We're performing this in our highschool choir program with our orchestras and a lot of this kids can't stand singing it because of its length, mostly the younger ones because they don't appreciate the beauty as much. The seniors pretty much all really love this piece of music since we're a little more musically mature. I'm excited and I hope our performances of it go well, it's a hard piece to rehearse in a highschool choir haha!

After having performed the SSAA version of this a few months ago, I finally got around to listening to the SATB version. I'm happy I was singing Alto 2 instead of Tenor - what I always really enjoyed about this piece was the ethereal feel, and I feel like the SSAA captures that feeling better. Nothing against the performers here - they did a solid job on a piece that isn't easy - but I will admit to favoring the SSAA.
