    Your camera work is amazing as always as your detail narative, great job! I want you to know that you have raised the bar for everyone when it comes to showing art exhibits and when visiting galleries. I'm always looking for art exhibits in RUclips and I always use you as the standard of quality. I would say Mary would have done this better or its not like Marys' work.

    There are a small group of creators that make things and an even smaller group of individuals that talk about those objects. There is a Huge group of people that stand back and safely criticize. I appreciate your stories about the objects.

    Thanks Mary Lynn. I work in my studio with your videos on my tv everyday. I’ve found great artists through what you do, and I’ve reevaluated others that I previously couldn’t find a way into. Your videos are so helpful to those of us in other parts of the world (I’m in Australia) who can’t get to the US or UK easily. Much respect for what you’re doing ✌️

    Thanks Mary Lynn, another great video. I enjoyed 3 of the 4 shows. And then a tantalizing glimpse of a Chris Burden sculpture outside the LACMA. It's funny the things you notice in a video; like there are no bike lock-ups outside the galleries.

    I like the velvet paintings, especially the one with the purple and white ground and sea like patch of blue. Also, the Claire/Clare Woods.

  • @alphajava761

    Clare Woods is cool. The still life florals have hints of Peter Max. Pop art used to be one artist making the same image over and over, now it's many artists making the same image or idea over and over (Barbara Kruger).

      @@MaryLynn_Buchanan Roger that, MLB! I may have missed it but what is/was your First RUclips Go2? You and your Team constantly lead the way Thanks again! JonesE. I discovered a 'New Word' from the Ancient Greeks which I used as the title of my little showing at the Michigan Light House Gallery. The word is ' Eudaimonia' "a combination of well-being or a sort of happiness or flourishing. It is the ultimate goal of a human being, a part of her function that constitutes the best kind of human life." This is what you are doing. Bravo!

    The music choice is awesome. Loved the turn style drama/opening of your first artist. Narrative was interesting but for me the craft was bothering me for every piece. Turned up edges of collaged paper. Velvet Schanbel. Never got it. Warehouses of art. Fitting. LOVE LIMBO WOODS. Fresh. Simple. Evocative. Aguilar liked the color and style...made me uneasy. BK: LOVE always Loved her work. My work is very close to hers. Word and image. For Spruth...there is too much I have to invest to understand conceptual art, but I do like the machines. All is well here. And we have blue skies here as well. Great job on this video now get some rest.

    Thank you! Free trip to LA! And Clare Woods: WOW. Not as enthusiastic about Schnabel's new work, with all due respect --- genuine respect. The work seems generally like a quest to claim a niche between Bacon and Nava, a zone between timeliness and timelessness. I don't feel these are works reflective of his position as an important artist to American 20th C art. My standards for him may be too high but I want Schnabel to remember that he sets a direction more effectively than he follows others'.

    Are you going to visit Venice Biennial this year? I see most of the stuff you show is coming from private galleries, not museums. I was wondering why and what do you think about so-called non-commercial (no art fairs) large exhibitions like Documenta, Manifesta?

    Dommage

    BORING WHERE IS THE ART?

  • @pr1me840
    @pr1me840 2 года назад

    An unbiased approach would be nice. One where you just communicate what the artist is trying to say without sounding like it's your own opinion. No offense but I do not care what your opinion is but I would love to know what the artist meant, untainted of crouse. As an artist myself I mute your channel most of the time and would love not to be placed in that position.

    • @tatortot5516
      @tatortot5516 2 года назад +1

      It’s kind of ironic how you came here to deliberately tell someone who works very hard to keep people who can’t be in the loop in the loop that you don’t care about what she has to say. Imagine what you could have done with that same energy instead.

    • @tatortot5516
      @tatortot5516 2 года назад

      That being said, I’m an artist and I understand that part of being exposed to the public is public critique, which is something you don’t seem familiarized with.

    • @tatortot5516
      @tatortot5516 2 года назад

      Bonus: art is made by people and it is impossible to view art without bias.

    • @AI-xs4fp
      @AI-xs4fp 2 года назад

      I never imagined anyone criticizing the thoughtful narrative. Why not just go elsewhere if you can't appreciate the amazing work? I would "love to not be placed in the position to listen to your crouse", whatever that is.
