  • It's a tough question to answer but it's an option that definitely should be considered. Most individuals feel like they are wasting money on rentals but the benefits can really outshine the costs in some situations.

Do you have any idea why you get so much hate?
I'm not that knowledgeable about video production yet, but what you say makes logical sense most of the time.
    So, am I missing anything?

I think that's just the nature of the internet. Some people are going to hate and leave rude comments. I'm totally receptive to it if they made valid points of had some kind of argument but 95% of the time it's just baseless hate so there's not much I can do or respond to.
Most of my vids are just me sharing my opinion anyways. They are entitled to their opinion and I think I'm entitled to mine.

      You certainly are.
But I never saw so much hate as on your channel.
It does make me wonder, if there is more to it.

Well I enjoy his videos, and as long as I understand the way he came to his conclusions, I don't see a reason to stop watching.

Hi Stronz, I totally agree with what you are saying, I mean whatever you said made sense, but I actually would like your thought 'on this if you don't mind:
Personally I like to rent the gears too because like you said, however my friend would actually rather own the gears even though he might not need it all the time, however, his reasoning is this: while you save money on renting gears, owning gears is a different story, by owning it you get to play with it, see if it does what you needed it to do, and / if there are quirks / workarounds he would know how to get to the end results, rather than only able to test / play with the gears a day or so before the crunch time, what's your thought on this?
Thanks for doing this and keep up the great work, a lot of useful / meaningful things to think about rather than always just woo~~ look at this shiny new toy on the block :)

I would say that "by owning it you get to play with it, see if it does what you needed it to do" is a pretty big investment to play with it and see if it works. That's actually an argument I would use in favor of renting. With renting you can test things out and see if they suit your needs, if you buy something you're stuck with it.
Buying expensive gear only makes sense if you know you will be able to pay it off and make more money than if you had just rented. Otherwise you are just going into debt for the sake of collecting stuff.
Other items to buy would be really cheap items or really rare items that aren't rentable.
