Hello SFC your absolutely right on spot I remembered when I failed my apft in ait. For me it was push-ups but took the acft the next week and finally passed it. The new pt test is no joke that takes time and most of all effort to pass
At 12N AIT PT is huge, we have pit and running days. Pit days we are in the PT pit doing lots of Core and upper body calisthenics. Run days 3-5 miles of running. It alternates every day. You are also right about why females fail the ACFT, the leg tuck.
I heart that Acft was postponed due to epidemic that major fitnesses are closed it causes recuits fail their pt. Is that correct? Because I’ll ship out soon and I wanna make sure what pt test I’ll be taking.
I'm an old timer who was in the regular Army and NJNG. I can't imagine failing Basic or AIT that is if you really want it the Army tries hard to help you make it. UNLESS things have changed since the 80's. I never comprehended things quickly myself but i always found the way the Army taught you by the numbers meaning if you go step by step by the numbers makes it easy to comprehend and the instructors would drill it in to you so you could do it easily. SO how you can fail AIT i don't get it. To be honest i found military life easier to get ahead in life then civilian life. The Army wants people who wants to be there and tries hard to make you pass. in civilian life you are a dime a dozen and if you can't do the job someone else will.
Not to mention that in civilian life, there are some grown people who never served or ever stepped foot in a military environment hold annoying misconceptions about soldiers and the military as a whole. Those people do not know what they are talking about and have no real idea what the military life is like and how soldiers are.
Shipping out at the end of August as a 74D. Super pumped! A little nervous about AIT. This video helped a lot, thank you Sergeant! Also ready for the ACFT.
I leave next month as a 12M firefighter. I don't have great communication skills. Of course I do speak english but its my second language. But I am thay guy who understand everything but speak less. Im really worrying that my language could be the reason of my possible AIT failure, because I need more time to learn things in english than avg. native english speaker. So I try to study as much as I can for my AIT like a EMS, firefighting basics and more. GoGuard.
I understand and no matter how you sound, as long as the other person can understand you and what you’re saying... you’ll be fine. Now and while at BCT I highly suggest you speak only English. With friends and family. Go out and talk to strangers if needed. For ing yourself to ONLY speaking English will significantly improve your conversations skills and flow. Trust me, you’ll be fine. Or, practice everyday by reading a book or magazine out loud everyday. Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🙏🏼🇺🇸 Good luck and best wishes in Training! 💪🏼

Thank you for this video and every video! This has given us some of the best information for my son as he is preparing to go active duty after high school graduation. My son is about to go to MEPS tomorrow and has chosen 89D as his job of choice. He is aware of the high failure rate, but he is relentlessly determined to give it a go. I’m so nervous for him if all goes well and he signs the contract! His line scores were high, all ranging between 110 and 117. If he fails this AIT, what are his chances to get reclassed to another higher qualifying mos that the army “needs” at that time?
Your DD214 will state the SPD Code & Narrative Reason for Separation. Depending on those two and your discharge packet will determine if your waiver is possible or not. Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
I'm finding as I just started AIT that it depends on your series and original MOS. My contract is for 13F and I heard today someone is getting discharged for repeated academic failure. There's also word that since there are very few people signing up for other 13 and 14 series MOSs that if you fail THIS school they'll just put you in another, easier MOS. It's the army, shit changes constantly.
The guidelines and expectations are stated within the initial counseling. Work hard and you won’t have to worry. Get complacent or just go through the motions with a poor attitude… reclass or discharge by the direction of their leadership. Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼 Good luck!
Long story short, you can choose to get recycled or get reclassed, or in the most extreme cases, they give you an entry level separation discharge. There were two guys in my 13B AIT that failed, 1 was recycled and graduated with another class, the other was reclassed and became an 88M.
Hello SFC! I’m going to basic in a month for intel. I’m excited but nervous about failing out of AIT. I’m gonna study hard and try my best. I just don’t wanna get recycled to another MOS. Say I fail AIT tests. Am I most likely to get recycled and keep taking the tests? Or get my MOS changed?

