A big part of affliction warlocks dmg comes from shadow bolts still, so no, you can't have less hit unless you want to suck. It's good to put points into +hit for affliction spells early on when you won't be hit capped any way, but in no way would you ever keep being uncapped for hit later on if you have the option to cap.
I don’t play on private servers, and my memory could be wrong, but I recall that you start the rotation with a trinket macro on Shadowbolt to try and proc shadow weaving ( along with your trinket) before you apply DoTs.
Affliction hit rating needs to be the same as destro , shadow bolt is still the main big dmg of this spec regardless of how strong your dots are, and is not affected by suppression talent
Immolate in my opinion is still good to cast especially if you have a fire mage in raid. If you're really wanting to increase dps I personally suggest it. If you have reliable healers and also know when to life tap you should be fine mana wise.
Hey, man. Are you playing on the official server? Do you have the opportunity to check the effect of the +95 spd ring Band of the Eternal Saga from the spells of the affliction branch?
I will be going affliction because in tbc it probably is the most diverse caster im the game. More buttons to hit is more entertaining than spamming 1-2buttons for max dps.
I feel like snapshotting COA at the beginning of the trinket would be a loss of DPS. Ideally you time it so your previous COA runs out as your trinket buff is about to fall off, then snapshot. Have you tested this at all, Meta?
I mean if he is affliction he will never do CoA in raid anyway, snapshotting in the beginning of the trinket isn’t too bad but tbh it dipends if it’s already up or not, because never want to refresh CoA before it ends since it does most dmg in the end, so this a very timing specific case
You go aff for shadow embrace and malediction. You go to ruin with this build. You are a support. This debuff limit thing people are talking about is moot. First of all, you dont need that many extra slots in the first place. Second its no limit in tbc classic.
For PvP: Tankiness and self healing CC Very few ways for other players to avoid DoT damage and very little self healing for other dps classes Consistent damage not requiring hard casts
aoe packs => cycle with tab targeting and cast seeds on multiple mobs. regular 3-4 mob packs in raids => first coe main dps target, then put corruption on all targets.
The best rotation for AoE is too early on spam curse of elements on mobs while tank builds aggro, then spam seed. Curse of elements will "outdps" any other curse in 25-man. If you're on a 5-man or something just spam curse of agony then seed.

Especially in the second spec I mentioned where the only affliction DPS spell you use is corruption.
İf i remember correct the epic crafted tailor gear improved your hit rating so you wont have to worry about it at the prebis part.
The biggest dps buff to affliction was the debuff limit increase

Great video. But every tbc lock guide ive saw skipps on the aoe rotation. Do i multidot, do i only spam seed?
Best question i’ve seen. Usually people only explain basics in guide- this is the stuff we really want to know!

I did some good damage on Illhoof with seed of corruption IIRC
Seed of corruption all day
PLS give me your Addons and HUD it looks so good
Look up ElvUI and Necrosis I believe. That appears to be a majority of what you're seeing.
