To quote one of my favorite movies...."SOB is dug in like an Alabama tick". That thing had some big roots! I'm sure at some point the task became "personal", and that sucker wasn't going to beat you. LOL Great job boss!!!
Thank you Sondra , you are a wonderful follower of Robert. I’m in Australia and the cost of sending money is greater than the benefit sadly. I do play all the adverts to help out. Keep up the good work Robert the farm is really starting to look good. ❤️🇦🇺🐶🐔🍀
The suspense was having me at the edge of my seat. I knew your were determined to get that Pivit tree out of there n sure enough you did it. Wow! What a difference it being out. You can see the house even better with that freshly mowed front. So much excitement for me today. I’m loving it. Looking so good. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟🐶
Woohoo!! The dang tree is down!! Cleaning up around the old homestead will make it look pretty. I know there's work to be done on the house, but cleaning up around will bring the old home back to life. Keep up the good work.
Bravo! I didn't think you could do it. Never bet against Robert and the Old Byrd Farm. That privet has always bothered me. What a vast improvement already.
Whew. I'm glad you pulled out that widow maker without any injuries to you two. Once the vining wisteria is removed from the garden wall, the whole area will look so good. I am amazed at how much you've accomplished in a couple of years. Well done!
It's beginning to look a lot cleaner out there. I am glad you got rid of the wisteria trellis, it always looked so scraggly and well done with the privet.
The Old Byrd Farm is coming along great! I enjoy watching all your progress and learning the history and all the incidental knowledge you pass along. Thank you for every last thing you do to bring your videos to everyone.
You have worked that poor tractor pretty hard. I hope you are keeping up on the girls maintenance. Your farm is willing looking good. Keep it going..it sure is amazing.
Wow! I just watched the video from 2 years ago when the other Robert came over and you did a whole tour of the place. What a change since then!! Big Time!! You have definitely done ALOT of work on your Old Byrd place!!
Looks much better without the Holly tree. I like the idea of a sitting area in front of the wall, maybe with some low growing flowering shrubs or just some shade loving flowers.
Hey Robert you can get a turn and plow for that tractor of yours it'll pull every one of those Vines out of the ground when you take your disc and run back over to levels it all back out I was raised up on my grandpa's Georgia Farm really do enjoy your Channel God bless you and yours
Having a tractor with various implements is so necessary for a farm. I've got a tiny 20HP one with a loader, mower and box blade. While it doesn't have the power yours does it still helps me so much on my terribly overgrown and rocky 10 acre property. It's crazy, I enjoy watching you work on your property while I'm taking a break from working on mine. But oh if I only had a 140 year old beautiful home looming around my work!!
You make me laugh watching you rock forward in the tractor seat as tho giving the tractor a little boost...funny as hell...love the wonderful things you are doing with the farm...keep up the great work...never miss a video...wishing you much continued success
THUMBS up to this video!!!!! Thought I'd give you howdy and say the farm is shaping up from what it use to look like. Good luck with the farming. 👍👍👍👍👍✋✋✋✋
Robert swinging an axe looks like a dangerous thing. I kept thinking no he’ll cut the big parts of the tree off before he tries to push that stump out, but then nope. Lol! Guess it just don’t matter how you get there as long as you get there. Job well done!
My mind is blown, I’m auctioning the shirt off my back and it’s up to $85 🫣 www.ebay.com/itm/275800864258?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Y63vBmcbQuS&sssrc=2051273&ssuid=Y63vBmcbQuS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I've got a few native Azalea cultivars I planted around here too. Lots of Japanese stuff, but wanted to pull in natives as well. Also put in a line of Aronia, Arrowwood and Highbush Cranberry Viburnum along the back lot for a native hedge. Few Button Bush and Service Berry as well. Get the native plants in for the native critters. 👍🌱🌱
Robert, to see the Joy in your fact after you got that privet up and outta the ground was Priceless. I agree with you on the location of property in front of the wall on the side of the house , to plow it and turn over the soil. It Will bring up a lot of westeria vines, but will also turn the soil over, which would be great for it for either more planting or just to reseed with grass, for now. That Little orange Kubota has been a real blessing to you since you got it, and you has helped you 10 fold in getting all that you have been doing to clear the land, much faster, and easier as well. Have you figured out what you plan on doiung with that very marshy area on the other side of where the wall is, where all that natural spring water is coming from, as far as a better drainage issue?? also wondering, if there is a natural spring there, that maybe at some point you can tape into and drill a well there?? My husband looking at this video said, Robert never gives up, and I smiled and said, look at all the work he has done in the last two years, and all that he has accomplished! awesome. You have a lot to ber proud of Robert. May God continue to bless you and all your family.
What great work Robert. Sometimes we have to clean up to move forward. Im a visual person so the vision of a pea gravel path from the house to the garden came to my mind. Most of it straight but in the midpoint you make a circle and put the fountain/birdbath right there. Also once you took that first bush out, I thought wow he should put all his vintage cars up to the vintage concrete wall. Like its a showcase. I think it would be so cool. One spot for them all to sit and when people drive by, like me, you can see them. But thats just me....
Robert, I watch you do these videos and you make pushing the trees and brush over look so easy....so then, I go to my property and...i am a complete failure!!! I will keep trying. Maybe my tractor isn't as powerful as yours. Love your progress.
Crazy how here in Ohio, they sell Previt bushes at Home Depot, which I bought a Golden Previt (just 1) three years ago and it’s beautiful! 😬 I keep it trimmed nicely. But they are hardy for our snowy Ohio winters!
Old houses speak to me, I’d rather have an old home rather than a newly built. The restoration is part of the enjoyment, seeing it come to life is very fulfilling. I’m wondering if you have a plan on working on the actual house itself? I’ve never seen a privet that big or knew they exist.
It good to get back to native fauna and flora. 👍👍 In the UK we have the Victorian Gentlemen to thank for the invasive species, they brought back tons of plants form thier journeys around the globe. The very worse is Japanese knotweed, anything you cut off and leave will root.
I'm thinking they did not realize the problem with bringing plants from another part of the world over. Someone released some house sparrows and starlings in New York city around 1900 because Shakespeare mentioned them and they spread like crazy competing with native birds for nesting areas etc. They're more aggressive because they come from a more populated area.
Are any of your children old enough to help on the farm? That axle and wheel you moved along with donated siding is intriguing. Seems there should be a way to bury the axles a few feet in concrete and then use the wheel to hang plants from or use it as a tomato trellis. One of my fav areas of the farm is the patio with a cinderblock wall.
Huge tree popped outta the ground……. Eventually.

