
      Thanks for your comments m8 :)