If you fail another exam they’ll usually offer you to reclass to a new MOS that you’re eligible for but based on the convenience for the Army. Don’t say it’s a language issue because that could lead to a discharge. Good luck and sorry you’re experiencing that. 68W is a challenging school alone without a language barrier.

Hello I have a question about active army, what if someone that’s an active soilder that made it through basic already but failed out of ait and got reclassed what were to happen if they fail there next ait?
Depends on the school house. Don’t fail anything and you won’t need to worry. Typically if you fail the same consecutive test will DQ you from any school unless otherwise stated.
Seasonal allergies 🤧? Because there’s no way you could have enlisted with any other types of allergies lol Be careful what you put out into the universe lol...
You’ll be discharged… that’s it. Providing you never report back to MEPS or straight to the training site. Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
I saw someone fail, he just wanted out. Now this was Draft Time. Rumor was he was made a truck driver, duce and a half. Sent his ass to the only post that scared me, Fort Polk somewhere in the Gator Filled swamps of Louisiana. Never ever heard of anyone liking that hell hole.
tasha dobbins 100% but these days, a lot of training sites allowing it to be optional. Which I strongly disagree on... Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
Is it possible to do a 2 year contract I know if I'm needed I can be called back up to 6 years after that . I want to spend a year in war environment I want that experience to fight for your life seems amazing
Not in the Army National Guard. The shortest contract is three years and it’s not guaranteed you’ll be deployed to a combat zone. Thank you so very much for watching this video and i hope stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
ACFT doesn’t directly get you promoted but eventually when it becomes for record will be part of your overall annual assessment. Higher your score, higher your rating will be. Strive for perfection and settle on greatness!
Active duty paralegal here you missed the Bad Conduct Discharge, right between OTH and dishonorable, usually the result of a court martial if you didn’t do some war crimes or something horrible to catch a dishonorable.
Depends on how big, the location of the tattoo on your hand, what the tattoo is of and which hand. Some are able to get an approved Exception to Tattoo Policy Waiver.
One that was never deployed. Additionally, deployment’s are not a promotion requirement. They’re a good experience to have yes, but not required. Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼

I LOVED MY DRILL SARGENTS!! They never held my hands, they never said good job, I was reminded that my thoughts, are not my thoughts. I was now government property. All these years later, they were my mom, dad, priest, and therapist!! Yet they never said a word. During graduation I got the "nod" and drill sergeant cracked a smile. -- I still remember him all these years later. DONT BE A LAZY FATTY, WHINING AND CRYING!! WORK HARD STUDY HARD! THEY WILL PUSH YOU HARD!! PROUDEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE!!
You will not get nothing but a mcdonald's job if you have anything other then honorable. You will work for minimum wage all you're life. Good Jobs require good discharge theirs only one honorable! You will also lose your rights to own fire arm's... Forget the right to bear arms there is no such law... This law was ratified by Congress in years ago... By adding another law to it... Plus remember federal government laws trumps state laws. Also when you're at home conduct yourself accordingly you can still be prosecuted for fighting use of drugs anything that can be held against you in civilian life will follow you right back to your unit.. and you will be prosecuted by federal law which is worse than state law. Just be moral honest and polite. If you don't have these characters built within you do not join... America needs a strong military.. not a bunch of wannabe soldiers that have attitudes and half do things.

Checkout my ACFT VID: ruclips.net/video/WI1IJzcL09E/видео.html and I talk about an update to if you fail the ACFT here and the new alternate event for the leg tuck here; ruclips.net/video/9yhDrPOjX7I/видео.html You’re a Freakin Beast! That’s what’s up and you’re killing it! Props to you! Highest I scored a 534 but I don’t workout like that haha
Team Swartz 92R parachute rigger
StayWavy Baby Oh that’s a very important MOS. A lot of responsibility haha
I am concerned about failing my current AIT 89D, I am not sure what I may be reclassed to because you are not allowed to get recycled in this MOS.
Try not to fail and you’ll be fine. Focus in class, stay off your phone in the evenings and study instead. Write notes, read what you covered for the day and pay attention. Attention to detail and make sure you are well rested by going to sleep on time every night. Stay off your phone! Lol
@@TEAMSWARTZ Thanks alot for the advice. I have since then decided that I am going to DOR and Reclass because the MOS is not for me right now.
@@SpAnKyOoO Excellent choice! Best wishes and glad I was somehow able to assist!
@@TEAMSWARTZ Thanks again!

