Mini round balers will work on compact tractors. The mini square balers for a 25+ hp tractor cost about $25K. I paid $8K for an Ibex brand twine wrap mini baler. The mini net wrap balers are about $10K...so less than half the cost of a mini square baler for a compact tractor. I debated getting a net wrap, but prefer the twine wrap because I can use hemp twine and just throw the bale over the fence and not worry if the sheep/goats eat the twine - safe to consume and will eventually compost.
