This level of honesty, vulnerability and accountability is rarely seen.
Wish women did the same
@@Leoshti facts
@Leo Animations Get out your feelings, I know from being a man myself the amount of married and taken men fooling around and when they get caught it's between them and their woman until the truth comes out in the open some how one day.
SO easy to be accountable in ur 50s when you did all that partying n yr 20s, 30s , 40s...he banged all those women...now I'm honest
Even the dudes was shocked. They were like, "come on, man. Tell me she at least burned the lasagna or fried chicken. Give us something."
That’s how a man handles his wrongdoings. His accountability and vulnerability was nice to see.
Wish women did the same shit 😂💀
@@Leoshti facts
Stfu he cheated 1000000 times. He has money that’s it. Lol how a man handles. You’re a joke.
@@Leoshti right lmao men always take accountability it's what makes us men now women on the other hand smh
It’s easy to say i was wrong after the fun has been had. Stopping while it’s happening is accountability not this.
Just when I thought I couldn’t respect this man anymore than I already do.
For cheating on his wife?
@@andymccreight3175 obviously not. Some of us realize we all make mistakes. You just must be above all that.
@@kurtlamprecht93 well, you tried..
Respecting a cheater, ok
@@kurtlamprecht93 😂😂😂 such a troll
This is REAL MAN POWER. Vulnerability, accountability, unconditional love.
Yes and I’m glad he found it. It’s just unfortunate it normally takes men so long to realize this. That’s what we want the whole time and we’ll give you the world. Smh
"I don't make excuses, I messed up"...
Alot of respect
I love how the question was posed with their usual dusty narrative "both sides...women file for divorce...you can't control that." He checked them quick and showed them what a real man taking accountability and growing looks like.
exactly, it doesnt take 2 people to get a divorce i know PLenty people who did the process on their own, it takes longer but it can be done. he was on some bs
@@vturner no it usually takes 2 you know if you live somewhere that isn’t terrible
What does “dusty” mean?
@@Saber23 well in north america it does NOT take 2 people. Are you sure you watched the video? Because thats not what he was implying when he said it takes 2 people he meant that Shaq couldnt be at fault by HIMSELF which is why Shaq said it wasnt true
@@Saber23 a dusty is a guy whos a bum
A saying I heard a long time ago seems fitting here: “No other success can compensate for failure in the home.” Shaq seems to be feeling that right now.
This is so true. I’ve always thought the same of spouses who leave the family in search of something more. Pure greed, and it will truly never satisfy…
As a man struggling to find his purpose in life, I felt that. Thank you for sharing this quote
Maturity isn’t about age, it’s the acceptance of responsibility for our words, thoughts, actions, habits and attitudes. His ability to admit his mistakes shows maturity. Kudos to Shaq!
This is enough to make anybody with a heart cry. You can have all the money in the world, but sometimes you don't realize what is most valuable is something you can't buy....sometimes you don't realize it until it's gone. So many people in this same situation (not the 76k SF house though), chasing something that is already right at their feet. This was a huge interview, well done, somebody bring me a tissue!!!
I’m definitely misty over here 😢
I could relate to everything he said especially as my home is also 76k square millimeters 😂
😭😭😭
Accountability is so rare and refreshing.
Big Respect for Shaq, he not only owned it. But he is trying to make it RIGHT by them🙏😊
This humility is beautiful and he didn’t walk it back. Bless him.
Incredible seeing a man being real about his mistakes.
He’s grown to have so much respect for the MOTHERS of his children , I love that . This is maturity and growth
I've always respected and loved Shaq as much as one could from afar, but this is a man right here.
Owns up to his mistakes
Oh stop it. He's an animal that made fun of a CHILD with facial deformities. He's a pig.
@@jannorris4140 like looking in a mirror, huh Jan?
Nothing but respect for this man. A real man or woman will stand up and be accountable for their actions. We all have made mistakes, that's life.He has grown in wisdom, spoken in Proverbs. Be Blessed.
