The colour they sent me was a tiny bit too dark so I contacted them to ask about exchanging, kind of assuming it would be a bit of a pain in the arse, but they got back to me straight away worked out a new shade, said I could keep the one I already had AND gave me a £15 off voucher for future purchases! I just recently ordered and got a free eyeliner! The color was not a good match and it was painless exchanging. I just went on the site and enter my order #. I didn't have to send anything back and they sent me a new foundation in the mail. Hopefully this one is a better match
I wasn't able to return mine, the page just wouldn't work for me. But i liked the eyeliner and loved the brush that both came free with it, so i guess it's cool.

My sister sent an ad for it to me a couple of months ago, I don’t wear foundation everyday only really when I’m going out and I have mild acne and acne scars and it literally smooths everything 😭 I’ll never go back to any other foundation

I ordered some in the shade #40 after doing the quiz on the website and it was too dark and too warm. But I tried it for a week. They reached out to me to ask how I was getting on and I told the problem. They came back and said that I probably needed the shade #20. They sent me the replacement and a £15 voucher and told me to keep the first one. I gave it to my daughter and it was right for her. Top customer service.

20 and I’m pretty sure I’m more a #5 or #10.
I just tried it today for first time and I’m floored. I’m 58 years old and I swear it took ten years off. Just flawless and lasted all day at work wear and tear. Pores handled. I’m truly blown away.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there's only one type of il makiage foundation, as in coverage and finish. Meaning the quiz at the start (minus questions on shade) is just to collect information and data, seems really cheeky as you think you're getting a custom made foundation

It’s a very shady brand, all the promo videos are edited to death, so much bought followers. Over 700k followers but can’t even pull 2k likes. And they delete any criticisms. What’s the point of blurring out skin after foundation applications?

I've literally been bombarded with ads for Il Makiage for months. I've heard mega mixed things about it, I've heard like 95% of people say the match is great, the other 5% have returned it like 4 times...
People seem to be happy with the coverage but I've heard of a bunch of people breaking out using it.
Sophie Louise on RUclips tried it twice and their lightest shade was too dark so maybe not for the fair skinned folk?
@@EmmaCarnduff im stupid pale and it worked for me really well I just can't use it on my forehead because my skin is really dry so I use this on the bottom of my face and then use a tinted moisturized on my forehead
Im On my third right now. I went from a 120 to a 075 and now they’re sending me shade 055. They were REALLY close though, regardless of the times I’ve switched. They still matched better than the ones I’ve purchased myself. The problem is it goes on nicely and then oxidizes a shade or 2 darker 😔
I just got mine and am just incredibly amazed how accurate the shade was for my skin. I was so impressed. I even went through that quiz so many times repeatedly to make sure I'm not misunderstanding or mistakenly trying to choose the shade I prefer instead of what my real shade is. I loved that it asked what age group, and if I have acne, wrinkles or red blemishes. If I'm oily or mixed in different parts. I was so happy with my foundation that I ordered another one and the concealer to match. I have never ever had a foundation that matched my face and neck like this ever before. I'm hooked.
That's right!!!😃 I was checking reviews out again, n couldn't remember why I didn't try it yet🤔until you said that u heard it breaks u out!! THATS WHY🤪I'm not crazy about my natural skin but I'm 40 n half my life I struggled with acne. 🥺 N I'm just not willing to risk making the skin gods angry🤫I did the quiz n the shade looked too dark, which is why lost interest. Probably a good thing I hesitated, don't have 50 bucks to throw away, not to mention, no frickin place to go! It wasn't meant to be.🤷♀️
Girl, you don’t even need foundation. You look like you have one small acne scar. You’ve got beautiful skin! I’m jealous! I regularly have at least 4 active pimples or cystic acne on my jawline and yet I still go most days without wearing makeup. I’m also pretty pale- Ilmakiage said I’m a shade 10

I just used this foundation for the first time and I absolutely love it! the shade I got matched my skin tone perfectly and wearing it all day didn’t make my face too oily as opposed to drug store foundations. the only downside is that it’s around 45 dollars but sometimes you gotta spoil yourself for a good product lol

I tried it too, it is amazing. I wasn’t happy with any shades or brands in world when it comes to foundation. But man this changed the story. I answered their quiz and they sent me a product and that is the best. I’m never gonna change any products ever in my life. I love IL Makiage and vote for this one.

I ordered this foundation after seeing lot of reviews. I am happy with foundation. I do not have any pimple or spot which I can confirm if it can cover but it matches skin and can be wear in daytime. My skin is super sensitive and this product doesn’t create any issue for me. Free foundation brush and eye liner is excellent. Eye linear is excellent as it dry quickly and do not smudges at all and its super easy to apply.
Amazing match! I have heard though that they only sell one type of foundation (formula wise) so asking if you prefer matte or natural etc are just questions to make you think you're getting the perfect foundation.
I am 43 years old. I have never found a foundation that ever worked properly for me. Shade, undertone, matte, that didn't make me look cakey and 10 years older than I am......until I found this foundation a year ago. I swear by this company. The concealer that goes with it....is good as well. So glad to see you trying it out. It is worth every cent you spent on it.

i got sent shade 95, was way too orange for me but they were spot on customer service, they've sent me out shade 35 now so we'll see. Free eyeliner pen and also a £15 gift card for the inconvenience and i can keep the original bottle they sent me. Cannot fault that! Can't wait to see how the shade 35 does!
I just purchased mine. I also love how I only had do to pay shipping and handling for my 14 day trial and if it doesn’t match your just return it. AND the customer service is literally AMAZING 🤩

