Today I got Shimmer Pinky Swear from this collection, I honestly love it! It's exactly what I wanted. I love this brand so much, it's great quality at a great price. Thank you for swatching Catrice, is not a very well known brand but it's amazing
Just wanted to share that based on this video I got To Be ContiNUDEed shipped all the way from the Netherlands and I absolutely love it. Having been a (male) nail bitter for 30 years, I finally kicked the habit and am left with some pretty messed up nails and nail beds. I’ve now grown them out nice and long but the free edge is massive due to damage. Anyway, the current step of my nail journey is to use products that will disguise my awkward nails but still look as natural as possible. This is what is perfect for me: base coat then one coat of To Be ContiNudeEd, one coat of Essie Gel Couture in sheer Fairy Taylor, then one coat of Zoya Naked Manicure Satin Seal topcoat. Nothing will look exactly like a real nail but for someone with a fair but ruddy complexion it looks VERY natural! Thank you so much for making these videos! I have learned so much :)
Oh wow, so cool, I didn't expect you to swatch Catrice! I love Catrice and their Products. They are easily affordable and (if I didn't live so rural) available here in switzerland. I also think their polishes are great and they often have very special shades and textures you can barely find in big expensive brands. (Like crushed crystals, neopren finish and so on)
I find watching you painting nails quite satisfying! I bought Roses are rosy after watching this and tried it on today, and I love it. Great formula. My husbands commented saying this color reminds him of raw chicken breast.. I have to say it is quite spot on😂. I’m also keen to try Glowing Rose, but unfortunately it hasn’t been imported to where I live. Thanks for this video.

You are right, the flash was popular in the 90ies. What I would love to see,rhe for me most summery polish- pearly white is almost not to find anemier! I bought one from Alix Avien a Turkish made polish that smells awful 🤢. Essence Catrice and orher budget brands have skipped white shimmery polish sadly 😨

Same i hate it. The rimmel 60 seconds take 60 min to dry/firm up a little. It amazes me how polishes today take so much time. My mom loved using maybelline and maxfactor nail polishes in 1987 and they would dry much faster and stay on long enough through a week. Ps no topcoat!

Hi Libbyann! They always recommend sticking to systems and that’s what I mainly do in my salon (following manufacturers advice is the best bet legally) but you can always try. I wouldn’t recommend it with gel polishes but polishes it shouldn’t be unsafe. I always like to test a brand following the manufacturers advice just to be fair.

At different times of the year I really struggle with contact dermatitis on my eyelids and I’ve narrowed it down to nail lacquer. Took me a while and much burrowing around online to find the cause. Certain products are more troublesome than others. I seem to be having the most success with Essie polishes (i.e., minimal eyelid irritation). Thanks to both you and Mr. Salon Life - love your dynamic together and I’ve learned so much about natural nail care. Much gratitude to you both.

Forgot to add that the satin topcoat takes AGES to dry…maybe I’m putting it on to thick. But the result is worth it!

I find that most polishes are not fast drying although it often says so on the bottle but Rimmel do dry fast 🤩
