Thanks for this video. I used to have a very structured routine. Life happened and so did the structure. I can attest when there is structure and a routine, we all did better, physically and mentally. I do enjoy reading and it's hard to find the time anymore. We adopted our twin granddaughters and they are 7. It's always run, run, run. It's similar to running a 5k backwards. Artificial sweeteners do cause muscle cramp and restless leg, on top of that, it causes memory loss. My favorite fictionbooks have to be the Amish ones. Reading the Bible, I think, helps with sleep, not because it's boring and puts you to sleep, but because it brings peace and hope and you are never alone, He's right there with you, He's my Savior and I can close my eyes with comfort for whatever life brings my way.
So helpful. I love reading Grace Livingston Hill Christian romance novels before bed. She’s from the late 1800s to early 1900s and she includes a clear plan on how to be saved in almost every single novel. They’re super clean and Christ centered. I’m in my mid 40s and have been reading them since 14 or 15. I’m never disappointed. Just thought I’d share in case anyone might want another idea they maybe haven’t heard of before.😊
I have loved these books for 40 years (yes, I'm "old"!) I had a huge collection of the books but lost all of them when our basement, where I stored the collection, flooded. I was so excited when I found a lot of them on Kindle for a reasonable charge. Such wonderful books, and I agree with you; they are very clean and Christ centered.
@@tacos_are_life I hope you can find some of them. Not long ago both Kindle and Apple Books had a couple for free. Apple has some for $.99 also. I truly hope you enjoy them as much as I still do. I’m in the middle of one right now!! Blessings!
My cut off for caffeine was 32…..years old. If I drink coffee pretty much ever, I can’t sleep!!! All I drink is decaf. I’m officially becoming my mom and fully embracing it. Love you videos!! You two are a ray of sunshine ☀️
Girls, I wake up listening to you both in the morning, evening and throughout the night. Lol, love both of your giggle/laughs. Feel connected because both of you are so genuine, such fun! Love your tips and hints and family togetherness. Like the 5 minute routine, all matters and counts. Learning so much toward minimal living. It's always a win win life as i am moving forward in life. Thank you so much. May Our Lord bless all of you and your familes forever in Jesus Christ's Holy name. Amen...
Hi Diana! You are such a ray of sunshine into my day! I love you and Dawn so much! I have been watching your channels for so long. My mom came into the room and saw me watching your video and she just said “ You love them, don’t you:)” ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I heartily agreed !
Sometimes what I do is go outside and walk in the grass with no shoes this is also known as grounding or earthing and I have noticed a huge difference in sleeping as well!
The things that help my morning most are the preparations that reduce decision-making. I have a list, so I don't even need to remember the morning routine. I check tomorrow's weather forecast and pick out my clothes for the next day, down to the earrings, and put them by the bedroom chair where I sit to put shoes on. I pack my lunch for work if it will be a work day. I have a list of the day's events and to-do's prepared ahead of time. I even set out the things I need to feed the cats, so that goes faster. My mornings go more smoothly... but now I struggle to get to bed as early as I need to, because I have so many things to do before bedtime. :-\
I am always amazed by people who can read before bed!! If I touch a book, I can't put it down. I'm known for barely sleeping when I pick up book to read. Audio books help because I can set a timer for it to turn off and turn off the light while I listen. I can't fall asleep to the tv either - terrified of missing something I guess lol. My husband easily falls asleep watching tv.
For the last couple years I don't keep my phone in my room. Because then I hear all the notifications. Before I go into my room I turned everything off and I just and sitting still in the living room just being quiet. Almost feels like I'm diffusing and soaking up those moments with the Lord in silence. Couple years ago I was challenged to be able to be still and sit still and I can remember how hard that was. Now those are moments I Savor just to be quiet to be still before the Lord with no agenda. When you were talking about washing your face. I actually know the lady that never put soap on her face and she had the most beautiful skin. Thank you so much what you share Diana it's always packed with wisdom and insight and joy. You and your sister together are so fun thank you for being a blessing and sharing all that you do with us. We appreciate you so much. So excited for you and your family and upcoming baby. I have to do more listening these days than a lot of reading. My eyes are still having problems after a car accident. And I need to get a big print Bible I think that might help my eyes at is having difficulty.
Lots of good ideas and I never tire of you two together and laughing. Seriously I giggle along with you. One night routine for me is about 8:00 no screens but I put in my earbuds and listen to an audio book. It’s a way to be lightly entertained, rest my eyes and start to wind down. Thanks!
