Thanks for the amaizing support. the sheet has the dependency chart, need help in plotting the dependency. could you do a instruction link for the same. Thanks again
I'm a visual person an this is exactly how I want to see how projects are progressing. A quick wham bam and mind blown.... Thanks so much for helping my project management skills get raised to the next level.
Excellent Leila! Some years ago a company I was working for spent a small fortune on software for project planning and it was useless. We wasted time learning how to use it and then putting in data, and it never really did what we wanted. The comments below should bring a smile to your lips - you are really appreciated!
It's been 4 years since I've been (I hope) an advanced Excel user, and I've never find a RUclips channel with both so awesome tips & tricks and high quality in its videos. In 2017, for my work, I've realized a tool on Excel for Project Management. I think I did a good job, but about the Gantt Charts I was not so satisfied. Then I changed company and I left the project in a folder without having time to perfect it. In the next few days I need to resume the project and seeing your video in RUclips home gave me a lot of great ideas to complete it. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
میدونی چیه؟ شما فوق العاده هستین. واقعا بهترین آموزشهای اکسل هستش که به عمرم دیدم.you know what? YOU ARE AMAZING . The best excel training vids ever seen, and trust me I have seen a lot
I just want you to know that I started a new job today and they asked me to put together a timeline chart using Planned and updated timing with two bars for each task and your video saved me. Thank you very much.
I don’t do a lot of work with charts so my skills with those are basic at best. I am good at the maths side if things just not charts. Someone asked me about doing Gantt charts in Excel, and whilst I was able to make something, what I was able to do is nowhere near as good as this. Thank you very much for this fantastical educational video. ❤️😀❤️
Way to think outside the box! Or in this case, inside the graph box. I'm so glad I subscribed to your channel. You're truly innovative with how you combine the available graph functions with the data in all your videos to maximize the presentation. Now when I hear someone claim they're an excel expert, I'll ask if they heard of Leila Gharani, if not, then they're no where close to knowing what excel can possibly do. Keep up the amazing work.
Lovely Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Weydaniel Organized Dominator (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a great exclusive guide for getting 7000 plus project management and business templates without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my cousin finally got great success with it.
Kudos for the Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Weydaniel Organized Dominator (do a search on google)? It is a good one of a kind guide for getting 7000 plus project management and business templates minus the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my good mate called Gray at very last got great results with it.
Pure genius. Took me for-ever to get it right and working, but eventually got there. Many thanks for taking the time to put together this comprehensive tutorial on a very complex topic. Extremely helpful and useful!!
I've been working with Excel for thirty years, and I've built planning matrices which try to do a similar thing, but this simply amazed me. I don't think I've ever seen a clearer explanation of something so stunning from the rather clunky basic features in Excel. You are some kind of mathematical angel, a kind of 21st century Ada Lovelace. Thanks so much! Is there a way of making a chart, say with 4 series, where each of the series contains a set of labels and numbers which are different in each series? With all the breakdowns of each series simultaneously showing?
Lovely Video! Sorry for the intrusion, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Weydaniel Organized Dominator (do a google search)? It is a great exclusive guide for getting 7000 plus project management and business templates minus the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my mate after many years got cool success with it.✅
Thanks for the video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Weydaniel Organized Dominator (search on google)? It is a smashing one off guide for getting 7000 plus project management and business templates without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my cousin got great success with it.
Hello @LeilaGharani, In the minute 5:44, you could put the date and automatically Excel put the number: you put 4/15/24 and Excel gives you 45397.0 after the enter. Thank you for your videos, they are awesome!
Throwback in time now from 2022, thank you very much Leila for your help. I cannot say how much is appreciated your work. It can be easily seen how much you dedicated, even for this simple task of Gantt Chart in that page of your website, how much detailed and also here so well explained..I must say it's so great and you are really good.
Super like !!!! This is exactly what I was looking for. Many of my team members do not have MS Project and I often need to show them the project progress in excel. This uses a really weird method of bars + scatter plot to achieve the plan vs actual chart ! Out of the box thinking !
Vielen Dank Liebe Leila,🤗 I have used your previous gantt charts, and this is so sophisticated. I love all your charting techniques. ❤️ Viele liebe Grüsse 🤗
You solved my problem.. ws thinking of preparing a roadmap for my new project.. and All Ur 3 videos were highly useful.. Thank you so much.. I hv subscribed to learn more :) .. U r doing a wonderful Job .. Thnx Once again.. Ur Videos r Amazing 👍
Very impressive. this will be very usefull to me as I am handling Projects with excel. I thought I was an excel expert till I saw your videos. I have become a fan of your videos. definitely will be recommending this to my colleagues. Thanks So Much Leila..
I am not a fan of Microsoft square bar when drawing tasks. Been trying to find a way to implement the rounded bar in Excel but to no avail. Thanks to your tips and tricks I am now able to implement the rounded bar throughout the whole project. Instead of using the stacked bars chart for the actual and progress, I use the technique that you share with the scatter chart. Once again thanks so much Leila
Hi Leila.. great video. Love the chart tricks and hacks to get the EXCEL charting engine to produce your results. Very creative and impressive. Always something new and fun to learn from your channel. Thanks and Thumbs up!
I have previously made excel gnatt chart.. My manager was impressed.. Lol. But it didnt have current progression bar.. Hope to learn it today from your video.
Superb u are.. I got my issue solved.. Love ur skills.. I struggled today a lot to show planned and actual in same chart but tried with stacked bar only.. Good 💡 to use scattered..
Thanks Leila, so useful! I needed to track projects in a portfolio and show if they had been extended past the approved end date. A bit tricky but I got there in the end.
Those 12 of you, who disliked the video, please post your video, if you think its better than this one. Thanks Leila..this is the exact issue i am facing to represent a data in my office.( Wanted to show planned, actual and % completed in one graph ) I will follow this today and publish it. Thanks once again.
@@LeilaGharani .. Yes Leila.. I think i will now stick to your channel. I have referred to so many youtubers teaching excel.. finally narrowed down to you for the "Non VBA Excel", and "Tiger Spreadsheet Solutions" for the VBA section. You both are awesome. I made a Gantt chart last week for a tender task list. I was about to make a "today bar" to empathy the day carry on, but I did not success. This is all I need. Thank you very much

This is brilliant, I don't even need MPP for the regular project plans, plus the visuals are much better.
I'm glad the tutorial is helpful.
It's really helpful!
Thanks!
This is a super series. One thing I would like to be able to add would task dependencies so one task could not begin before another is completed.
Richard from this community actually already created a version with dependencies. I will include his version in the workbook.
Thanks Leila, so useful! I needed to track projects in a portfolio and show if they had been extended past the approved end date. A bit tricky but I got there in the end.
That's great Dianne. I'm glad you could apply it right away.
bit convoluted but masterful in the end. I am impressed again, Leila. thank you
