Why do you keep looking back towards the camera?
Sal C He's checking the position of the blade, you don't want to tip a bin in front of the blade.
So are you also on a timer when your out working on garbage trucks because I was just talking to one of the truck driver from waste management and he showed me his tablet and he has a clock counting down and I know that garbage truck apps games has a timer but I didn't know that you have to have a timer while on a real garbage truck job
Alexander Coppage thankfully no. The county is laid back, we don't have the worry of drivecams, tablets or counters.
Since he was park i know waste managements tablets will count down your lunch breaks too make sure you take one
Honestly is the front loader postion that hard? I start training 6/2021
No, not to me. It just takes a good bit of hand to eye coordination and being aware of everything around and above the truck at all times.
I am a natural heavy machine operator on and off wheels so I ain’t really worried just leaning on someone with creditable knowledge
Not hard but bins can be heavy. I work as a front loader driver in South Central Los Angeles and them bins be heavy. Its a really good job though you'll love it.
Easy peasy and pack on the run!!
all drive-ins? don't you have any 2yrd cans? that way you have to get off you truck and push them out
I no longer work for them. There were several 2yd compactors that were on the route, but the county was not responsible for rolling them out. The customer had to stage them on their service day(s).
I always wonder how do they operate these trucks since I young now I know from this video
Update more vid..

@@jcb4415 really 50-60 how is that possible
It doesn't seem that you have to communicate much with your office, you just get your route and off you go?
Yep, they rarely bothered us.
@@CoolHandMacc Coool, going for my second interview tomorrow :)
@@mrearthshome1375I hope everything goes well with it.
Front end driver for 10 yrs miller was and gfl toronto canada
What's up with the teddy bear lol?
I like you stay safe
So what are you looking for when you are looking back?
The packer blade.
@@CoolHandMacc so you're waiting for it to get as far as back as it goes once it's finished then you go and dump?
The packer blade pushes the trash from the hopper into the body of the truck. Since the hopper is open, trash could possibly spill over the top of the blade while it's extending. He's watching so he can retract the blade before that happens
@@the73inchdic3 perfectly said.
@@mrearthshome1375 Once the blade is unable to push the trash out of the hopper without it spilling over the top it's time to dump
Is that a backup camera in your truck ?
Yes
@@CoolHandMacc yeah I’m trying to get a job at rumpke not sure if you heard of them or not but it’s going to be my first out door type of job hopefully I can get my class B’s to drive them one day
