One thing I'd recommend is to advance the suction catheter tip just past the end of the ETT and hold suction as you deflate the cuff and pull the tube, It means any secretions that have pooled ontop of the cuff get sucked up straight away instead of pouring down into the airway. Otherwise good thorough demo

When I was still working, the standard golden rule was: extubation with at least 2 expert care providers in the same room as the patient, both of whom are also! authorized to re-intubate when necessary. Good video otherwise!
Great video but I would suggest placing vent in standby before you pull the tube and deflate cuff.

I’m confused as to why he couldn’t place the nasal cannula from the front of the face, behind the ears. Or the correct way.
This is done by physician right? Not nurses! Or respiratory therapist?