Got mine this morning in shade 40. I saw so many bad reviews that I was kinda dreading it turning up but after a quick test (like 5 mins) it seems like the shade is a perfect match so I’m excited to give it some quality time later.. x
I'm thinking about purchasing this, but being cheap ( you have to be cheap when you don't have much money! ), I couldn't bring myself to make the purchase without watching some reviews and reading through some comments first! I was so excited to get this. They matched me to shade 60 too. It looks too yellow. Idk if it was your lighting in your video but although you are gorgeous it looked yellow to me too

I’m so glad I found somebody also matched with 60! I do wish the coverage was more. I did only use their brush though. I’ll try the sponge tomorrow. I have freckles and couldn’t cover as much as my Tarte shape tape

You definitely should try it. I like this foundation a lot, and I am pretty picky about foundation because not many look good on my 41 year old dryish skin. Plus their customer service is PHENOMENAL. I got the foundation with their try before you buy (you pay $5 for shipping, they send you the product, try 14 days and send it back or they charge you on day 15). They also sent a free eyeliner. In Christmas, I realized it was my 14 day, and it was a tad dark so I had meant to send it back. I emailed them to tell them that I couldn’t send it because it was Christmas and the shipping places were closed. They emailed me back within an hour, on Christmas, and told me to just keep it, no charge. Then 3 days later, they emailed me saying they were sorry I wasn’t happy with my purchase and gave me a $50 gift code to their site. I’m really blown away by this company.
I bought it when it first came out, I thought I hated it, however, I now LOVE it, and yes, they got my shade so perfect, it has to be witchcraft!!!

I love this foundation! Its my second favorite foundation. Got my perfect shade match and I find that it looks better and better throughout the day as it melts into my skin.

Another is the L'oreal Pro Glow foundation. Lmk what you think! 😀
The No7 Lift & Luminate powder is great too, but my favorite powder is the It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination. It also helps to use a primer water spray & primer before your foundation and then use the primer water spray when you're done with all your makeup. Follow it up with a setting spray that makes it last. I use the Wet N Wild primer water sprays (rose, coconut, cucumber) and Milani Make It Last setting spray (original). I also use very little powder.

Hi, this is my first view of your channel. You are very honest, I love it. I have this foundation, had it for a while now.. love it. I got the concealer too with the foundation brush. They sent me a free gift of an eye liner. Great too. Please do a full face of this brand, i would be watching to see what you think. Look forward to watching many more videos.
Really weird thing is I’m a good bit lighter than you and #60 is also my color and it also blends well with my skin tone. I just got it today. So we’ll see if I keep it. It is very sheer.
I'm trying this product out at the moment but was quite disappointed. It looks clumpy and dry on my nose but at the same it doesn't stick to my nose! I've done everything they've said with cleanse, tone and moisturise. I've tried it with and without primer. What am I doing wrong 😔
I'm glad you reviewed this because I've been tempted by this for a while but also turned off by the price
Personally, I have tried it and compared it to my CoverGirl foundation. I tried the concealer as well and compared it to my L.A. Colors concealer. Il Makiage isn't bad by any means but my cheaper stuff seems to work better on my skin. I'll still use the bottle of products I got from Il Makiage but couldn't afford to keep purchasing it. It's somewhere around 50 to 55 dollars to get their concealer and foundation but the cheaper stuff is like 12 dollars at the dollar general. I'm ghostly pale lol and the lightest shades in the cheaper foundation and concealer just seem to match me better and last longer.

You should compare Il Makiage to Sheglam from Shein. I did half and half on my face and literally could not tell a difference.

Gave this foundation a go after seeing the ads but only bought it after seeing this video as trust your judgement! They sadly got the first match a bit off but their customer service was brilliant, they asked a few more questions and sent me out another shade for free and let me keep the old one. Shade 010 for me! BTW if anyone wants shade 040 lemme know, I have a nearly full bottle here!

Hope it's a match for you but if it's not seriously they are really quick at sorting for you and will ask for pictures of your skin tone to sort it, couldn't fault them for getting it right in the end :-)

Nothing has ever beat my cyo foundation and yes I know its discontinued but thire sister company renamed it and has it at Walgreens so it's still available. I will buy this and give it a try tho cause my skin is so much more oily in the summer and I'm looking for something more sweat proof. Hopefully this will be good.

I always want to see how it sets on my face. I have larger pores on my nose and sometimes foundation accentuates them. Also, when it dries some foundations look chalky on me. Does anyone know if this sets nicely on large pores and sets smooth?
Definitely best with primer and moisturizer. it has alcohol which can be a bit drying, but i still like how it sets. I have acne, scarring, and pores.

80s baby here. I've been wearing makeup for 25 years and never use foundation because I've NEVER found anything even close to my skin tone. Not a lot of pink undertone foundations out there. I just ordered this stuff and waiting on it in a few days. Man I hope it matches. I'm about to be 35 and am just starting to get wrinkles and slight skin discoloration. Praying I can cover it up for no other reason than to make me feel pretty.

Cause they only sell one foundation. I commented on their IG post asking why they are asking all this unnecessary questions if they are only selling one foundation. They've just deleted my comment. My fav foundation ever was cover fx water based one. I would use a little and mix it with a little bit of face cream and warm it up in my palm and it was so nice and glowy without overdoing it and I have such dry skin. I don why they pulled them from Sephora and shoppers😫
What kind of moisturizer do you use with it? I have dry skin too
@@goldenmist9 well back when I was using it my skin was super dry so I actually used that thick vitamin e cream. I don’t use it anymore though but you can use any moisturizer and nowadays I just use sunscreen if I’m going out and it’s pretty greasy enough for me🤣