I get up early (4:45) so I have an alarm that goes off at 8:45. I brush my teeth, wash my face, tidy up a bit and then I have the encounter app, it’s a Christian meditation, that I listen to. They’re about 15 minutes long and I am asleep 90% of the time before it is over.
I´ve been praying every night before I fall sleep since I was a little girl, the same prayers my Grandma tought me and I can´t fall asleep without praying, just knowing God is watching over me and my family gives me the peace I need to sleep, great video Girls! you are both so funny and lovely, I am looking forward for the next video, greetings
Our family has benefited from using magnesium lotion from Earthley about 20 minutes before bed. It is called good night lotion. It has made a big difference in our bedtime routine. You only need a pea sized amount on the belly or legs. Very helpful!
I feel as though my routine just got thrown away. I am in school and this year has been so extremely busy so , ( I am not proud in saying this) I let my bible reading go on the back burner and prioritized school. Then when I do have free time , I spent it bingeing RUclips… for a long amounts of time. Before school got so busy, I was doing the Bible recap ( which I L O V E by the way!!) and I had never felt more full with joy and knowledge and filled with a relationship with the Lord. I realllly miss that. But right now, during one of another RUclips binge session, I clicked on this video. And I know you two are busy yourselves too, but this just INSPIRED me beyond inspiring to get back at it. Thank you for sharing your personal routines, I know they will help me get back on track. So Bible reading and The Bible Recap and Tara- Leigh Cobble… I am coming back! Thank you Dawn and Diana. I hope this inspires some others as well to get back on track 💕💕💕
It's so sad, but there are a lot of things we can't do anymore as we age. I can't have popcorn because I have diverticulitis and it can trigger an episode. I haven't had any pop/soda for 30+ years except the occasional treat which is about 6 times a year. I have coffee 1-2 times a year for a treat. I now have to break all sugar and grain eating habits. It's really debilitating to my heart and high blood pressure. My ankles swell and I have more aches and pains than usual. It's almost like I wish I'd never had it in my life, maybe then I wouldn't miss it (but that's not the world we live in). I agree about the time to wash my face at night. When I worked (I'm retired) I had a routine of doing it as soon as I was home from work. I try to do it at that time still or it just won't happen. By 9:00 pm nothing else can happen except rest. Lots of things have happened in the world so we all have excess stress and lots of uncertainty. I sleep pretty well so I'm thankful for that. Congratulations on your baby girl. Can't wait!
Bible recap every morning I listen to the scripture first then listen to the pod cast while getting ready to go. Every night before bed I pack my lunch get my work bag ready place my uniform shoes etc in my bathroom ready to go while in there I wash my face brush my teeth take BP pill. I’ll watch a few of my favorites on RUclips at night but I’m very selective and try not to scroll usually fall asleep before finishing. God Bless each of you continue to use your talents for our Lord. “ Well done my Good and faithful servant “
The rest of the world dont even know the word Load- Shedding...in SA currently our power supply is not sufficient so we are forced to make use of solar, generators and candles alot of the time...keep in mind our winter has just started ...I am going to make the most of this frustration and start to enjoy the candle light now... The two of you are amazing!! Thank you for sharing faith in JesusChrist and putting a ever changing world with some good balance...may you and your families be blessed and keep on gifting us with your wonderful selves !!
Soooo… I’m watching this at 11p before I go to bed! Perhaps 🤔 a book is in order tomorrow night. Thanks to both of you for awesome suggestions… and humor! Lisa
Great input. Thank you! To everybody! Bedtime routine-- for me, the same time every. single. night. All week long. Same time for brushing teeth, jammies, washing face. Then lights out within a half hour window, same timing every night of the week. Every. single. night. Oh! And the twelve book series A.D. Chronicles, by Brock and Bodie Thoene is TOPS!!! (This minimalista actually BOUGHT all 12 books because I re read them every decade. SOooo good.)
Ok, so I chucked because just last week I was commenting to my friends that I am 49 and have never had a nighttime routine for removing makeup. They were all shocked and said "but you have such beautiful skin! "(and I still look young!) It may not work for everyone, but it works for this gal! My makeup comes off every few days when I wash my hair in the shower, and then it goes back on. Who knows!
