I love kumquats! I love the tart ones, they scream vitamin C! I keep trying to grow them. I have three in pots and one in a kratky hydroponics. I had more in kratky hydroponics, but something happened and they all died. I'm going to get a pump hydroponic system for the one I have in the kratky grow and see if I can get it to produce fruit! Great vids!
I've made a hot sauce with the Nagami kumquat in it, quite a nice combination. With the Meiwa it would probably be even better. I tried growing Kumquat plants from the seeds and they germinated nicely, but after a while they just stopped growing and died. Any tips for the best conditions?
Love the channel. Trying to cheat a bit on this vid so u answer my pepper question. When do u stop cutting your pepper flowers this season? I'm thinking April 1st.
You need to grow it in a pot, clay pot is the best. Plastic pot retains too much moisture. It does take 2 or 3 years for the small plant to mature. Currently, my tree is 5 years old and around 50 to 75 fruits. It's an every green tree. I bring it out in early April and bring it back in in late October. They still needs 6 hours of sunlight during the winter. So place it on Southern facing patio door or large window. I am in 7A zone, NY
Have you tried Fukushu? They grow bigger than Meiwa very sweet also. They do have more seeds though. Marumi is also very good! Nagami is my least favorite.
You have a very diverse set of plants, not matter if greens, fruits, veggies, or others Khang! Always nice to follow along. -Bob...
Hey Khang. They are so cute. Very nice, and enjoy. Take care
My dads got one home of these plants! They are perfect for squeezing and stuffing them in a blue moon beer!

I'm in central Texas, btw
Where are you located? What growing zone? Wondering if I would need to bring this indoors in my winter (I'm in Northern Delaware zone 7a).

kumquat này ăn ngon lắm🤤
It has no juice at all?
Now I want a kumquat tree. I am located just outside of it’s outdoor growing range 😢
Can you grow these from seed or do you need to grow from a cutting to come true
You can grow them from seeds. They will just take too long to fruit, so it's better to find one at a nursery.
How i can buy Meiwa kumquar
Does your Meiwa fruit once or twice per year?
I got twice when I picked off all the fruits.
