Holy smokes - what a well done attack. You were methodical, accurate, patient in your execution and decisive in your target choices. Amazing attack and video - nothing but praise .... nothin' but.
Ranges: T1: 12km, 7.5km, 5km for 30kts, 40kts, and 45kts respectively. T2: 5km T3: 7.5km T5: 6.5km Would be nice if these ranges were posted in game somewhere (or I just haven't found it yet). I hope this info helps. *edit*: Just as I posted this, I saw there's an update that now includes this information.
Even if you don't have the torpedo's detonate under the hull of the ship, wouldn't hitting it lower down instead of just 1.5m cause more damage? Keep em coming!!!!
In reality, it was Britain that mostly sent prototypes and research to the USA because Churchill (after much persuasion) understood that the US alone had the economic and industrial capability to develop them quickly and effectively. The 1940 Tizard Mission, for example, provided the US with a working cavity magnetron which allowed radar to be miniaturised to the point where it could be fitted to U-Boat hunting ships and night-fighter aircraft. It also provided (among other things) gyroscopic gunsights, self-sealing fuel tanks, plastic explosives and a working jet engine. There was also research later used to develop Atomic bombs. In contrast, because the US was still technically neutral, Roosevelt refused to send much technology in the other direction unless "the Germans already had something similar" - thus the British didn't get the Norden Bombsight until very late in the war by which time it was too late to be used really effectively by the RAF.
Torpedoes with magnetic triggers are supposed to go under the keel of the ship. If they detonate there the blast will lift up the ship, when it goes down into the water again, theres a chance for the ships hull to break. Hope that helps :)
What swanning about off the coast of wales armed liberty ship’s in daylight with radios within aircraft range keeping your periscope up where’s all the aircraft and escorts surely convoy would have radioed under attack by u boats , my father was in hunter killer groups during the war it was death for a u boat near the coast , they once caught a u boat 80 miles off Gibraltar trying to catch convoys , sorry completely unrealistic lovely graphics tho , using a deck gun in daylight off the uk ,German u boats casualties were horrendous even during the happy time it was still hard and dangerous , try that in aces of the deep and you will see what happens

Keep em coming!!!!
I believe the idea was that the blast would lift the ship up a few feet, and then its keel would break when it fell back into the water.
YES Saturday complete!!!!
That break in the landscape looks like brexit to me!!
Get well soon.

Whats the benefit of changing the depth of the torpedoes?

The developers unfortunately made a mistake in showing the harbour buildings fully illuminated.
Spanish flag, easier to ask forgiveness than permission.
inaudible v/o, weak volume
Taff mentioned that he had a cold in the last B-17 video, sounds like he’s still a bit under the weather.
