if you battle depression the BEST thing ever is to wake up to is a clean kitchen and a picked up living room....I always fold any throws and fluff the couch pillows, just putting things away as I get ready to go to bed in the living room...having the dishes washed, and I hand wash mine, the best hint is to have a sturdy dish pan, just sitting in the sink, you can use just one for washing then just run water over to rinse....if I don't do the dishes, when I get up I feel blue right away....the one shrink I saw for depression told me the two fastest things that would lift my spirits would be to make my bed and wash my dishes....he said those two things are usually put on the back burner when depressed, but it is the easiest tasks to complete and make a real difference...I also know if my house is in disorder, like while I am doing a diy, I have trouble sleeping...when I can't sleep I change my sheets, tidy up my room and it brings freshness and order and helps my mind to calm.....

I used to have a sink that drained all your soapy water out too I used a dish pan then water stays The burner pans we used to put foil on them change it every few days. But at Walmart they sell enamel coated drip pans. They wash very easy. I really love your way of music and talk. I stayed home with my children it’s a busy job . When the folding clothes got to be too much. I bought hangers much easier. Just a little folding then. Easier carrying clothes from basement . Let me ask you where you get your beautiful tops you wear? Every one of them are nice. Praying you and your family find just the right homestead for you. Gardening is the way to go these days. I like the mix of you talking, the relaxing and calming music. Both of the dogs are adorable. Your boys seem to be loving, caring and helpful also. I have no doubt they are going to grow into wonderful men. I also really enjoy seeing the hubby, my husband died 6 years ago. So seeing you and your family makes a better day, for me. She knew what neighborhood but didn’t have an address but said she rolled down her window and quickly smelled PineSol and found our new home. Haha!

Couple of suggestions: caulk around your tub and shower wall. Mold will grow fast, even if you are going to tear it out later, keep the water at bay! Also…medium garbage bags in the bathroom waste cans. Tall bags waste bags! The can may be full…but the bag is not! Love your use of time! Very well planned out and you must have the cleanest house for 50 miles!!
I love washing dishes by hand, I find it soothing & lets my mind reflect on my day. By the way, I use a bathmat with the rubber backing to drain my dishes. I have 2 of them that can be thrown in the wash & I never throw them into the dry so they last a long time. I live in a mobile home too & am short on space. Hi Valerie. I really enjoy your vlogs. I wish you had them more often. A puece of advice. When you do the laundry check the dryer machine so you can take out the items that are dry and fold them. Fold tge clothes at the laundry mat so you don't have that task at home. A half hour more will save you time and anxiety. I always di my dishes as soon as we finish eating because a dirty pile of dishes will give me severe anxiety and depression. I also wash them as I cook. That also helps a lot. Also, involving the kids will be nice so they can feel productive and can alleviate your burden. I can't wait until your husband gets home and you guys continue the renovations.

Valerie, I’ve never had a dishwasher, I hand wash dishes about three times a day! I jokingly tell people we have a portable dishwasher! Me! I really enjoy zucchini bread it’s my favorite. When the garden starts bringing on zucchini, I start baking zucchini bread! I think your videos are awesome!
Valerie, I think you have the right amount of content to music. I love the way go about each task. I am not a fan of pine sol it reminds me of a day care setting. Memories of picking up my daughter from day care lol. I can not go to bed unless all dishes are clean but that’s just me. I do not have a dishwasher because I chose to have it removed and we added drawers but it’s only my husband and I and h does help occasionally lol. I get excited to see a new post from you. That may seem silly to you but I feel after 74 years I desert get excited about whatever I chose lol. Your landlord is a lucky lucky man to have you and your husband as renters. I love the view from the front porch it is beautiful. I must admit I am not sure I had the energy you have. I know you will be so glad to have your husband there with you. Love your videos, love how you get things done with a budget in mind. I used to leave my supper dishes till next morning, I like you challenged myself to do them right after supper. Took me about 2 weeks to stay on task . I really enjoy coming into the kitchen and not finding a sink full of dirty dishes. Get my coffee and head out to check out the morning. I usually so tired after working all day but it feels good to have a empty sink. Thanks for sharing all you do .
Hi Willow Berry (Valarie 😊), I identify with the floors. I painted my floors also. I did it because it was budget friendly. They are a challenge to mop, you are right, I definitely would polyurethane, if I had to do it again. I'm believing that God will provide for other flooring for me. I know you and hubby are planning to buy a house. Until you get your house and I get my floors let's pray for each other...and continue! In the meantime...Love your videos! With the rubber sink stoppers . I put a sink mat on top of each and they don't come off. Plus the mats protect your sink and holds the noise down. Also I just want to say your renovations have been wonderfully done! ❤️

You could paint the tub and showers white with epoxy tub paint kit. Takes 2 days to cure I believe, so if you decide to do it, I'd do one at a time. The place is looking so good. Very impressed with all the work you have done. I agree about cleaning the ductwork out. I've seen old wooden chairs cut in half, and hung on the walls, and used the rungs to hang towels and the seat for shelf.

Valerie, I kid you not, I was eating the last of the banana bread when you said you were going to make it..my mom made it. It literally melts in your mouth. My husband, kids and grandkids all fight (jokingly) over who gets it. She always makes little loaves of bread.

