I love your videos! I have been agnostic pretty much my whole life, but being involved in a Christian mom group and family group is the best thing I have done as a mom. I don’t know if I’m quite ready to call myself Christian, it’s been a 10+ year faith journey, but it’s women like you and my local moms that are a great example for someone like me who is still spiritually lost.
Never give up on your Christianity! God is leading the way! I hope you become found and not lost. Sounds as though you are taking wonderful baby steps towards a life of faith!! Best wishes to you!!
You have a lovely, accepting viewpoint, looking for a loving community rather than what you might agree with every single belief you think they have. I love the commonalities in kind, good people which I have found in various religious traditions, and I have attended worship with my Christian, Buddhist, and Hindu friends. I will visit others if invited. It is ok to go where you find love, love is love. I like the open acceptance this family exampifies while being so helpful to us no matter who we are even though they clearly have their own specific beliefs.

I’m an avid dawn watcher and not as religious but this video was definitely something I needed today. I’m 6 months pregnant with my first baby and stress is hard to keep at bay. The casual style of this video and one day at a time mentality made me feel so much better. Thank you
It’s great to hear that you have found peace and solace in a Christian moms group as someone who is currently agnostic or was! I definitely feel like each of our own walk with Christ is very personal. I think of myself more as a follower of Christ, than a mainstream Christian. There are just some beliefs that are touted as fact in what feels like an exclusive club that I just don’t feel a part of or want to join. But I listen to rabbis, I pray, and read the Bible, and like to have questions. I love listening to Diana. Diana, you make it so relatable and humbling, but also convicting and give something to think about in a gentle way.

Many of my mentors use a saying about "not making any decisions if you're halting. HALT: hungry, angry, lonely, or tired. I thought of that when you updated your list with "maybe I need a hug?"

Thank you for the sweet message today. To comment on the sheet hack - I have 2 sets of organic cotton sheets. They cost a lot so I won't be decluttering to only one set. But I usually wash one set and put them back on the bed. After a month or two I rotate so they don't get overused. I have grandkids who spend the night. I have have 3 bath towels so I have something for them. When I first started decluttering I had 4 sets of sheets, dozens of extra pillow cases, 10 bath towels and dozens of wash clothes and hand towels. I gave the extra to my daughter and can now say my cupboards have room to breathe.
I'm giggling over the tag on the upper right of the sheet.. ONLY BECAUSE I always thought of it on the Lower Left (double L's) 😂. Both work 😂
The tag goes on the bottom right side. It works. I also think you should have 2 sets of sheets for when one pair need to be washed and extra towels are always needed. Sometimes you need a little more. Taking walks every day is really good for your health and brain thoughts. Love you both together on videos !!

Having a church family is such a blessing. When my mom passed away the support was so comforting. I wrote 16 thank you notes just to the ladies that prepared a wonderful meal for our family after the service. As I said, such a blessing to have support and caring friends.❤
Being in a Bible Study in a group of eight women has exponentially improved my Bible comprehension and appreciation, and God has blessed me with Godly friends to encourage me in the Word and my motherhood also, along with community to thrive in our society. Thank-you !
So my daughter in love’s 3rd Christian fiction book is being released August 23rd. Think about supporting new authors and she is really good!(no prejudice) 😊 Her first two books won a Christy Award and book of the year! Her name is Amanda Cox and the one coming out this month is titled “He Should Have Told the Bees” . Happy Reading!
This is so wise for you, Diana! I love that you are intentionally forming your community. I have been struggling myself with finding a local community. The amount of improvements in my life from both of you in my life, has brought me closer to God and simplicity and joy. In January I started listening to the Bible Recap. I started just listening, but in (about) March I began to "read" before I played the Recap. I feel better now because I am getting a better connection. Thanks for sharing your views.

Verity is amazing 👏 I recently became convicted to come back to Christianity and for the first time grow a relationship with God and Jesus. I've spent the past 2 years exploring my spirituality through more new age practices but realise I've been dancing around what I really need. I agree with you about social media. I quit FB when I got pregnant with my 4th. I just didn't want to devote one more minute of my time to that anymore. I felt much better.
I'm the same way w/you Dawn! Especially over Covid! It's like "having a friend over," in my Kitchen while I'm doing the dishwasher, etc. 💝🥰
I started a Mom's in Prayer group in my little hometown about 20 yrs ago and have been in 3 different groups as we've moved. The most recent group is for empty nest moms. I vote 1000% for you following your call to start one by you!!
I love reading historical fiction (my favorite genre), I get so wrapped up in the stories and then I realize I learned something in history! Ken Follett is amazing at this!

