If you've been watching Connacht Rugby in this comp in all its forms and the European competitions the last 20 years you'll see Connacht have been on the receiving end of some outrageous officiating decisions. Standards are poor.
Perhaps you missed (Southern Hemisphere's) Warren Gatland whining about the TMO in the B&I Lions series, thus opening the door to public commentary about officiating (before the game was even played, no less!) and NOTHING HAPPENED to him. But when Erasmus made valid comments, not only did he get sanctioned, but it was draconian. World Rugby has made a mess of officiating with its lets change the laws just becasue we can yearly nonsense. Being a rugby official is the most challenging assignment for any sporting referee. But World Rugby covering for poor officiating has made a bad situation worse (and its been going of for years). "What an unsecured comment" - your willful choice to ignore history. "Persecution complex" - Hardly. I'm an American living in the Northern Hemisphere. "Why always bring things back to South Africa" - probably because the bias is so obvious.
You make a lot of good points! However, as an Ireland fan we do not get the rub of the green! At least not all the time anyway 😜. You say South Africa get sanctioned far too often and are harshly treated. I invite you to go and watch the 1st test this year in Pretoria when Ireland played the Springboks! That was as biased as it gets! Everything for Ireland was checked and scutinised to within an inch of it's life! Snyman cleared Craig Casey way past the ruck and slammed his head into the turf, no sanction! Willie Le Roux neck rolled Ronan Kelleher into a ruck and his foot knocked the ball out from which James Lowe scored a try. Not only was a perfectly legitimate try wiped out but Ireland never even got a penalty for a clear neck roll!! Marco Van Staden clearly blocked Irish clearers from clearing out Malcolm Marx! He rolled into their path deliberately and the ref didn't penalise him, he penalised Ireland for not releasing! Luke Pearce cost Ireland that series and I dont care what anyone says. South Africa wind people up, they antagonise people, they've always had a reputation for it, that's why a lot of people don't like them in rugby circles!
Storm in a teacup..will be swept under the rug.

There are a few strange Americans going around pretending to be Saffas and in a contest to see how myopic they can be. No idea what's up with that.
If it had been a Saffa he would be fined and suspended for a few weeks!
DON'T BE SHY, DO DROP A COMMENT 👀👍🏉🏉🏉
I guess once Hansen has served his twelve month ban we'll see him again in 2026