Thanks for enriching so many lives! We all need friends these days, and that is the feeling I have when watching either or both of you. My all time favorite fiction is the Mitford series by Jan Karon. There is also a series by Michael Phillips - The Secret of the Rose - that I have read multiple times over the years. Blessings.
I recently started running the dishwasher before bed regardless if it's completely full or not... what a game changer!! Helps reset the kitchen at night by putting those last minute dishes in and also makes for a nice part of the morning routine - emptying the dishwasher. At night, I always take magnesium - helps SO much with relaxing to fall asleep, and I also have to read fiction before falling asleep - it's a little luxury - the house is quiet, no one needs me, and I can read uninterrupted and without guilt!
I'm a mom of 5 and struggle to stick to a routine. My mom never had routines for us, so I think that's why. We do life ok though, but are usually late for everything, unfortunately.
I love when the 2 of you do videos! The Diet Coke/restless legs tidbit is interesting. Dawn, your hair is so cute! Diana, congrats on another sweet baby girl!
I listen to my audio book every night. It relaxes me and I fall asleep. I love audio books. I listen to them free from the library. When I discovered that I was so happy. I am hooked on books again. Great video.
I have wanted to start a bedtime routine but I haven't been able to nail one down. I do my bible reading (TBR) at lunchtime and after I listen to TLC, I read my beautiful study bible (recommended by Dawn). Thank you for the tips - I think I will have to nail one down and soon! I would like a restful night's sleep!
I enjoyed this. I definitely like to clean my kitchen each evening. So nice to get up to a clean kitchen!! Then t.v. Off at 10:00, face, teeth, and Amish book ends my day.
You gals together are just the best! You have brought SO much encouragement to my life, & practical tips for my walk with God- I’m deeply thankful for you both! 😊🙏♥️
I love dwell as well. Especially if I’m having trouble falling asleep and having trouble shutting my brain down, I like to set the timer on dwell listen while I trying to fall asleep. It a wonderful way to shut down worry and change my focus. Especially with our wacky daylight hours in Alaska those nighttime routines are important. I always teased my husband about his closing the blinds and declaring in night, but it not only helped the kids wind down but it did us as well.
I've been reading my kids' series about cats called "Warriors". It's so cute and entertaining and not offensive or inappropriate. My 9 y.o. son loves the books and it's nice to talk to him about them.
I go to bed , turn on the TV and a movie I've seen many times, then set the sleep timer for 30 minutes. Since I've seen the movie so often I'm not compelled to pay attention and just gradually fall asleep ( very often I don't make it through the opening credits) If I don't do this the minute I turn out the lights I start thinking about what needs doing the next day, next thing I'm turning on the lights and start list making, and sometimes get back up to do a couple little things to get a headstart on the next day. Love that sleep timer!
“The throne before the phone” that’s my daily morning Motto! It makes me remember I need Time in the Word before ANYTHING else but especially before my phone. “Revive Our Hearts podcast with Nancy Lee Demoss Wogelmouth” Is a wonderful teaching ministry for women & girls of all ages. You both are a blessing and I am a weekly follower of both of your channels! My husband gets a kick out of Tom & his channel. (We are 55 & 58)And I’m sure we could all be friends😉🤗❤️😘🌸🙏🫶🏻🙌
I have to be careful what I read. I have a favorite fiction book series that is relaxing, but the books are so exciting I can't stop reading....awakes me instead of putting me to sleep. Actually can't even start reading early in the night! I read Christian devotion books and list gratitude for the day.
