Ay, to be fair, in the kombat kast, that guy who does the invasions said "I'm routing for SonicFox. We like SonicFox here." When I first heard that, I thought it was a weird statement to make, but didn't pay it any mind. But when I heard that Cyrax was reverted I immediately thought, "Ay, why did they just unnerf SonicFox's best team? He also has a Rain that is better than back then Too? That's a little weird."
His best team was always Sindel kung Lao imo tho
@@bigflounda That's true, and I'm not saying that SonicFox had them revert it, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they unnerfed that team to help him out if he wanted to use a chip out play style like back then.
@@bigflounda he lost using sindel/lao to some of the final kombat participants like MKjavier and kaninami. We already seen sonicfox starting to counter pick with different teams. NRS just gave sonicfox fix another potential team to use as a counter pick. It is fishy in my opinion
that's stupid. Sonic themselves tweeted that they will be sticking with Sindel for the tournament
Also, ONE guy on the Kombat kast said he rooted for Sonicfox coz he was using wild teams like omni man/mavado and for having a crazy run in the losers bracket. And if you had watched the combo breaker stream, you'd know that everyone was rooting for sonic when he picked that team.
Also, one thing I've come to realize about the entire MK community, is that it is REALLY toxic, and the toxicity travels all the way up into the elite level players.
The only super elite players that don't come off as being toxic are Ninjakilla and Rewind - everyone else?
The more you become familiar with their content, and the deeper you dig, you realize these are probably NOT people you'd wanna affiliate with IRL.
They are the embodiment of narcissism personified, and this seems to be exclusive to MK because Justin Wong, Ashland Ash, and Knee don't give off those vibes at all, but whenever I see these exchanges between Sonicfox and Sikander, and Tweedy, or even FOxy - I love all these guys and admire them for their skill, but I cringe when I see how they treat people.
Then there is the underbelly of even THAT, and you find 6ARAKIN, FATE, etc. and they are toxic too.
If you removed "pro MK player" from the equation, you'd be left with a bunch of bullies that would make for good comic book villains.
People wonder why the MK community is falling apart - look no further than the people who run it.

You might be right. I haven't seen much of them. But what I do see, is a ton of drama, in-fighting, dysfunctional game, dysfunctional launch, and a community that implodes every new patch. Didn't Tweedy go after some 17 year old kid after losing in a tournament?
Also, maybe it's all my perception of things and I'm simply drawn to the toxicity because that's what my algorithm shows me, but that wouldn't explain why the MK community is so weak in comparison to Street Fighter and Tekken - and that's what I'm trying to understand. Because it's not because MK is naturally the inferior game. In fact, I love MK1. I prefer it over SF6 and Tekken 8, but why is the MK community so small and dysfunctional? THATS what I'm trying to understand. Because it's a great game! Doesn't make sense the best selling fighting franchise performs so poorly in a communal setting, then I see stuff like this between Sikander and Sonicfox and it's like, well....

This is why I am putting MK1 to the side for a while, as soon as you learn a character / Kameo, they buff/nurf them, making this game too messy at this point. I will start playing it again when the "dust has settled"

since cyrax nerf, i was still playing him, i think the nerf wasnt good, i thought they should have made him like goro. i have always wanted the nerf reversed with small tweak. and they did it, it had nothing to do with sonic.. i thought the community said the new kameos were making the old ones useless. people asked to bring up the old kameos to match the new ones so why the outcry

Kham is still stronger than cyrax for a good amount of the cast. This is a good change it’s sad if they revert it. I don’t get why people are crying about buffs, the game needs more variations it’s getting bland just seeing the same 2-3 kameos being the clear strongest for a majority of the cast

Sik do get torched daily by regulars if you ever tune in, Sonic def would torch him, its not close.
He doesn't typically get, how you put it, "torched" whenever he uses Quan, Ermac, or Raiden. Its only when he plays Subzero, because subzero is one of the worst characters in the game. If he fought Sonic and used one of those other 3 characters, I don't think he'd lose that badly. Would he lose? Yes. SonicFox is the best player in the game. But he wouldn't get smoked like you think he would.
Sub-Zero is dog water in this game. his so called projectile is useless, and he was nerfed after the playtest before the game was even released. pretty much every kameo is useless for him also.

