Aaron Gillespie breaks down Underoath's song 'Too Bright To See, To Loud To Hear' from their album 'Define the Great Line'. Aaron shows us this quick lick, which doubles as an excellent exercise for increasing bass drum pedal speed and single kick drum control, power and consistency. Watch Aaron pull out this old Underoath lick for a quick refresher.

Instructor:
► Paramore, Underøath, The Almost and now, his own solo album. Aaron wears more hats than we can keep track of and he wears all of them extremely well. Currently the touring drummer for Paramore, Aaron offers a unique perspective on what it means to be a working drummer and an artist at the same time. He’s all-in and his drum lessons reflect that.

Man, I remember hearing it for the first time when that album came out. It's one of my go to bass pedal exercises, beautiful!
You're ahead of the game Chris!
I don't wanna be boring but "Too bright to see, Too loud to hear" is from Lost in the sound of the Separation album
Honestly I've always just played and was never able to break down how. Watching this helps me better identify beats!!
Thank you so much for sharing
You're so welcome!
Dark Chocolate, if you think this is good. Check out my Boy Rob Beatdown Browns channel, he is an excellent teacher. You won't regret it.
I'd like to hear him talk more about what he is playing exactly. The notation specifically. Love the videos man, watch them all the time! Cheers from Canada, eh!

22" K Light
one thing he doesn't say that helps is he doesn't have shoe on and has just his sock and that helps his foot to slide better and go faster on the pedal
Now try polyrhythmic grooves and inverted paradiddles.