Diana, you have a glow about you lately.🙂congrats on your new baby girl! 😁🎊🌻 thank you for another great and relavent video! You guys are great! 😁 God bless you all! 🌻
I am one of those weirdos that doesnt require a lot of sleep each night to function during the day! So I would go to sleep when I thought I should and would be awake so often during the night! I would be stressed about not being able to get to sleep! And when you need to get to sleep because you have to be up early the next morning, your body doesnt seem to want to cooperate!! I was praying asking God to help me sleep and give me wisdom in what I needed to add, take away or change in order to sleep better! Instead of stressing that I only had 3 hours before I needed to get up to get ready for work, I would pray and say thank you for the sleep that You know I need to function tomorrow!!! It helped me to be more calm and peaceful!! Also I figured that instead of laying awake in bed for a long time, I should maybe stay up longer! So I was awake till later and then not awake as much during the night! It has been and continues to be trial and error!! Also I was watching you tube in bed, falling asleep, then waking up and putting my computer on the table. I was then wide awake!! So now I dont watch you tube in bed! Only on the couch before I get into bed! My mom reminded me that she sleeps on a magnetic pad and that helps with tension, aches and pain! Praying and inviting God into my sleep routine has been a huge help too!! I am so grateful that even though I dont get a lot of sleep, that God gives me the strength, energy and alterness to thrive each day!!! :)
Love this so much. Thanks ladies. I loved white collar too. I watched that a couple of times. 😁 I am looking forward to the book ideas. I have been wanting to make a new need to read fiction books. And before bed is a good reminder to actually relax. Thanks ladies. Love your channels so much. 💕💕💕💕
Thanks for the prayer at the end of the video. I haven't had a decent/restful night's sleep in over 2 weeks. I have struggled with insomnia for years but not this badly. It's taking a toll on me physically and mentally. I would appreciate any prayers. 🙏
For me it's noise. Once I shut everything down and the house becomes quiet and calm, so do I. Reading (my bible and favorite devotionals) gives me a sense of peace. Food after 6 pm means a restless night's sleep. Plus, I wake up feeling anxious. Lately, I've been wondering if I could live w/o my computer. I spend far too much time on it.
I wake up like that also. I have started to concentrate when I wake up on diaphragmatic breathing. Ten breaths, let the anxious thoughts slide in and on by. It helps me.
I've done that too: contacts and glasses. 😀 I work day-, evening and nightshift irregulary, part time. So it can be challenging to keep routines. Yet it is having routines that makes it all workable. My husband and I usually go early to bed ( 8:30 pm). So by 6pm I do some stretches, unmake the bed, mini shower and face care. Then I prep for next day. Last I join my husband for the news, before brushing teeth and go to bed. Sounds awfully boring, I know. I like boring, it's peaceful.
You girls don’t know this, but I feel like we would be best friends. ❤️I so appreciate your videos, and this one was one I really needed. Life has been so busy lately with our six kids, a lot of wonderful church involvement, friendships, family, all the things… I’ve just let myself fall out of consistency with the Word, and a disciplined night routine. Thanks for the inspiration! Wish we could hang out in real life!
I meditate, for sleep and pain management. Seems to work ok so far. Something new I have started. Listening to calming music, my husband plays soft music on his guitar at the end of the bed. Love it, it calms me right down and I sleep like a baby!
Love hanging out with you ladies! I watched a video about monks - bare with me - apparently, they have to be able to sleep in some uncomfortable places, and it was said that you shouldn't have anything in the room other than a bed. (Most people wouldn't really abide by that.) But, the thing that was said that I found most helpful was to always fall asleep thinking about things you're grateful for. They said the last thing you think of at night is the first thing your brain thinks of in the morning - whether that's true or not, it was a pleasant thought. :)
I had to laugh. I'm 64 and NEVER wash my face at night. But I also haven't worn makeup since I was in my 20's or 30's. My skin is naturally oily, and I have less wrinkles than anyone else I know my age. Oh, and I've been using the same face soap in the mornings since I was 12. Such a creature of habit!
I usually fall asleep right after praying, sometimes I don’t even get to finish. Other times It’s just not happening I can’t sleep. So I have to go downstairs and read. You guys are great!!
This video is so on point. I had started to think on these things over the last few months and i can attest to the candle light making me feel sleepy at night. I thought it was because of the flickering.
I can watch RUclips before bed, but I can NOT scroll Instagram or TikTok. Like you said, the fast information change keeps my mind racing all night. I prefer fiction and have felt a bit guilty that it’s nearly all I read. Now I feel better! Thanks!
Dawn, Please consider getting a wood burning stove. It is a sense of security to know if the grid goes you can keep your family warm and the added benefit is enjoying it in the mean time. Nothing warms you like the warmth of a fire. Nothing!
I started reading fiction books on my work breaks and on my lunch hour. I noticed that it did relax me. I can't read in bed or watch RUclips because I usually fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.
Same with the noon caffeine cutoff; i drink 2 Premier protein shakes in the morning I mix the coffee and chocolate flavors for a 2 g of sugar low calorie protein dense mocha replacement, much better for my wallet, hunger, and waistline...or the occasional soda. I only drink soda if I am having fast food maybe 60 oz or less in a month. usually on hectic errand days. At sitdown restaurants I drink unsweet iced tea with one packet of sweetener so I don't feel deprived but I'm not sparking my old soda habit, keepd my sugar intake low, but is a nice departure from my religious water consumption. But sometimes with decaf tea in the colder months I push it to 3PM...