Your are doing a wonderful job Robert. That tractor certainly has been worth every dollar you spent on it!
So funny I found myself rocking back and forth trying to get the tree trunk out with you😂. Great job!
I was doing the same. Hope Robert felt the pushing help.
Shout out to Sondra for supplying $100 worth of Tractor Supply water hose to the OBF….. does this mean I gotta water these plants now?!
Thank you Sondra , you are a wonderful follower of Robert.

@@chriswilford3576 Hello from Ohio Chris! 😊 Robert is the best.
Hey don’t forget to put a barrel under the edge of the house for rain water to water your garden plants with
Yes! We are going to do that.
I cant wait to see more restorations on the house 💕
I was just thinking how the house would look from the road with the porch done and some paint even if only on the road side.
ME TOO 👍🏻
Wow Robert you ripped that tree out of the ground. Great job!
ROBT, THE PLACE IS LOOKING AWESOME!😁👍🏻 BA-LOU IS AS SUPERB AS EVER!!🐶❤️🥰🐶❤️🥰
That privet just did not want to go. Good job in the end.
You have such determination and perseverance, Robert! Great job!!!
Love how you dog shadows you and is your constant companion wherever you go 😊

There's always time to work indoors when the weather is nasty outside
Another pain gone, talk about perseverance more power to you Robert
So glad you got rid of that privot. This is my favorite kind of video. Thanks
Bravo! I didn't think you could do it. Never bet against Robert and the Old Byrd Farm. That privet has always bothered me. What a vast improvement already.
I absolutely love your perseverance!!!

GREAT JOB, Robert!!!!! ty the production crew member who helped out also. Place is really changing!!
Anxious to see the House restored.
"Gonna focus on the front of the house, clean up here"...."Is that a privet"?? Dang privet... 😂😅😂🤣
Love your videos. May the Lord bless and protect you working on the old Byrd farm
Poor Blue must run at least 60-80 miles a day trying his best to keep up with you, Robert!😂
It's beginning to look a lot cleaner out there. I am glad you got rid of the wisteria trellis, it always looked so scraggly and well done with the privet.

