    You've avoided what most DIY channels do in spending half the video explaining the problem, the next quarter saying what they're going to do about it, and the last quarter actually delivering. Well done, concise and clear. And thanks, although my worktop is probably too thick at 4cm.

      Thank you for the compliment! You can find heavier duty c-channel online. I only used this for this piece because it was enough for the job and easy/cheap to source. You might also check electrical c-channel. I’ve used that on material as thick as you’re setting. It runs about $40 for a 10’ section at Home Depot.

    What if you need it flat and can't use c channel? Suggestions?

      You can use cross-grain planks like I used after the c-channel for the same effect, it just might need a bit more of it. Or a breadboard end (glue a cross grained strip at the end of it flush with the top and bottom.