This is a great video! Two routines are game changers for me: historical fiction (paper or Kindle) at night! And every morning (if I miss the morning, I miss it altogether) The Bible Recap reading plan (YouVersion audio along with my paper Bible) and S.O.A.P. in a journal. Thank you Dawn and Diana for introducing me to TBR and Diana for enthusing me about SOAP!
Probably shouldn’t say this out loud, but I like a glass of wine after work… however… it gives me restless legs too. Sucketh!!! So if you like a relaxing drink after work and your legs suck at night… maybe have some camomile tea instead. AND Totally clean the kitchen first thing in the morning - it’s like my reset time. I waft around there, stacking the dishwasher and making coffee until my brain catches up. Then I can get going and start waking the family.
Love both of you and appreciate all your videos! I especially love how you pray over us so awesome thank you! PS I always felt you look so beautiful but pregnancy really really glows on you!
This was WONDERFUL. You both make me feel so "normal" bc I can relate to so many things that you have mentioned. Bue light/screens actually hurt my eyes at night and I have anxiety dreams a lot and still do not know why so I try to read my fiction book if I can manage to stay awake...).. so no t.v. or eating close to sleep time. I can't sleep if I've eaten too close to bedtime. Dawn, I'm the same way about thinking on scripture right before I fall asleep AND I fail to ever even wash my face and my skin is great ( maybe bc I don't wear make up ) so it's all good. I'm also totally exhausted by 6pm so a LOT gets done in the a.m. Dawn your hair looks great styled that way!! and Diana, that top is pretty on you!! SO interesting about that red light...
So, if I walk while reading & sipping tea, I will fall asleep when my head touches my pillow? 🤣 Great content! I love your entire family. You are beautiful examples of a loving, respect family. I watch your videos every day! (I also love Dana K & Cas!!!)
Loved White Collar! A routine makes all the difference. Listening to the verse of the day video on the YouVersion Bible is also a great way to start or end the day.
Thank you for the great video. Learned so much about caffeine today. I am going to turn off the TV at 9 from now on! Scripture to start and end the day sounds perfect. Have a great week!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the blessing, Diana. I am a hot mess when it comes to bedtime. I'm a night-person but I can really see the harm I'm causing myself by not getting 8 hours of sleep! I'll try some of your suggestions and get a routine set up. Thanks!
😂 hahaha well, I have all kinds of alarms to tell me to turn off electronics, wind down, get ready for bed… and I hit them and carry on… When I actually do get to bed I can be out in 30 seconds or a minute… easy to fall asleep. I’ve always been like that. My Problem is RUclips 😮😢 like right now I turned off all the channels for what is happening with the War in Ukraine & Russia, the flooding on the whole Atlantic Coast, minimizing, hoarding the last 2 nights… And Time Flies By… and going to bed really really late. Like now it is 11:13 pm over here in my neck of the woods. I’m trying to remember if I did my Bible Day Text today, and my Bible Reading… So I think that is what I am going to do right after this. Checked ~ nope didn’t do either today. So off I go. You know with the world so crazy right now, it is so nice to finish off the day with you two… Thanks for all of this. Good night girls ❤😊🎉
Ohmigoodness, Diana, I needed this one, thank you! For more reasons than one, I've not been getting successful nights sleep and needed the reminder how important it truly is and how preparing for it is even more important. So thank you sooo much! Cheers to great sleep, as God would advise. ;)
Getting off screens is the most important. I fall asleep the fastest when I read scripture - you know where that is coming from!!!! My favorite fiction is The Mitford Series by Jan Karon. Diana, can you direct me to the instructions you gave to get "My reading app synced" on the Bible Version. I still can't get it set right. I read the paper bible, but sometimes I need to access a day on my phone. Thanks. Love you guys, Sherry
Hi Sherry! We're working on getting a numbered calendar PDF to make this process easier. Shoot me an email at diana(at)dianakokku.com and we'll get it to you!!