Thank you ladies!! Facebook was causing me a lot of depression and anxiety so I stopped using it several years ago. It has been so life giving not accessing it anymore. Also, not over consuming the news has been definitely needed in my life. And definitely making it a habit to be in the Word. ❤
I had the same issues with Facebook and insta! I finally had to make the break and have not missed it. Minimally I have wished I had it for market place but look at all the money I’m saving 🤣 snort. I taught myself how to read Biblical Hebrew in my spare time when I went off social. And now am learning modern Hebrew! Social media sucks time and leaves a nasty feeling in its place 😞
I love that your prayer here includes a mention of church hurt. If more Christians took that seriously and took some ownership of it- to apologize and correct behaviors and hold each other accountable, there would be a lot more practicing Christians.
I love the Bible Recap and I paired it with my new weight loss plan in March and it has been a game changer for me. That is such great hack and advice.

Quite a few years ago I was convicted about how I could stay up so late to keep reading my book…. It occurred to me I wasn’t reading just a few sentences and trying so hard to figure out what the author might have meant-I was just reading thru to enjoy it (fiction or non-fiction). I bought a “chronological “ Bible and started reading (prayerfully) like I would any book-big chunks for fun! God is so faithful to connect things and teach me over time!! Try it!

We spent a Christmas with the flu. All of us. We took turns puking. My son laying on the bathroom floor saying Mooom can you bring a present in here for me to open. Memories.
My Mother’s Of Preschoolers group MOPs was exactly what I needed during that season of my life. Ironically, so many of the same moms continued to be in my life in other areas as our children grew. It was a tremendous blessing. You may want to see if there is a group in your area.

When I have questions about my Bible reading, sometimes I'll ask someone who knows more than I do about understanding it, but sometimes they don't know either! So I start praying for understanding, knowing that God loves me and cares about how I feel when I don't get it. Sometimes answers take time, but answers just come to me when I'm doing what I should: consistently trying. He does care!

I love the life hacks especially since we recently had company so I had to wash all the bedding. For some reason I thought the tag on the fitted sheet went on the bottom left when facing the bed. The worst sheets are the ones with elastic all the way around the sheet. Forget folding! I love the idea of only having 1 set of sheets per bed. Your life of faith and family is so beautiful. I paused the video because I had to look at the recommended books list. I wanted to see if the Yada Yada Prayer Group was on it- and it is! This series has been the best Christian fiction series I have ever "read". I am listening to the audiobook version and the narrator is so good. I have been laughing and crying my way through it. Not to mention, it has given me a lot to think about with my own prayer life- growth. The Broken Road by Richard Paul Evans and The Water Keeper by Charles Martin are also really good book series. Thank you for the other recommendations too. 😊

Growing up we just had family towels. There were 6 of us in a dinky 900 sf house with only one bathroom. I remember smelling the towel to see if it was clean enough to use for my shower (I was the oldest child btw) Eww!!
Now I live alone in a 2 bathroom 1400 sf house! However, I do only have one set of sheets for my bed (yes, just one bed in my mini mansion!)
Still to this day I love getting a bag of clothes! When my sister or cousins go through their closets and share the wealth ☺

There was a book by Derek Prince that I was reading about prayer, Secrets of a Prayer Warrior. That book, I finished in just a few days. It is so purposeful! I felt like I underlined so many key concepts in it. It reminded me of how much I love sitting by the fire at night, reading in dim light before bed and falling asleep. Praying before bed after reading is wonderful too.
And you’re right! We are counter-culture :). We’re like the modern hippies! All about peace and love, and salvation and humility. It makes me think of the Jesus revolution movie. I haven’t seen it. Hearing about people having a revival is so life giving, freeing and encouraging. I love listening to devotional hymns too, they bring such comfort. Love!

I have to say I absolutely LOVE your videos. My 24 yr old son will say he doesn’t want kids because of the horrible world we are living in yet I’ve said since the dawn of time and look at the way the world was when Jesus was born in to. It’s all how we stay connected and have faith. I wrote to you before how our family was hurt deeply by a pastor and have since found a new church. I still have doubts and concerns about organized religion but you help me stay strong and continue to feel good about spiritual ways and helps me stay connected to my faith and the good of Jesus and true christians who practice what they preach you are a living example.

Bed sheets 🛌…. I have one spare set of sheets for most beds in my house and a couple extra for my daughter’s bed. But we have a dedicated drawer in each bedroom for sheets or extra blankets to fit in that way they are in the room with the bed they belong too so there’s no mix up.
I am so thankful for Diana’s comment some time ago about a technology sabbath. So much good can come out of it.

When did I learn to fold fitted sheets? hmmm My mother was NOT good at teaching useful knowledge! lol Possibly my next oldest sister taught me... there were five of us. Everything was hand-me-downs. Oh! I had clever hacks for sheets though! Keep the guest room set (in the hall closet if there is no guest room) hung over a hangar. Then your guest (or anyone! Your older kids, your husband, YOU!) can find it in the night! I love that. And there's the shove all of the sheets into the pillowcase and keep it with extra towels, TP, in a linen closet that is accessible to all.
Oh, that was what I was going to say first, our Book Club meeting last night, our book was the Good Earth. We did not rate that book very high! But we all came away feeling glad that we'd read it.