Are we allowed to buy a laptop in AIT? Or at least have phones
Yes, you’ll be able to buy one while in AIT. Depending on your AIT location you will be limited to access outside of the barracks and immediate area. At the very least you’ll have access to your phone. Thanks for watching! HNY and stay blessed!! 🙏🏼🇺🇸💪🏻
Came in 2000 10 weeks of basic followed 37 weeks of AIT almost a year of quality time with Drill Sergeant in my life ..lol
lol That was Long time Jeez! Practically permanent party 🤣 Thank you for watching and stay blessed!
Hello I have a question about active army, what if someone that’s an active soilder that made it through basic already but failed out of ait and got reclassed what were to happen if they fail there next ait?
Most likely discharged from the Army...
Team Swartz Thank you for that, but I thought they would reclass you even after that?
Cranium Gaming One reclass offer and if you can’t pass that school, you’re a failure to adapt.
What about 92R? How many times will they allow retakes if you make it to phase 4 but barely miss finishing one packing tests?
Depends on the school house. Don’t fail anything and you won’t need to worry. Typically if you fail the same consecutive test will DQ you from any school unless otherwise stated.
I wanna join but nervous about AIT! I Wanna do 12,W carpenter but my math skills are terrible I still gotta study to pass Asvab ...

Hello SFC I'm going to join but only time that will be hard is asfab any guidance on it?
I did a couple ASVAB Videos: ruclips.net/video/8_Zn3zsKdO4/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/NNoEuXEycIw/видео.html
That stress fracture if you get discharged would you be able to come
Back just curious ?
Once fully and completely healed... with an approved medical and medical waiver, Yes.
Damn but you said 2 years that’s crazy
Dumb question can I take allergy medication into BCT and AIT?
Seasonal allergies 🤧? Because there’s no way you could have enlisted with any other types of allergies lol Be careful what you put out into the universe lol...
@@TEAMSWARTZ Yes seasonal. Spruce trees blooming kick my butt sometimes.
Gotcha! They’ll prescribe something for you if you go on sick call for seasonal allergies.
It happens in Signal Corps alot....
Thank you so very much for watching this video and i hope stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
I had 2 68Ws in my 88M AIT, one of the 88M AIT failures went through 3 times.... but he was active duty lol
Lol Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
What happens if you don’t ship to basic?
You’ll be discharged… that’s it. Providing you never report back to MEPS or straight to the training site. Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
I saw someone fail, he just wanted out. Now this was Draft Time. Rumor was he was made a truck driver, duce and a half. Sent his ass to the only post that scared me, Fort Polk somewhere in the Gator Filled swamps of Louisiana. Never ever heard of anyone liking that hell hole.
Lol Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
When my husbandwant to AIT back in 2005 pt was daily everyday
tasha dobbins 100% but these days, a lot of training sites allowing it to be optional. Which I strongly disagree on... Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
I caught pneumonia in AIT, it sucked but all it did was cause me to miss PT.
Also had my wisdom teeth removed which almost caused m e to recycle
Glad you pushed through and made it! Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
#TeamSwartz!!
Aye! Thanks!!
Can you get promoted for getting a high acft score? Thanks 🙏💪🇺🇸
ACFT doesn’t directly get you promoted but eventually when it becomes for record will be part of your overall annual assessment. Higher your score, higher your rating will be. Strive for perfection and settle on greatness!
Shipping out November 2nd
Best wishes in training! Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
Same 😂
Where to?
Real simple just don’t fail.
100%... Problem solved! Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
Active duty paralegal here you missed the Bad Conduct Discharge, right between OTH and dishonorable, usually the result of a court martial if you didn’t do some war crimes or something horrible to catch a dishonorable.
Thanks!!! Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
Hello, I was wondering if I could join the army even though I have hand tattoos.
Depends on how big, the location of the tattoo on your hand, what the tattoo is of and which hand. Some are able to get an approved Exception to Tattoo Policy Waiver.
I have 4 hand tattoos, and they're quit large.
Try what do you have to lose.
I know, curiosity killed the cat but how dose one make E7 and never go to combat?
One that was never deployed. Additionally, deployment’s are not a promotion requirement. They’re a good experience to have yes, but not required. Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
Im 22 years old do you have any good asvab information lol I’ve been out of highschool for 3 years

