Thanks for teaching it the right way; a lot of folks miss the very last part where you need to torque down the caliper bolts WITH the brakes squeezed in, so the calipers are aligned properly with the rotor.
So glad to see you suggest the caliper spreader. I can't count how many times people have seen the one I use and they realize there's actually a tool for the job lol
Hi Bill Thanks for posting these type of videos much appreciated…btw talked to brentune about my M as you suggested and all is sorted take care Jiri Brisbane
Dear Bill, thank you for the tutorial videos as always. My 2021 S1000RR has a tiny leak at the bleeder screw in the rear brake caliper so I was wondering if you have ever had this happened before and how you fixed it. It is not under or over tighten as I have checked the torque. Thank you!
It seems like you really knows about the brakes of this bike, so please, let me ask you something. I recently ride the Ducati StreetFighter V4s with Brembo Stylema M.50 and I found it so much better than my Ducati Monster 2022 Brembo’s 4.3.2. Can you compare the stock M1000r brake system with the Stylema Brembo system?
Hey Bill, do you mind if I ask what type of torque wrench you are using in this video? I'm currently shopping for one so I can do some work on my 22 S1K RR. Keep up the great videos. That M1000R is a stunning piece of machinery.
What’s your opinion on the Chinese headers? Stainless/ titanium. I’ve heard so many different things. More specifically for the 23 s1krr. Thanks for the vids keep it up.
Good video Bill! I have a question about the exhaust. It appears that there is a removable DB Killer in the end of the muffler, are you going to try to remove it and check the sound before you do any exhaust mods? Thanks!
@@CaliMotoTV It sure is quiet, but looks good. I just got my RR w/ M package. I think I may have the same exhaust? Is the catalytic conv making it so quiet? Just got it yesterday so have not had time to look real closely. And that is a beautiful bike.
@@CaliMotoTV Thanks for the reply Bill! I saw the screw on the inside of the exhaust tip and wasn't sure if there was one installed or not, thanks for clarifying it for me.
I might have the balls to change an oil by myself, but i'd never touch a brake lol i don't trust myself on my safety, and somehow i trust some other mf, weird

Nice tip
Thank you. I love that 'fanagaling' knew exactly what you meant.

I picked up some great pointers from this video, thanks for making this. You showed us some things I didn't know I should be doing.
Always the best Bill. I don’t subscribe to many channels but yours is a must - especially now that I got my M1000R too!
So glad to see you suggest the caliper spreader. I can't count how many times people have seen the one I use and they realize there's actually a tool for the job lol
That makes me confident that I can do it by myself on my S1000R as soon as its needed. Thx.
Yea buddy, great to see a garage video again! Like the bike, looking at an m1000rr and make it a track only bike.
Bill that was an awesome vid! Definitely be carrying out this lil job myself thanks to you! Cheers 🤙
Surely with the “pegs” on the fork that the calliper sits on there would be no need to centre the calliper
What’s good bill, brake pads info always helpful.
This is also a nice tutorial for any bike :)
What a very educational video, thanks Bill I've learned a lot 👍.
Nice and clean job.

Nice video learn a lot from you, any reason not using some brakelub on the back pad to eliminate possible noise from braking?
Can’t wait for the comparison to your s1000r. 👊✊️✊️

Can we get a part number for the pads please?

Why didn't you opt for the carbon pads
Man she’s a beauty
anyone has link to the pads?
what are they? m50s?
I test rode the M1000R last week. Found the brakes were mega. Did you have brake fade? I found the brakes on this better than my Streetfighter V4SP 😳
No brake fade just a upgrade for a track session with al little more bite so to speak.
What Peter said
Miss these videos
There will be some coming up
Hows the ergos compared to S1000R ?
Good video Bill!

There is not a DB killer in. there is actually a DB killer that you can install but there is not one in there now

@Patrick C yeah the cat is what is keeping it quiet, you're definitely going to have to upgrade the exhaust.

Now that I know how to change the break pads all i need to do is to buy a bike...😅😅😅
Sorry for the spelling errors …Siri 🙄
This job will take an hour bc the 50mm socket will be missing when you need it
I might have the balls to change an oil by myself, but i'd never touch a brake lol i don't trust myself on my safety, and somehow i trust some other mf, weird
Like any mechanical thing, it's just a process and if you follow it you'll be fine...