Loved the longer video. Sat down and relaxed with a cup of coffee. I can replay when I get up and get busy for motivation 😊. I think the mix of talking and music is perfect. If I had a say, I’d only ask for softer music. Only because after my two bone marrow transplants certain pitches give me migraines. I have nerve damage to my ears, wrists and ankles. But it’s okay. We love in my aunt double wide mobile home. They furance quit we don't have $4,000.00. So I went to Home depot bought a windowed unit that a air conditioner & heat too. We really enjoyed it.

Valerie, I have a dish washing tip..… When I hand wash dishes, I have the same problem of water draining. Wash largest pan or bowl first. Rinse it and fill it with soap and water and wash out of that pan, that is what I do with dishes and pans not going into my dishwasher..

Here's a hint straight off...like you I'm shattered at the end of the day (im disabled)..but discovered easy wash up method...fill your sink with hot water n suds then immerse as much as possible...use both sinks. Then leave until the other chores are done. By the time you're done just empty sink while crocks are still in... then they'll just need a hot rinse... & maybe a very little scrubbing. Then leave to air dry while you have a well earned cuppa ! Hey presto!...lots done for little work. Xx

If you spray your drip pans down with oven cleaner and put them in a bag and leave them overnight, you can just wash them and they will look new. Great video

Fold tge clothes at the laundry mat so you don't have that task at home. A half hour more will save you time and anxiety. I always di my dishes as soon as we finish eating because a dirty pile of dishes will give me severe anxiety and depression. I also wash them as I cook. That also helps a lot. Also, involving the kids will be nice so they can feel productive and can alleviate your burden. I can't wait until your husband gets home and you guys continue the renovations.

Valerie, I’ve never had a dishwasher, I hand wash dishes about three times a day! I jokingly tell people we have a portable dishwasher! Me! I really enjoy zucchini bread it’s my favorite. When the garden starts bringing on zucchini, I start baking zucchini bread! I think your videos are awesome!
Valerie, I think you have the right amount of content to music. I love the way go about each task. I am not a fan of pine sol it reminds me of a day care setting. Memories of picking up my daughter from day care lol. I can not go to bed unless all dishes are clean but that’s just me. I do not have a dishwasher because I chose to have it removed and we added drawers but it’s only my husband and I and h does help occasionally lol. I get excited to see a new post from you. That may seem silly to you but I feel after 74 years I desert get excited about whatever I chose lol. Your landlord is a lucky lucky man to have you and your husband as renters. I love the view from the front porch it is beautiful. I must admit I am not sure I had the energy you have. I know you will be so glad to have your husband there with you. Love your videos, love how you get things done with a budget in mind. I used to leave my supper dishes till next morning, I like you challenged myself to do them right after supper. Took me about 2 weeks to stay on task . I really enjoy coming into the kitchen and not finding a sink full of dirty dishes. Get my coffee and head out to check out the morning. I usually so tired after working all day but it feels good to have a empty sink. Thanks for sharing all you do .

They are a challenge to mop, you are right, I definitely would polyurethane, if I had to do it again. I'm believing that God will provide for other flooring for me. With the rubber sink stoppers . I put a sink mat on top of each and they don't come off. Plus the mats protect your sink and holds the noise down.

You could paint the tub and showers white with epoxy tub paint kit. Takes 2 days to cure I believe, so if you decide to do it, I'd do one at a time. The place is looking so good. Very impressed with all the work you have done. I agree about cleaning the ductwork out. I've seen old wooden chairs cut in half, and hung on the walls, and used the rungs to hang towels and the seat for shelf.
I really enjoy your channel and now that you have sold your townhouse and will be looking for a new place ,it sounds like you'll have lots of new content...and I'm here for it.Having goats and chickens sounds interesting. 😊

Valerie, I kid you not, I was eating the last of the banana bread when you said you were going to make it..my mom made it. It literally melts in your mouth. My husband, kids and grandkids all fight (jokingly) over who gets it. She always makes little loaves of bread.

Loved the longer video. Sat down and relaxed with a cup of coffee. I can replay when I get up and get busy for motivation 😊. I think the mix of talking and music is perfect. If I had a say, I’d only ask for softer music. Only because after my two bone marrow transplants certain pitches give me migraines. I have nerve damage to my ears, wrists and ankles. But it’s okay. I turn down the music parts. The banana bread looks yummy. I love walnuts in mine also. When I take mine out of the oven and cut me a slice, I love to spread butter on it. Take care ~Janet 😘

I have a dish washing tip..…
When I hand wash dishes, I have the same problem of water draining. Wash largest pan or bowl first. Rinse it and
fill it with soap and water and wash out of that pan, that is what I do with dishes and pans not going into my dishwasher..

Just found you ! Here's a hint straight off...like you I'm shattered at the end of the day (im disabled)..but discovered easy wash up method...fill your sink with hot water n suds then immerse as much as possible...use both sinks. Then leave until the other chores are done. By the time you're done just empty sink while crocks are still in... then they'll just need a hot rinse... & maybe a very little scrubbing. Then leave to air dry while you have a well earned cuppa ! Hey presto!...lots done for little work. Xx

If you spray your drip pans down with oven cleaner and put them in a bag and leave them overnight, you can just wash them and they will look new. Great video

I bought two bathtub drain plugs to use in my kitchen sinks. They fit just right and don't move easily since they fit inside the drain holes.
