@@EJaDav any 2 ply coated head for the snare will work great. I use Evans HD Dry and it’s lasted me a good amount of time. For tuning I do bottom head table top tight and the top head I tune every lug high and then I loosen the bottom three lugs until it is about medium high tuning just so I can get some more body out of it while keeping a good crack sound as well. And to finish off, some good clean rimshots will get the job done. The pitch for the snare is 230Hz, if you have a tuning app on your phone it’ll help you out. Also I personally like the snare wires to be a little looser than usual and the deeper the shell the better. The snare in the vid is a 14x8 maple shell