Love Shaq, he’s a class act. Sometimes you just have to grow up.
Shout out to him for owning his mistakes.
the level of honesty and humility is exemplary, good to say a real man own up to his mistakes and not blame the other person for his actions.
I've always been a fan of Shaq but this right here made my respect level for him skyrocket
Much respect to a man that can admit to his mistakes and change his life and thoughts.
Why is this not viral on social media! Love the vulnerability! Much respect Shaq! 🙏🏽🙏🏽✊🏽✊🏽
I literally felt what he said in my gut..that was pure honesty..so love it..
Humility. The greatest trait any human being can possess.
Direct Accountability without excuses. This delineates adults from children. My respect for this man just went up even more 🤙🏻
Thank you Shaq ….. some women really needed to hear that.
Who? His 2baby mothers. He wasnt speaking for all men.
He ain’t shit this the same man who just said he would let his daughters stay with him as long as they want but his sons gotta move out at 18 wtf a 18 teen yearr old is still a teen you not fully grown till 20 😳
@@wealthy_islife6195 The sons have a different barrier of performance in life than the woman bro. It’s one of the dichotomies in life that exists. You gotta pay the cost to be the boss.
@@TiburonCap We live in the time of equality, you can't say you want equality and be treated differently.😄
@@darksideon exactly this nigga tripping how you gone let your daughters stay however long they want too but kick out his sons at 18 not 20 or 21 but 16 17 18
My respect to Shaq for being open about the loss of his marriage. Good for the soul to hear truth
Shaq is a real man. Respect to those tho raised him. He's one of the last of a dying breed
Damn Shaq was so raw. I'm glad he saw his mistakes and owed up to them. The fact that he didn't allow himself to get polarized in this male vs female nonsense and actually came to a viable conclusion on why it fail earns my respect.
🎯Shaq is an example of a "grown" man💙He made bad decisions in the world💚owned it in front of the world❤and continued to protect his family from the world💛
I am so glad he cleared Shaunie's name.
Cleared her name? What were people saying about it? Everyone know they divorced because of Shaq cheating. He’s been on bbw too and speaks highly of her. They are great co parents, now.
@@ginalove4907 The interviewer was trying to blame her for the divorce
@@CleanMusicLover229didn’t she cheat during the marriage as well ?
@@KenshiroBossDid you watch the video?
So much vulnerability and accountability, it's so refreshing to see. Much respect Dr. O'NEAL
When he said he was lost it really hit not thinking about how much harm you caused until it’s all over is a different level of grief and realization.
This is why I love Shaq, honest he kept it 100th, this is what you call accountability, not running away from failures but facing them head on. All the best moving forward Shaq, you are awesome in my book, watch you all the time on NBA on TNT
Much respect to him for knowing and admitting this. We are all human. We all make mistakes. Best thing we can do or acknowledge them, learn from them and grow from them.
This guy sounds silly! He wanted to blame her so bad but Shaq corrected him in his tracks! 👏🏾 That's a true man!
Really appreciate the realness in him! Great guy! God bless you and your family 🙏🏾
This is what the power of growth looks like know what you did wrong saying what you did wrong and taking steps to make it right he's an incredible man for that.
Man.. this guy defines the word “Man”!!!! He’s proof that no matter what life throws at you, you decide what your destiny will look like. He cares so much about the ones he loves that he’s able to recognize his mistakes. I wish we had more fathers like him. His children were blessed to have a dad like that. If I had a dad like that, I would strive to be the greatest man by default just because of who my dad is. A real man is selfless and recognizes what his weaknesses are to become a better person. My respects to Shaq!
Now that’s a real man!! owning up to his mistakes!!!!🥰
a man and his word tells alot. owning up to mistakes tell alot. alot of people dont deserve to be lied to, its as simple as that if you let it
Always loved Shaq but now I love him even more. He didn't have to publicly announce his errors but he did. Stand up!
