Great communication clinic! I'm the Trainer for our Association in the State of WA and I will be using several segments of this clinic for communication training within our crews. Thank you for posting this.
As a 1st season official in the state of OH, who is nervous as hell as their first game approaches - your videos have been my training tools during down time periods at work... Greatly appreciate these, and the time you put in to create these videos!
@mlfurm I just know that I have been told to make that backwards pass signal whenever a pass doesn't cross the LOS regardless if it is forward or backward. This is to help with offensive PI or illegal man downfield calls.
@@ts4426 Now, maybe your state does something different (and that is fine) but that is contrary to the NFHS manual. Punching back ONLY means the pass was backward. And again, the point is to prevent an IW. The other thins are merely flags that can be waved off after the play and the crew talks. But you can't fix an IW. For that reason, per the NFHS manual, backward punch is only for a backward pass.
Those are the most manicured grass fields at the high school level I have ever seen. Very nice!!!!
I like your videos, I`m veteran but watching your videos and review make it much easy to get back in to it again.
Thank you for that feedback. It's good to hear that you found them helpful!

Good luck, Billy. Glad to have you on board. You’re going to make mistakes. We all did and still do. Learn from them and work as much as you can.
Glad to be of help! Good luck! You're gonna love it.
Should a wing official ever make a signal for a covered receiver? I've heard conflicting opinions on that
The OOB play that starts at about 6:45, why is R winding the clock at 7:21?
How about if the pass is forward but it still gets caught behind the LOS? Such as a bubble screen.
Not sure what you are asking. Then you have a forward pass same as any forward pass. Nothing to signal.
