Passed my test on Friday with one minor. The week leading up to it my instructor knocked my confidence massively, saying I wasn’t ready and he’s done all he could do. Happy to say I proved him wrong. You’ve got this
yeah my first instructor did the same, I booked the test when I thought I was ready with still a month to go, and he decided to just lambast me on my last two lessons, scaring me into mistakes I wouldn't normally make. I then went to another instructor for the last month who was miles better and passed.
Why do some instructors do that? My test is in less than 2 weeks, and my instructor has been making me feel I'm not ready, he's been killing my morale, he says if I pass, it's gonna be a miracle. And I hope I also prove him wrong. Congratulations to you on passing your test.
Regardless of her driving, I just want to say I love Sophie’s (perhaps unwarranted) confidence and her little comments/quips. Makes for a stark contrast with Erin especially when she first started lol. I think you might have your next star for the channel!
I passed my driving test 10 days ago, made lots of mistakes on my way to the test centre, and whilst taking the test , i just told myself that i have failed the exam again but to my greatest surprise. I passed the exam with 5 minors, i had 4 driving instructors as one was builder fear, one of them abandoned me, and another never felt that i was ever ready😊, am so happy that i have finally passed
Passed my test on the 2nd attempt with two minors. I love watching these videos to keep my brain ticking over while I'm sorting out my car. Everyone reading this taking their tests next year. GOOD LUCK!! You got this :)
You probably wont see this ...i still watch every video just wanna say you helped me so much! i passed my test in feb earlier this year... Im from leeds but the videos of the busy roads of london helped alot thanks again❣
Sophie is so nice, modest and funny. For about 20 hours of driving with an instructor -- and split with long intervals in-between at that -- her driving is quite remarkably decent. She has the full control of the vehicle in the majority of normal driving situations. Her problems seem to be modulating the pace according to the circumstances (she tends to kind of keep at it at a constant clip), danger awareness and car control during the manouvres. But those are the skills that need to be trained with an instructor, so it's not surprising she's having something to work on in these areas. She's very competent otherwise, and shows good attitude of focus and good skill application.
Hi Miss Aman, I've been watching lately your clearview vidéos, and It's been helpful to me and to everyone on how to follow rules & signs and drive safely. Hope you can upload videos aswell of your therapy art work. GOD bless your trip everyday ❤

She’s a good level of confident but also a little impatient lol. Looked like she was gonna mow down those pedestrians 😅 I won’t even mention the parking lol. Good luck Sophie 🤞
10:30 why do you need to stop when there's a pedestrian walking along if you know it's a grown up who won't jump under the car and if you have the space (which she did)? I live in the Netherlands and we don't have to do it otherwise parking would've taken ages here.
You can never be sure that a pedestrian won't just step out onto the road, they might have headphones/earbuds in, and what if Sophie had mounted the kerb?
@@scottsmum61 So on a busy street, you can't park ever? Given that there are tons of pedestrians constantly? The parking spots are just all empty? Didn't think so...
Indicators are only required if your moving off is going to affect someone. Best practice is to check for people behind, if there are people coming don't indicate and don't move. If there is no one behind but there are people in front then indicate and move off - so long as it won't impede the people in front.
Oh Sophie were you getting impatient? It doesn't do to get impatient especially when you also tend to rush things, that's how accidents happen. Just relax let other road users do what they're doing and wait patiently! You need to gain better control of the car and then you'll make a good driver.
Anyone knows if it’s ok to do the practical test with the rear seats folded down flat? My daughter does much better at reversing when the seats aren’t restricting her view
@@Elkay26 It depends, imo. Are they saying it is a man because of the mistake or because of the vehicle? I am a guy but I would say it is probably a man, too. How many women do you see driving white vans? There are a few but definitely in the minority. There is a reason they call it "man and van" when you hire a removals van.

Well then how would people know that you’re trying to leave? It’s better to signal your intentions before hand, so that cars that may be in the distance get an early warning that you will be moving off into regular traffic. You don’t want to signal and immediately jump into traffic as soon as it’s clear to go.
@@rylans.5365 But, if you signal while cars are about to come past they may think you are gonna pull out in front of them. On my test I waited, but there was nothing to signal to after the cars went passed, so I didn't put a signal on at all, and pretty sure I got no fault for that.
@@colinjava8447 Right but I think that’s the point! You want people that are passing to know that the car may pull out at any moment, and to prepare to slow down. You should always put your signal on regardless if there’s people around you or not, even more so if there are cars on the road.
@@rylans.5365 But based on the test, that's a fail if you make a car slow down. However if the car is far enough away to not slow down then you don't need to put the signal on early, just signal then move off.
No need to feel like an idiot. In Australia we have to have our Ls for a yr and a minimum of 100hrs driving before we can take our test. Better to be prepared than sorry.
Here in Australia (in my state, Queensland), new drivers under 25 have to do 100 HOURS of supervised driving before they can take a test. Your 40 hours isn't even half that. Take your time, it's not a competition. You'll get there.
You said she was driving too slow, 'cos of the speedo, but my perception was she drove too fast at many points, esp junctions, was a bit arrogant. Also she kept talking over you when you were trying to explain something to her she did wrong, so it wasn't sinking in. She needs to adjust her rhythms so that when she's going slow she's going fast, and when she's going fast she goes slow instead.
Dont think about how others are looking at you and your driving as that causes excessive stress and raises the likelihood of accidents. Focus on your own emotions and your own car while staying a safe distance from other vehicles while knowing the law. Focus on you and whats ahead of you and be safe out there.