Who doesn’t appreciate his honesty!
I have so much respect for shaq. Makes me reflect on my own life as a new father and a relatively new husband, I appreciate everything he said. Keep your vows, be there for your kids, shaq is helping a lot of men by saying those things.
His honest is refreshing because most men and women don’t take accountability for their wrongdoings. His honesty is a sign of maturity.
What a man! Very inspirational and truthful! I respect him even more as man, father, and star...you just do not hear or observe these qualities that often anymore! Awesome as well as encouraging data for all to hear , learn, love, and observe!
Nice to see someone not blaming someone else he's a real man
Bro really tried to tell Shaq how his divorce was.
I peeped that too! He was like no blame the woman... its always the womens fault! To see a BM taking accountability gives me hope.
Yes!! Idiot. Talking about it takes two?? Wtf everyone know shaq cheated.. so you saying it’s the woman’s fault?! Gtfoh!! I wont be watching their podcast because of this. Dude is childish. Kudos to shaq.
@@thegoddess369 alright crybaby
That’s beautiful that he recognised his mistakes knowing the world could be watching this. He isn’t protecting his ego he’s letting you know. We make mistakes don’t make the same.
Just amazing. We all make mistakes! He is a great example of taking responsibility.
Nice to see a celebrity be real about their mistakes and how it was their fault.
I remember watching this when it first dropped and i ignored Shaq’s words. Fast forward my girlfriend of 3 years has left me and I 100% deserve it. Terrified I’ll be Shaq’s age with the same regret in my voice. She’s my soulmate and I took her for granted.
Any man reading. Don’t make our mistake. This pain, guilt, shame, regret I feel is the worst thing I’ve ever felt.
I respect what Shaq said. Going Hollywood is not the life for a married person.
Oh stop it. He's an animal that made fun of a CHILD with facial deformities. He's a pig.
Thats not what he's saying. He said he cheated and did a lot of wrong to the woman who carried his children and expected it to be cool. He took accountability for his mistakes. Don't get it twisted yiu can blame anyone for what you do. But he owned up
I feel him 100%. Like someone else commented- “just when I thought I couldn’t respect this man more.” It’s Shaq for me. 🙌🏽
Finally a man that owns up to his wrong doings without putting the blame on the woman
Big ups to Shaq. It's really great to hear him man up and own up. It's helpful to see a successful person be honest and also live a good life after big mistakes made.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE When people take accountability and admit the hard truth.....Much credit given to Shaq for his truthful conversation...Amazing
Shaq is a real man!
A real man knows when he’s done wrong and understands the importance of still providing for his kids…respect Dog man aka shaq 🙏🏼
Shaq's always been a solid dude...he's just human and makes mistakes. He knows what's up.
Shaq your a real man! You know your mistakes and have learned from them. Peace Man.
Shaq is just an all around stand up man he’s a wonderful father and respects both of women that gave him some great kids not only that he’s so giving props and blessings Shaq!
This is what being accountability looks like...RESPECT Shaq!!!
That was profound! Good man!
I have so much respect for this man takes a lot of courage to face up to your faults
Love this guy. I love that he has held himself accountable instead of blaming Shaunie. He is truly such an amazing human being.💜 👏 👏
How refreshing for a man to reflect and take accountability. Unfortunately this clarity usually comes after the damage is irreparable.
This is what a real man sounds like. Takes accountability for his actions and does what he can to make it right.
Word being a husband is taking on responsibility with certain commitments (vows). Much respect for Shaq being open and straight w this
My gosh was he honest, that was something. Thank you Shaq for sharing that; it helped me put things in perspective.
Hes had that was it worth my family moment . 20 vs 80
I’ve got so much respect for a man who can admit his mistakes and wrongdoings. It is so important to be accountable for your actions. Our actions are not ours alone, decisions that we make good or bad have implications for those closest to us and those who love us the most. Much respect.
