I am extremely fortunate to have lived during this era. What a tremendous dynasty. As a Yankees fan I always respected and enjoyed this A's team. The Swingin' A's
It’s going to be sad to see them leave Oakland. But they’ve always had trouble drawing well consistently. They probably should’ve been moved away from the Bay Area and closer to Sacramento.
CharlieFinley was JustLike AlDavis..except when it came to taking care of plsyers.. Throw in the Warriors & U have 5 straight Championships! NiceRun. Unmatched
One more accurately may say that the ability to decide for themselves that they no longer wanted to play for a cheapskate who humiliated them to a man, is what broke up this dynasty.
The Oakland A's of 1972-74 are my all-time favorite baseball team.

I'm a Pirates' fan, but anyone who watched baseball in the 70s would never forget the A's
My grampa took me to my first ever ballgame, in 1971. Vida was walking around with a big, floppy white hat on, and he signed my shirt. It was magical.
A’s were fantastic!
Swingin" A's the Best!!!!
While I only a huge Dodger fan, I do have respect for the talented A's teams of the past eras.
Was my favorite A’s team I’m a Tulane love the colors
Those A’s white uniforms in the 70s were awesome.
reggie reggie great times and the greatest team of the 1970's.
This Dynasty frequently gets left off of list of the Greatest Teams of All Time.
I never forgave them for beating my Tigers with Billy Martin managing.Best team of the 70's,hands down.

Certainly this team deserved a suitable ring ....Too bad the legend isn't popularized in a team o thought wasmong the goats.

I don't believe any other team has won 3 straight World Series besides the A's and the Yankees. Those A's from 1972-74 were something else.
You are correct on both counts.
If these guys were playing today as a team, their payroll collectively would be $750M annually.
I think Vida was being a bit generous. Personally, you need to win at least 3 in a row to be considered a dynasty. In any sport.
Free agency broke up this dynasty that could have won five straight
