Same, I know at some point we might lose technology and many of us are reliant on it and take what we have for granted, many people will panic and riot if or when that happens, because we are too used to living in comfort that we don't appreciate what we have. Our ancestors had to struggle to live, they had to work hard for each day and it had meaning, now it feels like we're NPCs in a video game just going about each day as if we are programmed, we're existing but not truly living.
@@Hecata_Harbinger I couldn't agree more with what you wrote really two days ago i was talking about my colleague at work wondering how much craziness this world can stand and he asked me: what would you change for example and I said the internet must go. It will be a lot of panic of course and worse but he answered it will happen soon... It was like what is he talking about so simple response like he knew but 100% it so real it was funny. On the other hand we can just care of our own decisions individually and not use it. For example i just have RUclips for music and videos like this one. I suppose you have seen or know what's the content in social media. The innocent years (I don't know the English right word) have long gone unfortunately. Easy money is what everyone is hunting

Lunar_lotus I relate to what you say it would be heaven on earth for me It wouldn't be hard to live like that either I come from farming etc background and just like my grandfather i liked farming the old ways also love woodworking and blacksmithing love cooler climates just like my grandfather Helga did I was always an outdoorsy kid spent most of my time out in the great outdoors fields and woodlands forest lands hunting fishing building making and maintaining things servival skills And in later life for some reason moved to a city can't stand cities way to many people way to stressful definitely doesn't help my anxiety PTSD would love an island and just live that way of life no unnecessary noise good decent fresh air no where near as much stress or hassle as modern ways of living
Me too there are enough likeminded people to build a real working place like this for modern people

Thank you, Tom for taking us along on this journey to see Viking culture. One can see various aspects of Viking influence throughout European culture, West to East, North to South. This was due to expeditions, raids, and trading. Even here in North America, one can see traces of where Vikings settled or explored, from the East coast to the MidWest. Thanks, again.

Indeed, Tom. History is valuable in understanding where we originated from, who we are currently, and what we hope to become in the future. It, along with bushcraft, are just a few of the lenses we view life through. In turn, this information shapes our journey forward, making life fascinating, yet so compelling. And we can still have fun!

This is very relaxing. So refreshing to see something like this from Europe as usually I can only see old villages in Japan or China or other countries in Asia.

So cool to see this movie from my 2nd home, Njardarheimr. I do live furter up the valley normally, but I have had periods living inside that town (from May to December last year).
The town is a work in progress, and more buildings are planned.

Oh, my! Such a beautiful and artistic video - the architecture is amazing! Many of the decorations remind me of those I've seen in Central Asia. Viking life really came alive for me through your lens...I could almost feel the presence of those who walked the Earth there so long ago. In my family we had a second generation immigrant from Trondheim, Karel Johansen. He was married to my father's aunt. His father was a sailor from Trondheim who stayed in Amsterdam. He worked on a shipyard in Amsterdam. He was very strong.