So much I can say about this video! It’s just that powerful! As a life coach, owing his stuff is powerful in itself. I have another level of respect for Shaq. I have never been a Shaq basketball fan, but I am now a fan of the man.
I love you shaq. Everyone did mistakes.
But you did a great things taking care of your kids.
Shaq is such an awesome dude. My brother & I met him. He stood out on & off the court from his teammates. Now he’s a great business man, family guy, & always shares his life stories to help others. This is what class & wisdom looks like. Shaq is the real deal #Truth
I really appreciate Shaq and his personality. Some Decisions just have consequences and you have to make the right choices, because you can not return back to square 1 on some actions!
I love how shaq respect his kids moms. My kids father talks to extremely nasty and says he don't have to respect me, it's not about me it's about the kids.
He admitted the mistakes and is not bitter towards the wife and kids. He's accepted his duties and continues to fulfil them.
Now this is an amazing example about what interviews should be like - honest saying what is most important on this world and that a short greedy gratification can cause way more pain and reflection - well said sir
This guy has has one of the most beautiful heart. He truly loves the people that are close to him.. kudos for him to Manup!!! I can't never get enough listening to Shaq!
Some of these legends are great fathers and husbands, and regardless of how much success you have you can't ever trade that for your family. You can see Shaq's regrets. The temptation is on a whole different level when you're in the NBA and especially one of the biggest names in sports. That's why Kobe saved his marriage when he was close to getting a divorce also in 2011. When the music stops you want that special someone to share everything with.
Humility is always good to see..............
I have so much more respect for this man now. I love this and who he is now.
Shaq was my favorite player growing up and it’s rare a childhood hero lives up to it but he’s the man.
I love what Shaq said here-"6-7 thousand square foot house...and no one there!" this proves it-he has millions and millions of dolars, mansions, and all the fame/fortune. And the first thing he wanted was his family and their love. The money, cars, fame does not replace a strong family nurturing home!!! This is something that has eroded in our once great country-I hope it comes back!
I love this show. I love watching RUclips and your show came up keep it going 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
*70%+ of Divorces rate filed by women American Sociological Association 2015* over "Innreconcilable Differences" but the *1 man who knew he messed up his marriage, admits it and takes accountability, responsibility, and accepts the consequences*
For Men or women most *divorces happen because of internal unhappiness, lack of empathy, respect, reciprocation, loyalty, selfishness and self-sabotaging enegry* and then your left alone, trying to move forward in your with life with business, other relationships, hobbies etc but none of that will never fill the void of someone you knew was good took them for granted, and lossed them.
Respect to Shaq
🤣🤣🤣
This is a true factor of u never know what u got until it gone 👌but not only most important he learned from it he realized what was gone n what he done to lose it just some things cant be reframed after broken its just shattered for life
That was beautifully said i respect your honesty it takes a big man to own up to his mistakes and i love you even more one love. All the best in the future
Love Shaq and respect his growth as a man
I have been watching Shaq on RUclips for about a year now And I am amazed at what a good man he is I have nothing but the ultimate respect for this man.
It’s the “yea, but no” for me. I love how he didn’t agree with the host and took accountability
Life is about redemption and I have much respect for Mr. Shaquille O'neal.
Humility. Love to see it.
It takes a real man/woman to reflect and admit they screwed up. I remember my ex saying after we divorced, "Out of all the people in the world, you did not deserve this." We are not close because he turned very passive aggressive, even though we tore into one another after we never ever talk bad about one another the other to people, especially not to our kids. I would never take him back and he has never asked, but we had a couple good decades together and 2 great kids.
And that’s why the big brother is blessed
Respect to shaq for taking responsibility.
Go Shaq real man ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
There are always stories of regret when these men get old. When are they going to be decent from the beginning? Kids smile in your face, but they never forget that their dad was a dog.
I just love that grown man Shaq. Able to reflect and grow. So much love and respect for him.❤❤❤❤❤❤
