I don’t know why they would make the 700 a single cylinder
Price, weight, heat… just to name a few reasons
Less moving parts than a twin
More torque
it actually uses the same engine as the 500 just cammed and tuned differently, they both has a 650 cc engine, not sure why they decided to avoid the 600CC area

@@JoshuaOverman All the 1000s and over you should and Can Am recommends it or you could get knocking at lower RPMs under load. I would run 91 in it anyway unless it is specifically set up for 87.

I was just in a can am dealer and that red one in the video is the extended version because the 500 and 700 I was looking at were the exact same size and color length and all.

Just got my woman the last of the 2023,570 Twin Sounds Way better to be honest not being a hater. They look good but I’d rather the V twin.
The 570 motor was a 650 motor detuned for the 570. Essentially you were paying for 650 but only getting 570 which made absolutely no sense to me. This new single cylinder 500 motor makes a lot more sense for a smaller machine.
@@MaxsMotoShop yeah that was the part that got me on that but I knew if I tuned it back to a 650 I was good which I did unfortunately for $500 but I just like the sound of a V-twin
@@mikeslife5941 trying to re-tune a 570 into a 650 would leave you a 650 power to smaller weaker frame. I never liked that bike the 650 was a much better machine.

@@MaxsMotoShop I got an Outlander 570 XU+ brand new built on the chassis of 650. I had it re-tuned to 650's HP. Due to added power/torque it started popping misfire codes and ended up in limp mode. I replace stock primary clutch to a CVTech to elinimate further belt slips.

Why does the 500 and 700 make a knocking noise when you bigger to accelerate?
I have the 700 but it is not as weird looking as that 700 it looks identical to the 500 greatest four wheeler ever had I’ve had Honda Polaris so forth, and nothing can compare to this crazy power can go about 7580 engine braking is amazing why that one is such a different body style than the 500 is because it is a more up graded/trim model all I can say for my 700 outlander is well worth the money in every way

The 500 & the 700 are THE EXACT SAME MOTOR... just different cams for different horsepower. Or a "detuned" version for the 500 class

Pretty sure that’s the sound of the CVT weights bottoming out against the casing. It is the P-Drive from the Mav, so if that has it, then this does too.

Are these all new bikes? It’s not good to rev the piss out of a new engine.
How are you supposed to test the engine and make sure it is good and ready to go to your customer it is part of the PDI process. Also only revving this bike around 4000 RPM. Not even close to the maximum rpm.👍

it’s standard procedure 🤣 you think they let them out the factories without test running ? literally when you uncreate these, one of the boxes you have to check off is “throttle control” and “engine control and rpm”

Supposedly the 500 has a different camshaft but yes both 650cc and 500 is mainly detuned via software. They really should have skipped the 500/700 designation and stuck with the pro versions HD5/HD7 designation. I guess they could have called these SD5/SD7.
