Wonderful! I'm trying this method and having a great time. Do I need to starch the background at all, or is the freezer paper in the shapes enough of a stabilizer to keep it nice and easy to sew? Also, one last question, do you match the bobbin thread to any fabric (either background or shapes)? I'm so glad you're doing these videos. Thanks!!
Hi Christy you do not need to use starch the freezer paper will act as a stabilizer. Match the bobbin thread colour to your background fabric. So glad you are enjoying the videos.
Thank you for your question. Yes it is very important to remove the freezer paper. Freezer paper will not break down in your quilt, you can not wash your quilt with freezer paper in it. There is another method using glue and washaway stabilizer, in my book Autumn Bouquet I have given step by step instructions for both methods. You can find my book on Amazon or my website. 😊
Thank you!!!
I use a cuticle stick also
