Thanks for showing concrete being poured and pretty much the finish. Would be nice if the customer allows it for us to see a update few months later like a revisit of these buildings.
There is just something blissfully peaceful about watching concrete being poured, worked, just the craft that goes into something that NO ONE in the actual world ever thinks about. I first stood in awe on one of my first construction projects, I stood in amazment as my coworkers just sauntered passed. Love it. Oh yeah, paused the video to make this comment, so I'm gonna go back to watching haha.
That is one of the best looking shops I have ever seen. Your team did a great job. The attention to detail really shows and the owner should be able to approve of your quality. Thanks for the series.
Wow!!! All I can say is wow!!!! I just got done watching this entire build series and your attention to detail is by far nicer than most new construction homes that are built today. When I’m ready to build my dream garage I know exactly who I’m paying to build it. Beautiful work. You should be very, very, very proud of yourself and your crews. Thanks for the videos and keep up the amazing work.
Just binged on this over 3 days. Probably one of the best series he has done. At least for me it is. Certainly my favorite build too. They do great work. Attention to detail is amazing. Nobody does it better.
I can't begin to tell you how very impressed I am with your passion for quality. There can't be more than a handful of contractors in the whole country that perform at your level. In this world of "that's close enough" it is so refreshing to see some one who actually gives a shit about the quality of the finished product. RESPECT!!!!!!
Gord Beneteau This guy is truly awesome at what he does, but There are alot of great contractors out there, Ive met some that were ARTISANS at what they do. This is America, men with high-skill and integrity are out there you just have to find them. For most contractors , it is always a bad financial choice to do shitty work. But yeah, This video kicks ass lol I wish I had room in my backyard for a shop like this
I watched this series all the way through and as a master finish carpenter and cabinet man, I really appreciate your attention to detail and perfection!!! I want one in my backyard now!!
I’m unsure how anyone could give this, or any of your other projects, a “thumbs down” rating. I love spending hours watching all your videos. Far better than any programme on UK TV.
Great looking building. Learned allot from your build. I have 35 years of Carpentry under my belt but have never built a Pole Barn. Great job showing the tips and tricks. Thank you and keep up the hard work.
Damn that thing is INCREDIBLE. My entire woodshop would take up about two thirds of the office in this building. Beautiful work though it’s been fun to follow along with!
Thanks Kyle for letting us all view perfection in the making, a wonderful build which looks quite outstanding. We will all miss this particular series.
Exceptional content and craftsmanship. This guy is the real deal. Im just a town over and I only hear good things about the quality of his work. Sooner or later they will stop putting up that Cleary crap around here and start taking notes on what a "Quality" building looks like.
Very nice shop! I really like the lean-to on both sides with an office space because that makes it so much more useful and versatile. A lean-to also keeps bigger things that can be stored outside the shop walls from taking up valuable floor space. Can't go wrong with in-floor radiant heat even if you don't use it right away, it will be there. We did the same in our shop and it was a year or so until the boiler was installed but, no regrets on radiant heat.....it is wonderful! Your attention to detail is top notch and makes all the difference with a build like this. The color choices are a slam dunk and the owner seemed to know what he wanted in a building, which helps too. Great job!
Very surprised they only did half the shop with floor heat. We have had it over 20 yrs at our farm shop, love it. Neighbor build a shop, but cut out the floor heat because of the cost of the boiler. First winter he was in his shop and ours has regretted that he did not at least install the pex piping and worry about the boiler and operation later. Have another neighbor that installed it in their wash bay to melt ice, swears we are lying when we claim we only use the floor heat. My old house will have floor heat when we remodel it.
In-floor radiant is no joke! No regrets here at all. I do suggest a floor sensing thermostat as a must and don't skimp on the insulation under the floor or otherwise, just use common sense. Floor heat is all we use in our 50x70 shop with 14' ceilings and a second floor level and I can tell you it is more than enough heat even at sub-zero temps. No dust blowing around or some noisy furnace to listen to all the time either which is a plus.
@@wvrockcrusher we insulated under our floor. Building shell by Morton, but we did all the finish work. At my home I plan to heat the approach to my garage and the front porch and walk to the parking area. A farmer an hour away heated his outside pad and has done well with it. Of course not on all the time, only when needed a few times through out the winter.
I build pole buildings as a hobby after see the full series I really need to take up a new hobby wow incredible work what's most neat is this building is about an hour away I realized that after seeing CIC conveyer trucks again thanks for the pointers
When you build something like this, it becomes your pride and joy, your legacy, knowing that you built a building that will last for generations, and probably outlive you yourself (barring some unlikely event, like a tornado). The uses for it are seemingly endless. Great job. P.S. - Is the soundtrack the band "Nickle Creek"? I think I have that CD.
Fantastic work on this. You guys went the extra mile to get all the details right and it shows. You must be proud to have given someone a work space that they will no doubt pass on for generations. Great job guys.
Wow..he must have a ton of equipment. Don't see him running out of room. I'm sure he is super happy to have this. You guy's and subs who work with you guy's are truly A++ professionals..its a build to truly be proud of!
Getting a new shop is like meeting the girl of your dreams. Nice build. I had a Morton 60 x 60 aircraft hangar built in 1990. That was a lot of concrete. My only regret is I didn't do the heated floor. (eastern kansas) I like the lean to on the side of your project here. Lean to's are great for keeping equipment out of the sun and rain.