This is exciting…I have not typically been a reader of fiction, but earlier this week I asked a friend from church if I could borrow some of her fiction books. Now I know they will be beneficial in reducing stress! 😀❤️
🙏🌟💚🌎✨ thank you for the explanations and inspirations both of you :) I noticed since I forced me to go outside everyday, even a little bit, it helps me a lot to feel more relax in the evening :) the impact of fiction book is amazing :) morning and evenings God messages are really a feeling helping to understand a lot, to face how to evolve.., thank you for reminding us things, as when situations can be different sometimes, we can tend to feel confused sometimes in fact, thank you for your sharing such messages 🙏🌟 and congratulations for the sweet child arriving :) 🤗💓
I would love suggestions for getting your husband on board with turning off the TV. I have said so many times I don't want to watch on school nights but he seems to forget that frequently. Also how to explain to teens so they don't fight about wanting to be on computers every night. I am thinking we should all watch this video together as a family. 😉
Reading/listening to Bible or sermons. That helps me so much. But these ideas are really great and I will be implementing quite a few of them! Thank you.
Thanks for this video. I used to have a very structured routine. Life happened and so did the structure. I can attest when there is structure and a routine, we all did better, physically and mentally. I do enjoy reading and it's hard to find the time anymore. Reading at night is a must for me! Unfortunately, i haven’t learned the fine art of putting the book down to go to sleep!
So helpful.

Thank you for the suggestion! I will look her up on my library app. 😊
@@gennymcivor5647 It’s my favorite “down time” thing to do still! Hopefully you can grab you one and read them again!😊
@@tacos_are_life I hope you can find some of them. Not long ago both Kindle and Apple Books had a couple for free. Apple has some for $.99 also. I truly hope you enjoy them as much as I still do. I’m in the middle of one right now!! Blessings!
I have All My Energy in the Morning 🌄 😌 Evening 's are winding down. I do set the coffee ☕️ for next Morning 🌄

This is so sweet… thank you ☺️💛
Sometimes what I do is go outside and walk in the grass with no shoes this is also known as grounding or earthing and I have noticed a huge difference in sleeping as well!
Why am I crying over dawn talking about the shriveled plant? I relate too!!! But the best part is God is always there waiting for you. ❤️❤️❤️
The things that help my morning most are the preparations that reduce decision-making. I have a list, so I don't even need to remember the morning routine. Love White Collar!
Will try to read more at night. The stress of the world around us is unstable, but we can be grounded in the word
I am always amazed by people who can read before bed!! If I touch a book, I can't put it down. I'm known for barely sleeping when I pick up book to read. I love fun kid’s chapter books. I’m 52, and this kind of reading stimulates my imagination and makes me feel young:)

Yes to candles!!! Weve been trying to save money on heating by lighting candles for warmth and comfort my kids love it❤
We loved White Collar! It's a fascinating series. Congrats, Diana, for your baby girl news! Pregnancy brain is a real thing. 🤣
This is great!! Haven’t heard of this before… thank you ☺️💛
Thanks for sharing this Leslie Bowman! Is it a natural product?
@@shannonmcmullen3916 it is all natural. Uses essential oils. All certified organic ingredients.
@@lesliebowman6021 Thanks Leslie! I'm excited to give it a try!!!😊
Can't wait!
Robert Whitlow is a great author with a Biblical Worldview! I can't get enough of his stories at night.
Lisa
Reading to the kids before bed. (Mostly kid devos-but occasionally some fun chapter cliffhanger books.) Also prayers before bed, too!
I love listening to you two. What wonderful people you are. Thank you.
Who knows!
Twins Double Delight 😊 Diana & Dawn We Love ❤️ You Borh ❤️ From Callie Girl
Reading at night puts me right to sleep. It is great.
In college I had to study early in the day. I was never able to study at night.
What is TBR and TLC?
@@sibongilethwala7080 The Bible Recap and Tara-Leigh Cobble :)
I read the Bible in the morning!
I enjoyed this. I definitely like to clean my kitchen each evening. So nice to get up to a clean kitchen!! Then t.v. Off at 10:00, face, teeth, and Amish book ends my day.
Fantastic per usual!! I believe the older we get the more we realize the importance of spending time with the Lord💙💙💙
You gals together are just the best! You have brought SO much encouragement to my life, & practical tips for my walk with God- I’m deeply thankful for you both! 😊🙏♥️
I always turn on the light over the stove, even if I don't need it, and don't turn it off until I've turned off the stove or oven.
