At first, I was not sure I was feeling it, but as you said, trust the process. Just like that, the finished product looks great. I'm definitely going to try one of the soap painting methods. Thanks
Very nice effect that creates and a super fast way to do a transition from one color to another! It turned out awesome!! Now you need a couple more set of suspension arms to mixed up the colors of them all the way around!!
Thanks! I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'd love to mix up the arm and shock colors, but that could get real expensive. Might still do that later on. Certainly, nobody ever got into this hobby to save money. LOL
The reason you needed 6 cans to cover your last body is your spray technique. The continuous spray and shake method gets more in the air than on the body. Paint in smooth strokes. You know paint strokes.... this will leave a nice even paint job with less waist. Anyhow. cool affect with the liquid mask..
I have to try this on my next body! This is perfect for a basher build too! As we all know, our bodies will see some wear and tear and they’ll get some scuffs and scars. The scuffs and scars can just become part of the scheme or they can be easy to touch up.
You can back it with whatever color you like. I chose white to really make those fluorescent colors pop. The colors will change quite a bit with a black backer. I did black backer on another body that I painted fluorescent orange and it looked copper color with the black backer.
Thanks! I just used an old hand towel to dry off in between colors. I just wanted to get it mostly dry. If you miss some water, it will add to the splotchy paint edge effect anyway.

It’s unique for sure.
COOL. I LIKE THE DISH SOAP STYLE MORE THAN THIS POWER-WASH STYLE. BOTH KOOL 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Right on! Thanks!
Very sweet. Been using ripped masking tape for paint edges for last few years and now I can add the power wash to that technique 👍
It's so easy to do and creates a really cool one-of-a-kind effect on the paint.
Great Painting Idea!!!! Definitely going to try it.
Thanks! Heck yeah, man. Go for it! It’s super easy and creates a really unique look.
That’s really cool. Wouldn’t ever expected that
Easy to do as well! Thanks for watching!

Awesome! Now the tough choice - regular dish soap or powerwash foam?
That's a great paint job! I'll have to try the Dawn Power wash Method on my next go around.
Thanks! It’s easy to do and gives an awesome effect on the paint.
This looks incredible!! 🤘🏻🏁
Thanks! I really love how it turned out. It’s a unique look and was super easy to do.
Tie-Dyed To the X-maxx!!! Sweet idea!!! Cheers
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this technique. I have hydro-dipped bodies in the past but this works really well!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

@@XXLRC Oh I know, it was mostly a joke but would look cool. I completely understand the money pit of RC cars!
That came out freaking awesome!
Thank you!
Wasn't so sure about how it would turn out at first. But then you put all the stickers and plastics on. Looks great!!
I felt the same way. The colors looked dull before I pulled the protective plastic off. Sometimes you just have to trust the process.
Paint job turned out cool!!
Thanks! I had a great instructor!
That looks sick AF. Cheers.
Thanks! I’m happy with how it turned out. Really easy to do too.
💯 cool
That’s badass
Thanks!
Thats really cool
Very different
Iam well going to do that
Thanks!

Absolutely!

Flip[pin geniuz!
Man that is friggin cool might have to try that sometime. How is the paint holding up ? Awesome video 💯👍
Not much run time on it yet, but so far so good. Thanks for watching!
@@XXLRC Cool and ur welcome 👍
It's weird but in a cool way. 😎
I wanted something wild and unique for this truck. I definitely succeeded with that.
I need to try this method brother. I lie it thou.
Definitely gives a nice effect to the paint and it’s easy to do. I say go for it!
Fire!!!!! is this guy still around and if so do you sell some of your stuff?
I’m still around. I don’t typically sell, but I have thought about maybe thinning the fleet out a bit.
Cool idea but just fading the colours looks way better and easier and cheaper.
I’ll have to give that a try on the next one. Thanks for watching!
Skittles
I was thinking Fruity Pebbles, but Skittles works too. 👍
Thanks for watching!
looks like I'm melted box of crayons
It does!
I thought you would shogoo and drywall tape that thing before ruining all your hard work
It’s holding up so far, but maybe I should do that before it gets ruined.
Thought it would turn out looking like a LGBTQ+ flag and ready for the trash bin...... but it looks pretty cool actually!!
That’s exactly what happened 😅
Gay traxxas 😂
Looks great! In-between color coats what do you use to dry the body?
Thanks! I just used an old hand towel to dry off in between colors. I just wanted to get it mostly dry. If you miss some water, it will add to the splotchy paint edge effect anyway.
