@@gjtrueAgreed. I’ve heard that Platinum want to make a sequel eventually and if that’s true, I’d be really happy. Vanquish still remains one of my all time favourite games.
This game was amazing, definitely lateral thinking in a genre of the same and more of the same control schemes. I wish they would come out with a second one, with more replay value. As far as uniqueness goes, I place this game in the same category as Zone of the Enders. It is one of those games you kind of have to go outside your normal comfort zone when it comes to gaming, but when you do and find a game like this...you wish there were more original titles to pick up.
sega truely hired the right developers and composers. vanquish kicked gears of war of the throne even if V is beatable in less than 4 hours. shinji did already show with resident evil 1 (1995/1996) that true classics dont need a long playtime. i really hope there will be coming an 2nd vanquish with twice the playtime and with vertical maneuvers, would be scoring 94% at least.
@JagerThrasher666 I thought it would be interesting to say that I finally got my hands on a copy and finished it today. The game was fantastic! Very under rated. All those who haven't played it, if you can find it, please give it a try.
@MyFrenzlyMH Technically, this was made by Platinum Games, without Capcom's involvement...but PG was once Clover Studios (a partner of Capcom), so perhaps they brought some "tricks of the trade" over. :P
I recall this game got the "Best Game Nobody Played" Award.
A bittersweet award it deserves. A damn good and underrated game that more than deserves a good sequel.

Wow just wow its been a while where i can enjoy playing a game with tracks as hot as this, future developers should take note. 5/5
the year is 2023. i can confirm that indeed developers here have not taken note.
@@henry7696Still waiting on that sequel :/
this game is fast the first time you play lol
Never noticed how awesome this theme really is. Guess I was too busy trying to keep Sam alive during this tricky part of the game.

@Wasp1984 Amen. The game is awesome and the song too.
sounds sick man. like some evil underground nightclub going on lol
He made this after resident evil 4 and after leaving capcom Shinji Mikami oh not the song but you can see his taste
I loved this game too, but too few people have even heard of it.
=(
I really want to give this game a try. I really enjoy its soundtrack though.
Game critics honestly don't know shit about games.
damn good belt conveyor music
1:37, 2:50, 4:01 and 4:28
@shawtyloh they will because the ending of vanquish clearly showed that the story isn't over yet

Yes. GameSpot gave that award.
@ZoepX oh come on killzone has one of the best music ever created for a video-game...
You're last year's model!
capcom games at the beginning : " Vanquish " , "Resident Evil " xD
@gngskpow ok thanks ;)
a critique is just someone's glorified opinion
