My personal Top 10 PunkRock Albums of All Time would be: 1. RAMONES debut 2. The Clash debut 3. Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks 4. X - Los Angeles 5. Gang Of Four - Entertainment 6. Bad Religion - No Control 7. Buzzcocks - Singles Going Steady 8. Rancid - And Out Come The Wolves 9. Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables 10. NOFX - Punk In Drublic Just my opinion
Totally agree with the live shows for Green Day post #AmericanIdiot. I saw them live on the #Insomniac tour and it was crazy. Next time was #AmericanIdiot in a stadium with the 'hey-hos'. :/
I'll do a quick all-time faves without really thinking too hard on it as well. Top is #1 A Wilhelm Scream - career suicide, but partycrasher moving up Pennywise-about time Lawrence Arms-greatest story... Strung out-twisted by design Bad religion- empire..., but no control is a close #2 Death by stereo- if looks could kill... The Flatliners- dead language Dear landlord-dream homes No trigger-canyoneer Whole wheat bread-minority rules I'm sure if i looked at my collection things would change but just thought real quick on this
I'm with @mute_print, going to just throw out a personal top 10 without overthinking it. Pennywise - About Time Alkaline Trio - Maybe I'll Catch Fire Bad Religion - No Control Bouncing Souls - How I Spent My Summer Vacation Descendents - Everything Sucks Spanish Love Songs - Schmaltz The Flatliners - The Great Awake Hot Water Music - A Flight and a Crash Against Me! - As the Eternal Cowboy The Vandals - Hitler Bad, Vandals Good Bonus albums that could fall into the genre but aren't straight up "punk": Lifetime - Jersey's Best Dancers Kid Dynamite - Shorter, Faster, Louder The Get Up Kids - Four Minute Mile CIV - Set Your Goals
Thought I'd share a quick 5 minute draft of my top 10. If I spent more time I'd probably sub some in and out but reckon it would look something like this. Black Flag - Damaged Agent Orange - Living in Darkness D.I. - Horse Bites Dog Cries AFI - Black Sails in the Sunset Bad Religion - The Process of Belief No Use for a Name - Hard Rock Bottom Dwarves - Dwarves are Young and Good Looking Misfits - Legacy of Brutality Dag Nasty - Can I Say? Rise Against - Revolutions per Minute Honerable mention Descendents - Everything Sux
@@ergoth154 The trouble with a lot of 80's hardcore records is that not many of them are no skip 10 out of 10's. Usually 5 or 6 bangers and a tonne of filler, IMO. Damaged is a no skip record for me. Loved the first two EP's and have a Black Flag tattoo 😅 Black Flag are so important to the Hardcore movement and the reason why bands like Evergreen Terrace and Comeback Kid exist. Two of my all time favourites bands, although, bordering Metalcore at times.
@@thegift01It's fine to pick Damaged lol, definitely influential I just prefer a lot of other 80s hardcore over it. TSOL's Dance With Me & JFA's Valley of The Yakes are two that come to mind. And Fresh Fruits For Rotting Vegetables
#Insomniac is my favourite Green Day too. Oh man, Dyaln - 'Walking Contradiction' is my favourite song too :D Proof - My Top70 Green Day songs: music.ruclips.net/p/PLA-IizFuPTB-afvv_zq_oDo20MRQGY1T3&si=n5mucZvmCO9Bau5G
I think Offsprings Smash is a huge record that got me into punk and is just as important as Green Days Dookie. One of the first punk cds ive ever bought.
That entire 1994/1995 “Second Wave of Punk” changed everything. Albums like Dookie, Punk In Drublic, Smash, And Out Come The Wolves, Big Choice, etc brought Punk to the mainstream.
If I put only one album per band, I would have taken punk in drublic and dookie (it feels like blasphemy to say that) and replace them operation ivy and maybe 24 hour revenge therapy or Dear You by Jawbreaker

The Flatliners- dead language
Dear landlord-dream homes
No trigger-canyoneer
Whole wheat bread-minority rules

Dear landlord doesn’t get the live they should. But that could also be my Minneapolis bias.
I'm with @mute_print, going to just throw out a personal top 10 without overthinking it.
Pennywise - About Time
Alkaline Trio - Maybe I'll Catch Fire
Bad Religion - No Control
Bouncing Souls - How I Spent My Summer Vacation
Descendents - Everything Sucks
Spanish Love Songs - Schmaltz
The Flatliners - The Great Awake

Bonus albums that could fall into the genre but aren't straight up "punk":

CIV - Set Your Goals
Thought I'd share a quick 5 minute draft of my top 10. If I spent more time I'd probably sub some in and out but reckon it would look something like this.

No Use for a Name - Hard Rock Bottom
Dwarves - Dwarves are Young and Good Looking

Living in Darkness is an awesome pick, but switch out Damaged with a better 80s hardcore record, and it's a solid list.

Thanks for the content man been loving this channel since I found it 👊
@@thegift01 You're welcome dude, thanks for watching 👊
Elliot we pronounce it “Sanne Suzie” here in Australia. It’s the name of a Sydney suburb in addition to being frog for ‘no worries’
Thank you 😂 I've never known how to say it for 20 years
I love Australian bands......whats up with the spiders in that country?

“No Control” by Bad Religion would also be in my Top 10 PunkRock Albums of All Time
The hate for heavy petting zoo is wild haha
There was literally no hate for HPZ lol
I stopped listening to Rancid after Indestructible but Rancid 2000 is my favorite of theirs.
Mr. Overrated is correct about Punk in Drublic
#SansSouci = Frenzal's best? No way. I am sure I could get a hold of Frenzal down here ;)
Why the hate for #LetTheDominoesFall? I would have it over this Rancid album ;)
"Hitchin a ride" is on Nimrod ;) But is also my favorite Green Day album
I agree with titty baby...punk in drublic is NOT a pop punk album....it's my fave nofx album tho
Yeah melodic hardcore for me
NOFX is Melodic Pop Punkcore
🤝

That Pink Flag album has a few absolute belters, but with 21 songs there are some filler too. But all done in 35 minutes :)
Two albums from the same band twice is kinda eh to me.
If I put only one album per band, I would have taken punk in drublic and dookie (it feels like blasphemy to say that) and replace them operation ivy and maybe 24 hour revenge therapy or Dear You by Jawbreaker
Descendents overrated...i agree.
Lol how do you have a channel called Punk Rock Radar and you’ve never heard Pink Flag…
I just started listening a few months ago, I’m learning
I have a punk rock band and never heard fuckinn Pink Flag...so i am totally fucked!
Cause the 80s onward is just much better.