Being as it's been almost a year since this was first posted, I'm sure somebody has told you this, but in case nobody has. The slump of the concrete is how much water is mixed into it. A 5 inch is about mid range. A 1 inch slump is very dry and tight, a 12 inch slump is very wet and loose. Just in case you didn't know, now you do.
Yeah this is definetly a dream shop. Room for equipment, yardwork supplies, multiple project vehicles, enough height for a lift, all the toolboxes and tooling. Someday soon I'll be having a smaller 20x30 shop built but I'm sure it already isn't enough lol.
Damn that's a huge shop/building. I would love to line the toys up in there, how satisfying ugh one day I'll have one. Probably a small fraction of that size.
Amazing just amazing. I would love you to build a shop for me. Who the hell gives this video a thumbs down. Your work is some of the best ive ever seen. A great bunch of hard working guys who are proud of the job they do & do to their best ability. Just amazing thanks for sharing.
I have nothing to do with building stuff, I'm studying medicine. But its really interesting and cool that this day I've learned something. Greetings from Mexico!
Wow... what a top shelf showing on this magnificent build you gents have created! It has been a bit since checking in on you, Greg, and the guys, I had a 3rd Stage bout that lasted 1 1/2 years... so imagine my great surprise to be greeted with the notice for this " PINNACLE " perfectly finished out gift for my eyes and my heart! KUDO'S my friend, back now for the long haul hopefully Respectfully, Seth
Wow, metal trim over timber posts. I'm constantly surprised at the way things are built differently around the world. Anyway, love the shed, thanks for sharing.
Just wow! Yes I'm sure it cost some money, but think of the value added to the property. Very cool build, thanks for taking us along! Cheers from Tokyo!
Damn, that looks awesome. And as you said, those side roofs look way better than just one big slab across. It gives the building more character. Great .... great job. 👍🎈
I will be looking forward to seeing it once the customer gets in and set up and in use!! Really a nice building!! Everyone I watch you build, I wish I could have built one a few years ago! But there is still time!! Thanks for the video's!!
What a great building. Looks so good, love the roof design !! You guys can be proud of what you've build. Looking forward to some shots after the client moved in.
Hey, good job guys. I have to say that I envy your job. I wish I could do that every day. I’m from Brazil but I’ve been living here since the eighties.
Central Illinois Conveying again! Great people! Watching your review of your own building and now this one wrapping up has me drooling again, alternating with crying. If I built that in my area of Illinois, the taxes would be so high that I’d be paying for the property all over again in just a few years.....and now they’re going to want to raise property taxes again statewide to make up for what they’ve already stolen from us through mismanagement in the past.
If you want a beautiful finished shop, hire the MUD KINGS! Very nice, gentlemen!! You made it look easy, but I know otherwise ... the finished quality speaks for itself.
"doing maintenance outside on the gravel drive his whole life." What a great step up! And just in time to retire and give it all to his son. As others have expressed, thanks for the final wrap up video. Very impressive project on your part, RR Buildings (the whole crew!). One last question: What good is the steel mesh laying on the ground under the cement pour? Can someone smarter than me explain?
Radiant floor heat is awesome. Have it in my home. The colder it is outside, the more comfortable inside. Have a friend who fell in love with my heating system so he did the same setup for his shop - about 5,000 s.f. So much nicer and more comfortable than forced air.
One fine jobe my friend nice to see a contractor that takes pride in his work as well as the final end product not many like you you are a true craftsman keep up the great work thanks for sharing
I gotta quit watching these builds. I go out into my 18 x 22 space that I can hardly call a shop and wonder, what if... Great job on builds and filming!
Way cool shop - congrats! ... would have loved windows, a lantern or ridgelight towards the back of it, to get some more natural light influx though. About your steel clad posts etc. - steel directly on, especially tightly wrapped around, wood, is usually no bueno. Condensation turns directly into rot, when the water can't easily ventilate out of there. Furring strips are one way to deal with it, easy to dimension, though I know it does add an extra process, but on the bright side you won't have to worry about twists and bows in your lumber so much, and all of the back and forth with your caps. Another option is to put catchsteel on first, have a double inside/outside catch bent on both sides of your inner part, then skin it with the outer shell with a single inner bendover on the inside for it to grab, pound it flat, and Bob's your uncle... of course any combination of the two would do as well, and is worth noting anywhere you have a risk of surface condensation. You get a chance to hide those brackets out of the way at the same time. Gives a much cleaner look on porch posts.
Radiant floor heating should be a law! Great post. The few vids I've watched so far had little or no plumbing, drainage, electrical or hvac rough-ins???
He spoke about the electricity part at around the 8:25 minute mark. Surface mounted so owner can add on as needed. The H part of HVAC is radiant floor over most of the area, however, also stated owner isn't worried about heat as had been working outside most of his life and was excited about being in a building.
Only one word to describe your talents......OUTSTANDING!!
Your client has to be completely satisfied with your work.

@DanksFoSHo This building brings a tremendous amount of value to a buyer who is looking for a building that big.

most of these guys have free gas so it doesnt matter too much.
