Anubis learnt from seeing the Tau'rii in operation and combined the best parts of Goau'ld and human weaponry. And thus you have an easy to aim (i.e literally point at target) rapid fire weapon with most of the power per shot and bottomless clip of the staff weapons. Even if it didn't have the OP personal shield a few of those Kull warriors could easily cause havoc against the armies of the system lords (and hold their own against Earth troops)
@RFS Korolev He didn't combine them literally, he's implying Anubis was just smart enough to realise what worked practically, so he made a super soldier (considering humans were powerful enough to do raids on System Lords and assassinate many using tech inferior but practically superior weapons). Apophis also "evolved" in this way- he made his own elite squads designed to hunt SG-1 and was somewhat successful at it after being in combat with them so many times (even killed them had the Nox not ressurected them) and was the first to upgrade into capital ships (before he lost it and his life to the Replicators).
For close quarters, sure (unless it has an auto-targeting feature?) - for longer range I'd rather have a rifle of some kind (hell, give me a staff weapon, some tools, access to a hardware store and a few days and I'll have one that has grips and can hit long range :D )
When I first saw this episode and how the Kull Warrior just shrugged off all that fire power without even breaking a sweat I was stunned. I never expected anything like that from Stargate.

Also how the hell did he survive a C4 blast, those things can tear a dozen of new assholes even to many centimeters of steel.. Being a director I would rather make it as they all have a personal shield, like the goa uld hand device for example but ofc the color should be different.. Also the shield could only eat so much energy if we talk about zats or staff weapons or kinetic energy of ballistic weapons which alone would kill that warrior alone without any other protection.. (The same would go for a .50 cal BMG bullet resistant vest if there was some, the kinetic energy alone would smash your lungs and bones apart even if bullet wont penetrate, making your chances of survival pretty slim) ..

rkmugen, most of the music for the Stargate SG-1 TV series was written by Joel Goldsmith with help from his dad, Jerry Goldsmith, and their friend, Neal Acree. Goldsmith never really titled his compositions, he gave them titles like 'the main theme' or 'the end theme.' He also used the same compositions over and over but played with different instruments to either give them subtle or dramatic effect. The main intro theme, used in the movie was composed by David Arnold. Arnold did not add to the TV series. I think Goldsmith composed some outstanding music for SG-1. It really added to the show. I play concert F-horn, piano and most percussion instruments, especially concert bells (well, I did in my younger days). I just turned 55.
It's interesting to note that this is a major shift in the usual Goa'uld tactics. Their military works based on numbers, not on individual strength. An easy target for SpecOps teams all considered. The Kull warriors on the other hand are the peak of technology. A single unit, made to kill and kill only, almost unstoppable by both small and large teams. They hit SG1 in their weak spots until they could adapt. And even then they were a major danger.
The main reason why the Goa'uld never tried to have any single powerful unit is that they were always afraid of rebellion and betrayal. With the blank slate Goa'ulds Anubis used, that was not a problem so he could make them much stronger. Also Anubis was technologically much more advanced than even the system lords, they just could not build this kind of armor even if they wanted to.
Ra could have created the Knull warriors with replicator techno armor suits that shoot lasers that age anything with entropy. So you shoot replicators with that ray and they turn to dust. Only thing that doesn’t age is diamond.
What was interesting was that the weapon they created against the Kull warriors, "the Kull disruptor" only worked against the special kind of humanoid inside the armor that Anubis had created. A human (or Jaffa or Goa'uld) wearing Kull armor would be nearly unstoppable, being impervious to both normal energy and projectile weapons AND "the Kull disruptor" The only things that have been able to penetrate it being the self-destruction mechanism of the Alpha site and the Ancient drone weapons
smik4978 actually no matter who's in the suit a weakness could still be found. If a human resides in the suit then a simple poison dart could kill him since it's been proven that dart guns can get past the the kill armor and shield (there were humans later in the show that had kull armor). A Jaffa or goa'uld would be more difficult (since it takes a lot of drugs to incapacitate or affect them) but if the dart was filled with acid or corrosive base substance you could kill or incapacitate him. If a replicator or wraith manage to aquire the suit then that could lead to a near unstoppable warrior and would require a new means of eliminating them. I'm just kinda surprised that sg1 didn't collect the armor and use it during their missions lol
@@NotceDragon I'm sure I saw in one of the later episodes a scientist wears a piece of the Anubis Warrior armour and takes a full staff blast but it throws him back to the other side of the room, the armour was probably implied to have recoil deflection problems that the cloned warrior is immune to/loophole against it

I read some of these comments about the Ori beating Anubis, but i think that if Anubis had more time he would have had the advantage. The Kull Warriors are more then a match for regular Ori Infantry. Then there was Khalek, the Human/Goa'uld hybrid with all of Anubis's knowledge and almost ascended. At that stage Khalek was more then a match for any Prior, and given more time would have been able to defeat Adria. Let us also not forget that Khalek was a Prototype for a whole army.
@sike3000 I'd say Jedi. Because even if the Kull warrior armor is able to shield them from a light saber, a Jedi (or a Sith) can always resort to choking them telekintically using the force.
Stronger versions of force choke would be force wound or force kill, both of which damage internal organs rather than just choking the victim. Kull warriors are fragile enough as it is and rely entirely on the symbiote to be able to survive. Someone could use force kill on the symbiote and the warrior would freeze up without anything controlling it and would die without the symbiote sustaining it shortly after.
I found it sad that these guys didn't show up more, they were used sparingly which kind of sucked. Seeing them fight as an army would have been awesome, plus the fact the writers quickly gave SG-1 an instagib weapon to kill them (a common reused device throughout the series) also made them "enemy of the week #9". I would have preferred SG-1 actually developing believable countermeasures to stop them rather than rely on "lol ancients" as they seemed to fall back on a lot late during it's prime.
yeah but not before half her army had gotten marmalized, if fact you would only need one or two on a planet and they could pretty much wipe out any resistance

With high enough numbers that could become quite the problem for them but than again they could just figure out how to negate the teltac energy.

The only way you could have killed it with C4 is by exploding so much repeatedly that you remove all the oxygen from the air and after keeping that up for half an hour he might have started to actually suffocate.
Not sure if that would have been the case, the technology they are based on was for the most part only developed after the split between Ori and ancients. This was complete BS. What they should have used was claymores, TOWs, Carl Gustav's, a 50 Cal machine gun with AP rounds not light MGs and unfocussed explosives. But then the writers were trying to establish how tough the Kull Warrior was, not really try to stop him.
They were using armor piercing rounds, the armor just absorbed it
The kull warriors are basically always healing so pretty much any weapon that just pokes holes in it is not going to work.