Why did they change the classic pt

@@TEAMSWARTZ hi you can tell me something about my Mos?
What happens if you fail ait as a reservist?
Same as described within the video. Possible reclass or discharged.
@@TEAMSWARTZ Do you by any change know what kind of discharge it would be?
Typically a general or uncharacterized discharge for failure to adapt, entry level separation, etc…
What happened to just be given Motrin 800mg and keep rucking? Also when they hell was PT, a choice, I went through in 89 all the way through Jump School, with PT everyday. Hell we PTed in Saudi and Iraq. PT should always be Mandatory.
Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
@@TEAMSWARTZ You too brother. If the next 10 years are like 2020 we are screwed.

What would be considered an honorable discharge?
Crazy Horse Completing everything successfully and in good standing. 🙏🏼
Team Swartz But if you complete everything, then why would u get discharged?😂
Crazy Horse You’ll have to watch the video lol
Is 92A a hard mos? I suck at tests
Too easy! You’ve got this!
I didn't do good as a 92A but everyone is different... Good luck 😀
Thank for your service and I appreciate what you’ve done for us all🙏🏼🇺🇸
You will not get nothing but a mcdonald's job if you have anything other then honorable. America needs a strong military.. not a bunch of wannabe soldiers that have attitudes and half do things.
basically he is saying dont screw up or you are done
Seryna Teaford Pretty much. Thanks for watching and commenting! Stay blessed!
Agreed
Why are you not wearing a combat patch?
Watching this while I'm A.I.T Fort Lee 91B. Go Ordinance

If you get injured in basic training you get sent home ??? So suck up the pain and embrace the pain
Depends but not until you’re 100%. If offered to go home, make sure it’s as convalescent leave or else you make be screwing yourself over. Thank you so very much for watching this video and i hope stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
Team Swartz Hey bro are there any waivers for the asvab ? Let’s say you score like 1-2 points under the minimum required to join ?
You forgot to say unable to pass the ait tess
I spoke about failing the academics I believe... 🤔🙏🏼

I want to be a sniper in the army would the mos be hard
Deven Snyder You’ll have to start out as infantry and your unit has a small sniper squad. They’ll offer it to you if you’re a good shot. At least that’s how it was explained to me in our infantry unit here in my armory.
Thank you
Deven Snyder My pleasure! Always glad to help if I can and thanks so much for watching and commenting. Stay blessed!
You definitely don’t need to be in the army.
What is AIT.....👀😂
lol
Advanced Individual Training is your MOS training. You learned about your MOS and completing tasks and exams that pertain to your MOS. It gets you ready for when you are sent to your duty station so you can be ready to start your new job.
Shin splints can send you home 🤦🏾♂️ going on with them 🤦🏾♂️

If you fail AIT, maybe you need to get lost!! >f you pass basic training but can't pass ait, you are disrespecting all who do!!
As a Veteran and a taxpayer, you have just wasted my money and their time!!
Your not a baby, grow a pair and see what you are made of!! Take accountability and pick up a book famiarize yourself with your job. Lots of preparation for Basic and AIT.