I'm so glad you got that ugly holly out. I can't wait to see the whole rock wall. BTW, bird bath is so awesome. Love everything.
I love a good junk shop! Yay, Robert, on the privet tree!! 😊
Everything is coming together with all your hard work.Looking terrific ❤❤❤❤😅😅😅
Well done that man. You are a legend.
Love these long videos!👏👏👏👏
No stopping you and the little orange beast. That looks much better. More usable ground to plant fruit trees and veggies. You go farmer Robert
You have worked that poor tractor pretty hard. I hope you are keeping up on the girls maintenance. Your farm is willing looking good. Keep it going..it sure is amazing.
When it reaches its 50 hour maintenance interval I will perform maintenance on it. Right now it is at 44 hours.
Truck farm right there looking better every video. Thanks from. Sc
I love where you put the sunshine on the house looks 👍
You should put a small stake in beside the Azalea bush & pull it straight with a string around it & the stake that will help it to grow straight.
Makes you wonder how the wind blows them over. Nice job.👍🇺🇸
It sure would be nice to see you do some work on the front of the house itself. I can't wait to see that.
Wow! I just watched the video from 2 years ago when the other Robert came over and you did a whole tour of the place. What a change since then!! Big Time!! You have definitely done ALOT of work on your Old Byrd place!!

Looks so different now.youve done a great job .Well done
THUMBS up to this video!!!!! Thought I'd give you howdy and say the farm is shaping up from what it use to look like. Good luck with the farming. 👍👍👍👍👍✋✋✋✋
That privet had a massive root structure, and was tough to get out but you got it!
One thing for sure, when a privet branch dies and dries out, they get brittle and can break rather easily. Glad you're alright!
Robert swinging an axe looks like a dangerous thing. I kept thinking no he’ll cut the big parts of the tree off before he tries to push that stump out, but then nope. Lol! Guess it just don’t matter how you get there as long as you get there. Job well done!

Looking better every day.
I thought getting that holly tree out was great.
Then you tackled that big boy tree

Well that big boy put up a fight !!!!!! Well done it looks great. Blue is a treasure 😍
Hooray for you Robert 🎉🎉
Always enjoy watching these great transformations of Old homesteads. well done fella keep at her.
Robert if you want to you could build a shed for all your garden tools in so they won’t rust
You sure work your heart out!! So proud of you!!
Such a great improvement , good job, Robert. 😊🏴
That Kurosawa is worth its weight in gold. It sure has helped with many projects.
The privet is fighting back.....Blue is a big help around the farm, now all you need to do is train him to help you weed the garden😉
So nice to watch the clean up and that big tree out of the way. Looking good at the Old Byrd Farm.
Good job Robert I’m glad you got it done

Love the guineas talking in the background. Guineas are such great watch dogs and insect munchers.

I keep seeing more blue skies. Now more Byrd Farm house. I love it, it put up a fight, but you won.
Robert, I watch you do these videos and you make pushing the trees and brush over look so easy....so then, I go to my property and...i am a complete failure!!! I will keep trying. Maybe my tractor isn't as powerful as yours. Love your progress.

Great job getting that tree out of the ground. Good attitude one way or the other usually gets the job done. Always enjoy seeing blue
I 👏🏻when the tree finally went down. That was a struggle! Love the cleanup of the front. Is it going to be a community garden?
The yard looks amazing from where you started…lots of hard work…
awesome job on the felling of the privet
Robert,
I got so tired watching you I'm
going to take a nap!!
Cheers,

So satisfying when anything so obstinate gives way!
what are your plans for the front porch? the yard is looking great!!
I think driving the tractor is your favorite thing to do! Must be fun!

I agree ,like the Japanese bar berry ,the multiflora rose and taxus yew bushes .they should have left those where they found them .
@@cherylradabaugh2720 That rerally is true, its just a pity they had no idea the harm they would cause.
Looking forward to more " damned wisteria " wars !!!!
Beautiful place love what you done looking
That farm has come a long way
Those tractor are pretty powerful too be small the farm looks great keep it up
Give er heck Robert! Awesome 👌 👏

I may have done thing somewhat different but you are doing a great job. And it is your project and you do it the way you want to!