Sik is a online warrior bum who just preys on lower skilled opponents than himself and anyone more skilled than him he is just rage quits or makes excuses. He has achieved nothing and does not attend offline tournaments and would rather have a toxic YT channel that abuses his viewers and his own mother. A first to 10 with Sonic he would get bodied no doubt about it, so it's just jealously here. To believe that NRS took notice of Sonic Fox and agreed to have the Cyrax old Pre buff again is silly because NRS/WB are a big company and they would not do such a thing, regardless if he is technically the best MK player in the world and I just put it down to being a regression in the code that slipped through the QA net, since the dev team could have been using an old patch build, as a baseline and the old Cyrax code got overlooked. It's a temporary problem that will be addressed and like always, NRS will not drop a patch before a next Major Tournament and tournament organisers could ban Cyrax, if they wanted to.

This recent patch was a big L. And as you may recall, I was a Baraka Cyrax user - but even I wasn't calling for this.
(I never used Cyrax to make me safe)
Frankly, I'm tired of people using kameos to make them safe, while accumulating chip damage.
I use Mavado and honestly, that's a much more enjoyable way to play the game. Kameos used as combo extenders is the way to go.
Janet, Chameleon, Mavado - these kameos make the game more fun for everyone. Goro, Stryker, Kano and now Cyrax are primarily annoying, and the way people use them doesn't encourage innovation. In fact, they encourage poor use of offense, perhaps similarly to the wake-up/breakers in MK11 (having an advantage over someone after being knocked down)..
So you have amazing defense and instead of being rewarded for it, the people who can't land clean shots are simply given another chance using Kano or Baraka, and by the end you lose 10% to some guy who basically sucks at the game.

NRS really does tune in on pro players mainly sonic and even ninjakilla. I literally seen it myself. One day I was watching ninjakillas stream and he was playing against a sub zero player that was actually good and ninja said sub zero is going to be a problem in this game! Soon as I heard him say that I messaged him to please shut up before they nerf sub but he laughed it off saying I’ll just use sub too.. literally couple days later sub zero got nerfed to death. Coincidence I think not NRS caters to these so-called pro players. Now, Sikandar, on the other hand is a true goat all the rest, just love to abuse meta. I dare sonic or ninja to play a mirror match with sikander555 using sub. Don’t think they’ll survive that easy

The "pro" players do play with non competitive characters all the time if you watch their channels/streams. Sik isn't legendary, maybe infamous lol but he hasn't pulled Any results. I've seen people pull results with both scorpion and havik who arguably worse than sub

I watched MK Tom Brady’s video about all this shit- very interesting take. A lot of people are saying it doesn’t make sense for this or for that- watch MK Tom Brady’s video.
What do we know?
The game kinda sucks right now- and the whole tournament was mainly Peacemaker/Kano and Johnny Khameleon. That’s a fact that’s what happened. They are the most broken.
After the tournament MK Tom Brady said that some of the upper tier players were defending NetherRealm even tho players were starting to question the game and indicating the tournament was lousy.
The very next day SonicFox puts up a tier list basically doing damage control on the game saying this player is S tier this player is S tier lol ok that’s a cool story but if that’s the case why was everyone using Peacemaker and Johnny?
Then Sonic blocks Sikander. Sonic is an unbelievable player no one is going to question that but at heart he is also a troll- Sonic never runs from a fight. The outright thing to do would be to do a set with Sik and put it that way but Sik has beaten Sonic in random sets-Sik just doesn’t post his wins that way but in a surprise move Sonic posted it which is actually honorable on his part.
But have no contact with him or block him that’s a corporate answer that a corporate person would tell him to do that not what Sonic would do.
I mean you can choose to agree with me or not but a lot of the tier lists and other shit going on looks a lot like damage control really.
I hope they fix the fundamental issues with the game and soon or else I don’t thing a lot of people will continue playing it.