I am reading 2 Chairs from Bob Beaudine. I need to stop the youtube binge at night....LOL
Starting my day with scripture helps me sleep better😇
“The throne before the phone” that’s my daily morning Motto! It makes me remember I need Time in the Word before ANYTHING else but especially before my phone. “Revive Our Hearts podcast with Nancy Lee Demoss Wogelmouth” Is a wonderful teaching ministry for women & girls of all ages. You both are a blessing and I am a weekly follower of both of your channels! My husband gets a kick out of Tom & his channel. (We are 55 & 58)And I’m sure we could all be friends😉🤗❤️😘🌸🙏🫶🏻🙌
Yes, the throne before the phone!!!! This is great!! I've been trying to do this too...it's been amazing!!!
I love that “Throne before the phone” easy to remember too! Thanks for sharing!
I'll admit, I thought you meant the porcelain "throne" at first.... but the throne you're actually talking about is so much better!
@@joyindrelie6715 Hahahahaha, great minds think alike! My first thought also was the porcelain one.
You took the words right out of my mouth! Ditto! Totally. 😆💞
I have to be careful what I read. I have a favorite fiction book series that is relaxing, but the books are so exciting I can't stop reading....awakes me instead of putting me to sleep. Actually can't even start reading early in the night! I read Christian devotion books and list gratitude for the day.
If a book is really exciting, I have to have a different "bedtime" book and try to read the exciting one only in short moments throughout the day.
Loved White Collar! Talk about examining redemption and forgiveness
Diana, you have a glow about you lately.🙂congrats on your new baby girl! 😁🎊🌻 thank you for another great and relavent video! You guys are great! 😁 God bless you all! 🌻
Thank you for your sweet encouragement, it means a lot! ☺️💛
My boys and I watched White Collar years ago. We loved that show.
Good info. Thanks as I lay down with my screen in my face. Old and retired though. No routine in the mornings. 😜 (Love White Collar)
No matter what time I go to bed I have to do some reading. My husband goes right to sleep, though he doesn't like the light on.
I always have a hard time stopping reading a good fiction book and so I stay up super late reading lol
My night time routine is crap and my days reflect that. Thanks for reminding me that I am better off being disciplined about bedtime.
I meditate, for sleep and pain management. Seems to work ok so far. Something new I have started. Listening to calming music, my husband plays soft music on his guitar at the end of the bed. Love it, it calms me right down and I sleep like a baby!
Wow! How nice!
How precious
Love hanging out with you ladies!
I watched a video about monks - bare with me - apparently, they have to be able to sleep in some uncomfortable places, and it was said that you shouldn't have anything in the room other than a bed. (Most people wouldn't really abide by that.) But, the thing that was said that I found most helpful was to always fall asleep thinking about things you're grateful for. They said the last thing you think of at night is the first thing your brain thinks of in the morning - whether that's true or not, it was a pleasant thought. :)
This is really good! Thank you for sharing!!
Love your vlogs . I can see you and your sister have a good relationship . Have an easy delivery and good health to you and your families .
I usually fall asleep right after praying, sometimes I don’t even get to finish. Other times It’s just not happening I can’t sleep. So I have to go downstairs and read. You guys are great!!
Last year I did the Bible recap and this year I am doing the Bible in a Year with Father Mike. Both are great!
Mareilla of Green Gable by: Sarah McCoy, is my current book that I have been reading this month.
Nothing!
Great content. Thank you 🙏🏻
Many blessings to you both!
Ooh I loved White Collar!! Binged it earlier this year with all the late night breast feeding.
Thanks so much for sharing ❤
Love both of you and appreciate all your videos! I especially love how you pray over us so awesome thank you! PS I always felt you look so beautiful but pregnancy really really glows on you!
Dawn!!! You got a new headboard!!! I was surprised!
I noticed this too.
She has a whole video on her channel about this.
Not eating, great reminder!! And thanks for your kind encouragement 💛☺️
Would love to have the link Dawn referred to regarding fiction reading and stress.
Definitely going to try this I am always on my phone in the bed and I don’t sleep well at all hopefully I can do this!!
This was really helpful and encouraging. I love watching you guys. You make my day better. ♥️
I set my phone to the lowest blue light setting and turned my brightness down a ways. Works great! Low💙
Such a good video!
Thanks ladies!
Thank you.
Such a wonderful video. It’s always a blessing to watch you … you all make me laugh. Thank you and God bless!
