Can you do Best way to Use Decoder to kite the hunter like The minds eye ? She is Very weak at vaulting, but good at decoding and can see Hunter trought wall. But Still Hardcore to use it, please give us a Guide Thankyou
When the hunter comes to me, there are only two endings 1. I somehow kite real well and deal with the entire thing myself 2. I die within the first 2 seconds I don’t know man, I’ve been struggling real bad
What's really funny is that I've been kiting so differently that what this video was teaching and I was doing very well at kiting. I guess I was unpredictable to the hunters when I kite because I don't usually think about strategies while kiting lmao
Adding note: look back doesn't mean kiting backward like certain seer main who always getting stuck at obstacle, just make sure you know where the hunter is and either their skill are ready or not (you can stop staring at Geisha when her skill on cooldown) Also need to remember purpose of kiting is contain the hunter as long as possible, not to escape (unless it's endgame)

That's so useful information on kiting and pallet dropping but I feel I can't remember which pallet when in game or when to use.. end up panicking..T_T
If anything to practice most on this list, if survivors looked behind themselves more it would make such a huge difference in matches for their team. I can always tell when a survivor doesn’t look behind them = they go down almost instantly or they make mistakes like throw pallets in their teammates faces 😣. Glad you made this for everyone!

So many times someone doesn’t look behind after I save and they throw a pallet in panic while they run away from the chair and then trap me inside with the hunter then I get stuck and hit😭

Your tips on the red church and sacred heart hospital kiting place actually help me a lot in kiting on those maps! I'm proud to say I managed to kite about 4 chipers in almost every match in those maps!

Mind gaming is such an important skill! My right click stopped working at one point, so I had to learn how to kite Geisha without staring at her. Mind-gaming has become so handy with dodging butterflies that would've otherwise killed me :,)

I have my own technique called 'Repeat Kite's basically going the same direction and steps. This is useful and helpful for me. Idk about y'all but hope y'all try it! How to do Repeat Kite is always go to a place with a pallet and a window/open vault. Try to go around and around and try to dodge the hunter's attack
You also need to take the lockers into account. This might sound funny, but most hunters, especially high tier won’t waste their time checking the lockers, so you can hide inside it if you don’t feel like kiting. (Just make sure you don’t leave a trail lol). Thanks for the effort btw.❤
I met a Doctor who did this in QM and I thought it was funny. XD The hunter didn't come to their area, though, so I just opened their locker and told them to focus on decoding. I do wish the devs made lockers more useful so we can use them more since they're just there.
Idk as a hydra hunter I won’t expect it yeah but it’s kinda obvious bc of the breathing and confetti if ur injured lol, only do it against a bw in wheel form or if ur not being chased and you need to reset alvas charge or naiads moisture.

I’ve been playing idv since mid 2020 however I was never able to kite properly:,))) there are very rare occasions when I’m able to do so I’ve watched a bunch of kiting tutorials back then but i still couldn’t get it, however this video really helped me! for the saving resources tip: it’s more situational than anything. if ur going up against a hunter like hell ember, pallet spam. there’s certain ways to counter certain hunters so just remember that lol. but also for ur own items, don’t save them so much that u don’t get the chance to use them. ex: coords gun. just stay alive lol
3:50 some characters are exceptions of this tip like Melly for example, her kiting consist of using you swarm to get distance from the hunter and leaving it in close entrances to slow down the hunter/make him losing time attacking it so a great time you of you kite you will be using your items ( in this case, the bees)

I asume partly from experiance but from what i understand there are also "set" kiting routes people do. How and where can one find them? Ive tired to search youtube and other social media and found some thinngs? But not really routes?
Wait, WHAT- I did not know about that! I'm a huge fan of him! Which video did he do the shoutout? 😮😮😮 Oh, but thank you so much!!! As for your question, kiting routes are developed naturally. The more you play the game, you'll realize you run in the same routes. Of course, some of them may not work against some hunters like Breaking Wheel or Naiad, but these routes will eventually become natural to you when you know you can kite the hunter longer by going through those routes.

A tip from me: look at what map is that at the pre game screen, then open the identity v wiki *maps name* and look at rhe spawning area chances so u know if u will kite or not: for example u spawned at the middle of the church, go find the spawning chance map at the wiki and see where will hunter spawn this helps so much

16:19 I actually LOVE kiting this area and let me tell you why. There is what I like to call and “infinite loop” you can set up with the breakable walls. I always pick this spot in rank and immediately break the two walls closest to the non breakable wall it’s connected to (the wall closest to red carpet if that makes sense) against like half the hunters if you have broken windows you will be able to kite them essentially the entire game. Many hunters give up quickly or stay on you for WAY too long with that loop. The key to it is 1. Broken windows 2. Hugging the walls VERY tightly 3. Constantly checking for red light because some will try to moon walk and catch you on the other side. Many hunters at no presence are countered by this and even some hunters at full presence are still countered by it if you play it right. You’re even able to use it if the hunter has confined space depending on the hunter. Try it in customs/qm to get a feel for it, it’s genuinely disgusting in the right hands (coming from a Joseph that has versed it and a professor that abuses it lolll)
22:23 with Prospector, you can do a little strategy to make use of this are for transitioning, begging breaking the wall near the transition area (or others around that cipher depending on where the hunter comes from), but don't finish breaking it, leave it like that and when the hunter comes, you can use a magnet to attract the hunter to a wall, and break it on them for the long stun
When I was starting this game, i never once looked back but after quite some time I did and got better at kiting! I also turn down the music to hear the breathing to know if they are camping the pallets

Unfortunately breathing is very very loud when ur in a locker. It’s kinda obvious

I do have a question tho. How do you find Kiting Routes? I asume partly from experiance but from what i understand there are also "set" kiting routes people do. How and where can one find them? Ive tired to search youtube and other social media and found some thinngs? But not really routes?

Oh, but thank you so much!!! As for your question, kiting routes are developed naturally. The more you play the game, you'll realize you run in the same routes. Of course, some of them may not work against some hunters like Breaking Wheel or Naiad, but these routes will eventually become natural to you when you know you can kite the hunter longer by going through those routes.

A tip from me: look at what map is that at the pre game screen, then open the identity v wiki *maps name* and look at rhe spawning area chances so u know if u will kite or not: for example u spawned at the middle of the church, go find the spawning chance map at the wiki and see where will hunter spawn this helps so much

16:19 I actually LOVE kiting this area and let me tell you why. There is what I like to call and “infinite loop” you can set up with the breakable walls. I always pick this spot in rank and immediately break the two walls closest to the non breakable wall it’s connected to (the wall closest to red carpet if that makes sense) against like half the hunters if you have broken windows you will be able to kite them essentially the entire game. Many hunters give up quickly or stay on you for WAY too long with that loop. The key to it is 1. Broken windows 2. Hugging the walls VERY tightly 3. Constantly checking for red light because some will try to moon walk and catch you on the other side. Many hunters at no presence are countered by this and even some hunters at full presence are still countered by it if you play it right. You’re even able to use it if the hunter has confined space depending on the hunter. Try it in customs/qm to get a feel for it, it’s genuinely disgusting in the right hands (coming from a Joseph that has versed it and a professor that abuses it lolll)

22:23 with Prospector, you can do a little strategy to make use of this are for transitioning, begging breaking the wall near the transition area (or others around that cipher depending on where the hunter comes from), but don't finish breaking it, leave it like that and when the hunter comes, you can use a magnet to attract the hunter to a wall, and break it on them for the long stun

When I was starting this game, i never once looked back but after quite some time I did and got better at kiting! I also turn down the music to hear the breathing to know if they are camping the pallets
