- I have not added any new video on the channel for a very long time due to not wanted to spoil but i guess i could just post some of the nightmare mode related video to show that its still in progress its just too big for it to be done quickly as they are plenty of new things in this mode including 2 new separate apartment buildings and school connected via portal that player can move in between via different methods..

I almost forgot that Saiko is dead in this mode. But even Akira's attacker is gone now and she can no longer cause trouble for him anymore, he still develops nightmare about Saiko. Really sad, he seriously needs help.
In addition, this mode sounds more interesting. New location, Shinji is seen as an undead and looks like he might be a threat to the player in this... I look foward to play this mode.
So then I assume yangire mode is a mode where Saiko survived if you get that ending in terms of lore

Being traumatized by Saiko, hearing Shinji scream in agony as saiko beheads him, watching her die trying to prevent his escape, all manifested as a nightmare due to the ptsd he gained throughout all of the events.
yeah, i feel bad for Akira, imagine that he even saw his best friend decapitated...
He needs saikologist.

Ask me it more in line with someone suffering survivors guilt. In war and other things people often have nightmares of their attacker. Hell when i was a kid came from a abusive family where my dad cut my forehead. I had constant nightmares as a kid where my birth dad would come back to try and kill me again. Only way them nightmares stopped was my adoptive dad showing me his guns and saying if he tries to get you i will kill him. Akiras friend killed by his girlfriend and her dying in front of him would very much likely lead to survivors guilt.

At this point I just feel bad for Akira even after escaping her sinister clutches he still suffers from the torment and horror Saiko put him through 😔. . .
Aside from that I cant wait till Nightmare mode comes out!😄

Looks like our theories were right. And it really will be the main character's nightmare. Or maybe even just his hallucinations from what he saw at school.
But so far it looks very interesting :3 .
You can't believe how excited I am for this, having not seen or heard any news about it since the two teasers you'd shared back in August/September I was starting to fear for the worst.

Who knows what other contents it may receive, if they can top nightmare mode some time in the future, props to them
Habupain said this would be the last big update, so don't expect anything that big in the future but I hope there will always be updates anyway to add two or three little things. ☺️
I mean its still in alpha
They need to improve the character models though. Its somehow blocky, atleast for me. But they can keep the models if they also want to keep the horror atmosphere around.

This is absolutely terrifying. Probably what I was exactly expecting from the mode itself but this is dark. Like I mentioned before, the PTSD that Akira is dealing with is gonna cause stuff like this to happen. That's what makes it an enjoyable experience.

And yet akira still his PTSD moments after he escape from saiko bleeding from death and not helping but it will be nightmarish.

Really glad this games keeps on coming.
It was a nice little surprise to play the fully "playable" version last year, and now it looks like this is becoming a real game with story.
The fact that Akira hasn’t been able to move on from Saiko because of the trauma he felt, aside that I’m excited for this

My theory is that Senpai never left school and what he lives in is another world created by the evil spirit of Saiko's doll that possessed her and created a kind of "Dark Domain" like the one in the Yu Gi Oh anime in the style of the RPG game MAKER MISAO (Since the diary shows a black shadow around the rabbit and Saiko, not to mention that her lines in the game always refer to a "HE" and that when she goes into her crazy mode she takes on a crazier and more demonic posture as the modes change). Every time he dies or runs away from school and arrives at his house, he returns to the beginning, thus staying in an eternal cycle with Saiko and her counterpart (as she said in Extreme) and every time he tries to escape, the world around him becomes more and more evil and scary as Saiko is dominated by the evil spirits and becomes practically one with them (since Japanese culture has a lot of this). The business of the other modes being from Senpai's head after Saiko theoretically dies in one of the endings makes no sense to me, since Saiko appears dressed as Bunny Girl, an outfit that, according to her diary, she would wear to seduce Senpai when she never showed such an outfit to him (besides, of course, the very strange fact that he has a trauma of her and he imagines the girl who traumatized him in a sexy gothic way, right?) not to mention certain details that Senpai could never know about her. The Nightmare Mode of the game to me is the apex of what that world has become to torture not only Senpai into thinking he has escaped and that he is now having a normal life but in fact he never left his school and he is still there with her. The fact that she is in that mode would be that she has been possessed to such an extent that she has become part of that dark world and she wants him in every way possible to become a dark being. I hope you like my theory :)
huh, i always went with the 'akira traumatized af' theory[still do, tbh], but if habupain decided to pull something like this on us, that would make sense. you do have a point, op. good analysis!
now we just need to play this mode and see what surprises it will have for us
And to think people somehow felt bad for her dying, despite the fact she had destroyed Senpai's life by murdering his friend and being a threat to his life, that Saiko had it coming.
